If you know Mario, then you know he is a poet, radio personality, activist, producer, event promoter, Mayor of Hyde Park, and legend Mario Smith.

I had the honor and privilege to get Mario on for a few minutes to discuss his life and career growing up destined to be in front of the microphone. He has his own radio show "News From the Service Entrance" and promotes events throughout Chicago. This young man is a true legend and an overall great person to be around. This podcast really deserves a listen and his name deserves a Google search.

I haven't seen my guy @TheMansNigel in like 6 weeks, so we had to get together and bring 2 hours and 20 minutes of conversation. I always enjoy making content with my friends, because podcast episodes are how we normally hang out but with microphones. Today, I got to spend a couple of hours with my guys @Tweet5950 and @Mjyourmajesty. We have a terrific conversation about Chicago, music, gang culture, and so much more that you need to listen to. 

Tweet has been an artist for years now who lately has moved into a managerial role, working with Cam Jae, a fellow Chicago artist who just dropped "Ready or Not" and every song is a banger. Mjyoumajesty also has years of artistry working as a songwriter, rapper, and producer. You can find their music on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. So there is NO REASON to not listen to their work and follow them on Instagram.

We may even drop some music together in 2022...

John Escalante is the current Chief of Police of Northeastern Illinois University. He spent 30 years as a Chicago Police officer, where he climbed the ranks, eventually becoming First Deputy Superintendent and Interim Superintendent before retiring. In this episode, we learn about his life story, and what made him so successful in his career. If you come to NEIU you can definitely see him walking around helping anyone who needs help or has a question.

Angel Manuel's Meetup #33 features Bombshell Blonde, Enveez, & Lil Teej. We vibe for over two hours talking about Trophy Blonde 2.0, life as a producer, starting music careers, and much more. We also get a couple exclusive new tracks on the podcast and this is the only place to hear it.   For those that don't know, Enveez has the vocals, the beats, and he engineers. Enveez is like a one-man army. Bombshell just dropped Trophy Blonde 2.0 which is 20 tracks of fire. Lil Teej has begun his career and we should see his music very soon. 

@T3ndo_96 is a Chicago rapper who rides for Chicago talent. He's worked with @nickkingz_ on "Melodies and Meltdowns" and producers including @ProdByChris_773 and @its_slowbeatz. T3ndo told us the hiatus is over, and we can expect new tracks soon.

These young men are inspirations to Chicago's next generation. icyybands is a Bradley University graduate and artist who makes dope music, eye-catching artwork, and has a mind for business. Jack is also a new Bradley University graduate who understands business and social media marketing better than most people. Tunesbeboofin is a Chicago artist with hits after hits. Velly is the manager and lifetime friend who assists everything from vlogs to music videos to giving honest feedback on the music. Friends since 5 years old, they have come a long way and I believe can definitely make it far in the industry. Listen to Tunesbeboofin on all streaming platforms. My personal favorite songs are Go and LV Tags. In this episode, we talk about music, hobbies, plans for the future, and much more. Rose has a somber story to tell. Her son and nephew were convicted of a crime that Rose maintains they did not do. I asked her to tell her story on my platform and so I could ask her a few questions as well. Rosa Rubio is a real-life superhero. Educated at Trinity Christian College, she received her Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in education. She is currently the Community Program Coordinator for Gads Hill Center where she oversees multiple programs educating families in physical, mental, and financial health. I interned for her for a couple of months where I saw firsthand how dedicated she is to her job, programs, and families. Check out her projects through Gads Hill Center. 

Vlad Fernandez is the Coordinator for Advising and Outreach at Northeastern Illinois University. He made me fall in love with my school again and I have been there for a year already. He got his undergrad from UIC where he also began his 25 years of working in higher education. We talk about school, business, and his life among other things. If I have not convinced you to come to school with me then this man can do it. I swear by NEIU's ability to be a great school. Cindy is my president at Rho Chapter of Alpha Psi Lambda. She is wildly intelligent, is a strong leader, and I believe can succeed in any situation. She is almost finished with her master's program getting her M.A.T. in elementary education. She explains her journey from high school to almost being a school teacher herself. If you want to go to college, come to Northeastern Illinois University and join Alpha Psi Lambda. We are the first and largest co-ed Latinx-based organization, established on February 11, 1985. You will be with some good company if you do.

Julio is a fellow senior at Northeastern Illinois University. He is the most dedicated young person I have met so far and takes care of business like no one else. He began the Investment Society as a sophomore and is well versed in different investment vehicles. He will be an important businessman in the near future and I wish him all the success possible.

Kristen Mackie is a young legend with 40 years of experience directing stage productions. She directed my three shows at Guerin Prep where she worked teaching English and Theatre classes for 32 years, one of which we performed at Illinois State for the Illinois High School Theatrefest. She served on the board of the Illinois Theatre Association in several positions including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Secondary Division Chair. If anyone needs help on how to direct, she is the person to call. 

Dr. Agopian has a story he describes as a series of fortunate events. He got his Bachelor's degree from Haigazian University, Master's degree from Lebanese American University, and Doctorate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and currently holds the greatest mustache of the 21st century. His doctoral dissertation employed a mixed-methods approach to explore how market mavens present their expertise on social media. He was my marketing professor and is incredibly knowledgeable of the nuance that goes on behind the scenes with companies.  He has one of the most interesting stories I have ever heard and is a fantastic interview. 

Dr. Robert Cook is an incredibly bright young professor at Northeastern Illinois University College of Business and Technology where he teaches Quantitative Management courses. He has his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees all from the University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa, ROLL TIDE. He is an avid foodie, enjoys time outdoors, and enjoys reading. Although admittedly, he rarely has free time. This episode is long because he has so many interesting stories to tell and each one is more interesting than the last.

Chef Jack Wynne is a 30 year veteran of the culinary world. He began as a dishwasher and worked his way up to chef de cuisine of two different restaurants. He began his career in Detroit and made his way to Chicago, Japan, and Seattle. He is a wealth of knowledge of cooking and culinary, and is a fantastic guest. The microphone seemed a bit odd, but his personality and wisdom still shine through. He has big things coming in the new year, and when they show up, we will promote them. 

Alejandra Sanchez is the Northeastern Illinois University Relations Coordinator and inner-city human resources & management major student. Alejandra is the point person for a new product our school is using called Handshake. Handshake is the #1 way college students find internships and jobs right out of college. It is new to the college of business in that they rolled it out a couple of months ago. I personally know one person who found a job 3 months before he graduated and they paid for him to relocate. 

I met Josh freshman year of high school and immediately he was known as the computer genius. He hacked into school and gave himself administrative abilities, gave the whole school Madden on our laptops, and plenty of other really cool things. Today Josh is still into computers and is also a proud member of the Furry Fandom community. He is a very interesting man with a wealth of knowledge. 

This episode features my cousin Chelsey. She is dedicated to fitness, mental health, and taking care of the spirit. Mind, body, soul is her motto. Today I got to talk with Edwin Medina. Edwin sits on the Student Advisory Council at NEIU for the company GetSet. We also talked about his school experience and our shared experiences being students in our late 20s. Edwin is a Junior in Marketing and will get his master's degree in leadership. He also has the goal of bringing equity to higher education. Also, follow my new Instagram page @theammpod where I may or may not post stuff and interact with people. Lastly I will have a new logo soon, I am hiring someone else because clearly, I am not artistic.

Kawanis is a new stand-up comedian. He is also my friend and someone that is always fun to talk to and play videogames with. This episode we talk about plans for the future, funny stuff, politics, and a few other things as well. Jocelyn Ares is a fantastic digital marketer. She is masterful at multiple digital editing software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and more. She does commissions through her Instagram @art.of.arez and will respond quickly to requests. Besides being a great artist, she is also my cousin and we talk about art, dating, family, and life in general. Be sure to check out the videos on YouTube and leave some nice comments. 

Dr. Bedell is the Dean for Northeastern Illinois College of Business and Management. He literally helped write the book on human resources. He went to school with Danny Manning, celebrated the 1988 NCAA championship with Kansas, and got his doctorate sitting courtside watching Bob Knight's Hoosier teams compete every year in the 90s. He has years of corporate and academic experience with Payless, California State, and Northeastern Illinois University. 

I was able to sit down with ThatGirlEmmelly. We had a couple of cigars, a glass of wine, and just joked about stuff and told funny stories. If anyone is trying to build a brand, she is the person to talk to.
