This title deceived us into thinking we might be in for a light-hearted read - that was not the case. In this week's book chat, Anisha and Atifa talk about childhood trauma due to parenting, teaching consent to young children and relationships (romantic and otherwise).

Another time travel book!

Toshikazu Kawaguchi's book sets up a very unique opportunity for visitors to a cafe to travel through time to get their closure. 

In this episode we went on many tangents, discussing time travel, major historical moments, and a little Shrek reference.

My oh my, we were hit in the feels with this book!

Jhumpa Lahiri's The Lowland follows Subhash from Calcutta to the Rhode Islands, as he experiences loss, parenthood, and the weakening of family ties. 

All that's left to say is, Jhumpa Lahiri, how dare you?

This week we chat about a medical fiction that follows the 24 hours after the death of Simon Limbres from the perspectives of all those who were affected. As much as this is a brilliant book, we found it to be a difficult read.
