My favorite tool is PowerPoint – a simple to use, yet effective tool from Microsoft.

Your answer can be yes or no, but in this blog, I will be sharing the ways the tips, the things which we can use to make our presentations, PowerPoint presentations effective, engaging, and more understandable. If you are unfamiliar with PowerPoint design principles, then creating a slide in PowerPoint slide can be difficult.

Let us check in the below-mentioned tips one by one on how to keep your audience engaged, interested, and informed by making a simple, engaging PowerPoint presentation.

Most of the time we look for job opportunities which our teachers suggest to us, which our parents suggest to us or our friends are looking forward to.

But is it the right approach?

No!

What we should do then?

First of all, we should know what we exactly want.

For this, we should simply ask a few questions to ourselves.

1.) What do we like doing?

2.) What are we good at?

3.) What does the world need for the next 10 years?

4.) What is that for which we can be paid?

We should answer all the above questions and come to a common result after that. Accordingly, we should look forward to the job opportunities that are available right now in the market.

This will help us to know what we want and match that with the market needs and will ultimately result in satisfaction, happiness, growth, the right kind of salary returns, etc.

In the end, we will be making the job finding process easy for us and we will also take less time to get selected for the interviews because we have already shortlisted the right kind of opportunities for us. Also, it will help us to prepare ourselves for the required skills.

Step no 1 – Think of #EnglishWords

The main problem which most of the people face while speaking in English is thinking in English. Forming the sentences in English can be difficult in the beginning.

Step 2: Think of #CompleteSentences  Now that you are aware of the names of the things around you, start with the next step. Start framing the sentences.

Step 3:  Start to use in English Everyday  The first two steps were about getting the words right and framing the sentences in English right.

Step 4: Tell a Story  When we are able to form a sentence, then simply start with the simplest method for speaking fluently. Start to narrate the story.

The first and the foremost thing to learn the #language in the best way is to learn the rules of English #spellings.

I have a 3 P formula which is practical and used with 1000’s of students. They have been benefitted with the formula and become a good English communicator. Also, the advantage with the formula training is you can learn from home.

The question asked by people is "I do not have #goals. What to do?"

There are two #situations which people are in general cases-

The goals which can actually #satisfy them,

The goals which can #motivate them,

The #goals which can help them to #grow

How to find #truegoals?

See, If we generally talk to anybody there are major time following #commonareas in any

#person'slife.

#Relationships

#Career

#HealthandWellness

#Finances

#PersonalGrowth

First 4 #domains lead to overall growth in 5th domain.

Now, what we need to do?

We need to identify whether we want to have any sorts of #betterment in any of the above domains. If yes then, that is the domain where we should #makegoals.

Though at any given point of time a person will need betterment in all the domains which are mentioned above. If you have more than one domain to work on, then set their #priority. It will help you to decide how much time and what #efforts needs to give for the goals.

Then, there are 4 types of goals:  #Lifetimegoals The goals are the ones that takes 10 years or more than that to achieve the goals.

Generally this is something which is your #highpointoflife or #idealfutureself. These goals help you to #transformandevolve with #time.   #Longtermgoals

These are the goals that take 5 to 10 years to achieve and plays very important role in overall #growthofours. We all make them in our #career domain and #personalgrowth domain.

#Shorttermgoals

These are the goals which helps you to reach your long term goals. These can be for a month to 1 year.

#Settingstonegoals These are the #transactional goals which allows you to reach #short-term goals which ultimately are helping you to +achieve long-term and lifetime goals.

How can we improve our vocabulary?

How can we #improve our #vocabulary When we #talk or #communicate we do it with the help of #words so, our #choice of words while #communicating should be really #appropriate. Many times I have seen people facing a #problem that when they talk they are either short of words or some word is just at the back of their #mind but it is not coming out of their #mouth. This indirectly makes us #fearful, we #fumble and lose our confidence. The ultimate result will be a #fear of #communication.  So what should we do? We should solve this problem by #growing our #vocabulary  We can grow our vocabulary by various #methods but the best way to do so is to learn a minimum of 1 new word each day.  One way can be to use any #dictionary and learn one work each day. But the #better way is to make your own dictionary and write every day the words you have #learned.   While #conversing or #writing if you get #stuck on one word you just need to use google and find the meaning of that word in #English itself. Then write the word and meaning in your #dictionary. Also, mention one #similar word and #opposite word. Write one #real-life #usage of that word as you will #remember the #word much better if the use is from #reallife.

The first thing is to keep trying and practicing the language to learn it. This can be used by everyone if you are #travelling to the place where the #language is different.

3 steps to learn English

As far as public speaking is concerned, nervousness is normal.

Accept that you are nervous, so prepare and practice. Do not associate these feelings with you not being able to speak publicly.

This nervousness will help you if you take it positively.

Prepare the content as per the audience. Write the content and rewrite if needed. Once you prepare the content rehearse and practice the same. It will help you to be confident in regard to the content.

When you are giving an interview, one thing to remember is “Honesty is the best policy”.

You should be honest the way you give answers and what you give an answer.

When you give answers:

1.) Give correct and true information.

2.) Do not say anything which you do not know.

3.) If the interviewer uses words that you do not understand, then just follow the following things:

-> Do not be afraid.

-> ask for clarification and see if the explanation makes sense.

-> if you still, do not get a clue, then you should say that you are unsure of the concept, but you are excited to learn about the industry in this role.

No one is perfect!

We all learn and grow. In this way, you also showcase, how you handle pressurizing situations.

When you have to prepare the answers of the interview questions, try using the STAR interview answering techniques.

STAR stands for

Situation: First thing is to open up the story by giving a brief description of providing context. Your answer basically should give details like who, what, where, when, and how of the question. Be specific by providing important details and do not be general.

Task: You can explain the way in which you tackled the task. Here, you should highlight the challenges, and hurdles that were faced by you. Also, define the task which needed to be accomplished. You can give a relevant, and real example.

Action: You should now tell the steps you took to complete the task. Focus on your traits and skills which helped you to complete the task.

Result: Last, you should close the story by telling the results you achieved. Mention the results, learnings and accomplishments.

One important tool for visualization is the vision board.

What is a vision board?

It is a creative way to picture your goals, what you want in life in one place. It can also be called a dream board.

It is a very powerful tool having lots of things like pictures, quotes, collages, doodles as it can help us transform.

Why do we need a vision board?

We need a vision board because:

  • It helps us to plan our goals.
  • It helps us to track our goals.
  • It helps us to be self-motivated.
  • It is really important for a realistic approach.

What tools can we use?

We can make a vision board by using:

  1. A diary or journal
  2. Worksheets
  3. Mobile apps
  4. Create your own

How can we make a vision board?

There are four steps for making a vision board:

  1. Defining your goals - You need to know what you want in order to make a vision board. for knowing how to define your goals pls check the session in the link.
  2. Find your inspiration - Just have the cutouts of the picture, word, quote, person, a situation that can inspire you. Spend as much time as you want in the same.
  3. Mapping out your board - Arrange all the creative stuff you have just collected in a way that satisfies you. Use as many quotes, words as you want. Try to add time, the date for references once you do it.
  4. Bring your vision board to life - To make it part of your life place it at a visible place near your bed, dressing table, workplace. Just have a look at it and visualize the same for 5 minutes in the morning and evening.
  5. Few more things to take care of are:

-> Be realistic.

-> Set the intention.

How to prepare for a mock interview?

You need to take up a mock interview as seriously as you would take a real interview. The below-mentioned suggestions can be of help:

Practice with the professional mock interviewer

The best thing while you give a mock interview is, make sure the person who is taking the mock interview is a professional.

Interview with multiple people

The more you practice, the more you will get better at it. You should practice for a mock interview multiple times with multiple people.

Recreate the interview setting

You will get the real settings, irrespective of whether it is an in-person mock interview, group interview, or over the phone or video call.

Research the company before the interview

One question that many employers ask is “What do you know about your company”. To answer this question and be more confident about the interview, you need to research the company and the position thoroughly.

Dress as a regular interview

Everyone knows that the first impression is the last impression and this is where appropriate dress comes into the picture.

Keep your CV and other documents ready

As in the case of a real interview, you will carry a CV or resume along with other documents. You should prepare all the documents, including CV and other relevant documents.

Practice the interview questions using the STAR method

A perfect way to improve #spokenEnglish is the best way to master the English language and it will also help you to serve you well on many different levels. It will help you read #smoothly and become #fluent and #confident.  

To all the learners of English, I would like to encourage you to read aloud. It will help you to #comprehend what you are #reading. In this, you are #listening to your own #voice and it will assist you to #understand the #pronunciation better with #clarity.  

There are many benefits of #readingaloud to improve English, which are as follows: When you read aloud, you are building your #listeningskills and it will, in turn, #discover your #writing #voice. Reading aloud will help you to #detect how to have a #dialogue and #narrate things. This is one way that can improve the #diction and #expression to help you develop your #speaking and #writingskill. You will be able to detect #syllables and hence have better #pronunciation. It also improves your #memorizing ability and sees the images in your mind. 

When you read aloud, you will improve your #spelling. It is one way that can help you practice your #publicspeakingskills.  When you read aloud, you do not have to:   #Think about what you are going to say- You can focus on the #pronunciation of the #words and #sentences. 

Think if the #speech is #correct or not – You can focus on getting the #intonation #right and making the #flow of #speech. Worry about what anyone else will think, even if they see you #practicing – #reading is fine and correct thing and you can do it.   

Reading aloud to improve English is the best thing to be done.     What material to use for reading aloud: Though you can use any material for reading aloud, here are a few examples   #Englishnewspaperarticles. #Onlinenews #articles or any other website you find interesting. You can write something yourself and then read it aloud. English #fiction or any #books, just make sure that you start with easy #content. You have to choose one topic for the day and record your speech on that topic. If this is done for a minimum of 10 days, you will start noticing the improvement.

When you are working on one topic, then follow the PIPEC method to create the speech.

P is PURPOSE – The first thing to do while presenting a speech is to define the purpose of your speech and what is there for the audience in it.

I is IMPORTANCE – The second thing in the speech is to share the importance of the topic for the listeners. This will create their interest in the topic.

P is PREVIEW – After the importance, you should share all the relevant points in a detailed manner.

E is EXAMPLE – Now, let the audience understand the point and for this, you can share a real-life example. It will help the audience to understand the topic well.

C is CONCLUDE – At the end, you should conclude the topic by repeating the main points.

This is a very common issue, so follow the following point in order to make sure that the audience is able to retain the content.

Introduce with Hook up.

Tell a story.

Ask questions during the presentation.

If the above points are taken into consideration, then the content will be retained by the audience.

How to plan and actually achieve your life goals?

Where would you like to see yourself after 5 or 10 years?

What is your ultimate destination?

What is your current place and what is your destination?

Following steps can be helpful to plan your life goals that can help you start your journey to reach to your destination.

Step 1- Have a list of your goals ready

The goals are important for you, which are the ambitions that can be achieved, if efforts are made.

Step 2 – Define the time frame for goal accomplishment

Short term goals – These are the goals which means the goals need to be achieved in a short time period like 10 minutes, 1 day, 1 week or maximum 1 year.

Long term goals – These are the goals which means the goals need more than 1 year to achieve the goals.

Step 3 – Write down your goals daily Step 4 – Write and plan the actions needed to achieve each goal

When you write each goal, you also need to list down the things, actions you would need to do in order to complete each task to achieve all the goals.

Step 5 – Write down the specific and realistic timeline

When you have mentioned the action plan, you need to mention the exact timeline, including month and year by which you will achieve the goals.

Step 6 – Schedule your task in the To-Do list

After all this, you know all your goals and timeline. You should now make a schedule of what to do when. Plan the tasks week wise to keep the record of the progress in your goal achievement.

Public speaking is not about accent, language, but about the content you cover during the public speech. While presenting the content make sure to work on the points what you cover. The content should be in the logical order and in organized.
For having the logical order of the content first know the time of the speech. Divide the content in 3 parts – introduction, content and conclusion.
Introduction and conclusion should take 10% of the time and the content should take the rest of the time. In the introduction tell the audience what is there for them in it?
In the content portion decide how many points you want to cover and allocate all the points appropriate time. Do it with the help of POSEC method. While concluding, tell the main points of the content. To know more about it, check the video.

Step no 1 – Think of #EnglishWords

The main problem which most of the people face while speaking in English is thinking in English. Forming the sentences in English can be difficult in the beginning.

Step 2: Think of #CompleteSentences  Now that you are aware of the names of the things around you, start with the next step. Start framing the sentences.

Step 3:  Start to use in English Everyday  The first two steps were about getting the words right and framing the sentences in English right.

Step 4: Tell a Story  When we are able to form a sentence, then simply start with the simplest method for speaking fluently. Start to narrate the story.

The first and the foremost thing to learn the #language in the best way is to learn the rules of English #spellings.
