What Does ADHD Feel Like (For Me)?

What Does ADHD Feel Like (For Me)?

People often ask me what ADHD feels like, so I have made this podcast to explain (or at least attempt to). Even though ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, this is a poor name for a condition where there we actually have too much attention - usually on the wrong things! Although every ADHDer is different, for me ADHD is characterised by a constantly moving brain and a need to be doing something novel pretty much all the time!

Dear ADHDer

Getting diagnosed with ADHD is a life-changing experience and something which shouldn't be downplayed. In this episode, Annabel reaches out to those who have recently been given the ADHD diagnosis (especially Combined ADHD) and shares some of her experiences in coming to terms with her own July 2020 diagnosis. This episode is dedicated to Annabel's close friend Ben, who was diagnosed with Combined ADHD on May 6th 2021.

Tess & Bel - Living With ADHD

Tess & Bel - Living With ADHD

In this first episode, Bel interviews Tess who was diagnosed with Combined ADHD on October 1st 2020. In this initial podcast, Tess discusses her diagnosis; her experiences of ADHD as a young person; and why she has opted not to use medication to treat her ADHD.

Note for listeners: This is Annabel's first ever podcast episode and also first time dabbling with editing software! Please excuse background noises and some variation in voice and volume! Bel now realises she was moving around rather a lot during recording - you can blame ADHD! Next time, Bel hopes to ensure sound levels are a little more consistent, so please bear with us as your support is really appreciated!
