I was asked to be a guest speaker on Emily Carsons, Fourth Trimester Education series on the topic of postpartum vaginal steaming. I was so honoured as I respect Emily's work greatly. Emily is a postpartum educator, an acupuncturist, cranio sacral practitioner and a birth story listener. She asks beautiful questions and has a very informed background and you will love hearing her talk in between questions!

It was such a pleasure to speak with Aine Homer, AKA The Baby Reflux Lady all about Reflux! Aine goes into vulnerable personal moments and gives so so much information to help mothers with reflux their babies to get to the root of the cause. Aine is a fountain of knowledge and so passionate about helping mother identify and support them and their babies with reflux.

Kaitlin Klimmer is a self-proclaimed child-development nerd, geeking out on all things early years. She has a degree in psychology, a diploma in early childhood education, a certificate in forest school education and most recently, a baby-led sleep and well being specialisation. She worked with children and families for over a decade before becoming a mother herself. It was then that she truly realised how hard it can be to reconcile peaceful parenting with parental self-care. She works to bring more ease and closeness to the parent child relationship. Her practice is rooted in respect and connection-centered approaches.

In this podcast I speak with Samsara Tanner  about what a doula’s role is for birth and postpartum. We speak in depth about what kind of care women can get postpartum, supporting women after birth into motherhood. We also speak about village building, kg hypnobirthing, placenta encapsulation, the role of the mother and so many more stories and knowledge.  Samsara has some beautiful stories to tell. I felt shivers throughout this while conversation. She is such an empowering woman and I can’t wait for her to be nourishing your souls through your ears.

Samsara is a  Mother to four  adult children and has been a doula for her own three Grandchildren.

She is a trained childbirth educator, and KG Hypnobirthing teacher , a Birth Doula, Postnatal/partum doula and counsellor. She also delivers courses for both doulas and postnatal/partum doulas with Conscious Birthing doula Training. She runs the Village Birth-keepers midwife and doula practice with independent midwife Kemi Johnson.
