Let's talk about the first line of defense when our dogs get sick. Whenever you suspect something is going, on here's what to do. 

You can't take an herb and expect it to do what a drug does. That's impossible. But it's super important to know the difference and which may be best for you and your dog. 

 I learned something new the other day from Dr. Tom O'Bryan at the 5G Summit and it is so interesting I have to share. It's all about how your body creates food allergies in order to protect itself.

You and I know there is human grade dog food, yet there are some big corporations who say it's not true. Who is right? Us or them?

What the heck does that mean? Pretty much what it sounds like but it's not shed through the skin or fur. It's rarely discussed but should be so you know what the risks are for both you and your dogs

This is one of those age old questions that never seems to be answered well enough for us because we worry. We either try to stop it before it happens or we feel like we did something wrong when our dog vomits.

But what if there is a good reason? I think there is and I want to put your mind at ease.

While it seems like a good idea logically to add fresh vegetables to your dog's meal, there is a big downside.

I wanted to share the story of the first time I bought and served tripe. What a hoot. And remember this: tripe must be green and if you dog has never drooled, he will over this!

Food grade diatomaceous earth is a simple non toxic canine flea control  and keeps some internal parasites at bay as well. Should you use it?

A personal story about dog cancer, diabetes and blindness

I just ran across a recipe I love for dog ear infection, ear mites and yeast as well so I want to share it with you. Get your pen and paper out. It's easy and takes about 12 minutes to make. I even used this on my kids when they were little and it worked like a charm.
