In this episode Kaden sits down for a cup of coffee (virtually) with Arienette Zak. Ari has been an Amplify artist since year one, and is a poet, photographer, poetry coach and community organizer. She has been a long standing host of various open mics in St. Albert and currently mentors ST.A.R.K. Poets (St. Albert Rose Kane Poets). Ari shares about everything from her 'cringe-worthy' first time taking the stage to her worst case of stage fright to her dynamic new poetry projects she's working on. She also has some fantastic wisdom to share about getting started on your own writing journey, the challenges of being a poet and the importance of community. Graham Churchill has toured the world as drummer for the punk rock outfits, Belvedere, This Is A Stand Off and Choke. Only the second fully adulting adult to join the Humans of Amplify podcast, Graham explains how he turned his start living in his parent's house in St. Albert into almost 30 years of playing, creating, recording and touring. Kaden asks about just how much gear Graham has broken over the years, what a polyrhythm is and learns that Graham's advice to his younger self is "don't be a goof." Luc Tellier is a talented theatre actor, director and educator who's been in over 25 productions. A St. Albert Children's Theatre alumni, he graduated from (our favourite sponsor) MacEwan University in their Theatre Arts Program and has gone on to be cast in productions with The Citadel Theatre, the Edmonton Opera and the Freewill Shakespeare Company. In this episode Kaden and Luc discuss the challenges of doing two shows SIMULTANEOUSLY (yup... as in at the exact same time), learning American Sign Language for a role, and his one-man version of Cats!
