I Never Forget Anything

I Never Forget Anything

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. This poem was inspired by my feelings on overthinking. Overthinking is terrible but the same thoughts that hurt me inspired me too. It is perhaps counter-intuitive. I hope you enjoy listening to this. Thanks.

Reciting one of my favourite poems by W.B Yeats 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree'

Reciting one of my favourite poems by W.B Yeats 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree'

This is one of my favourite poems. Any poem that creates visual imagery and transports us somewhere else is always a good thing to read on a gloomy day.

Siesta

Siesta

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. We all get overwhelmed by the world sometimes and it's those moments when we feel most weak because we know that we can't help anyone because we can't even help ourselves. Writing poetry helps me in those moments and I hope listening to this helps you or at least distracts you for a little bit. Enjoy!

Between Two Valleys

Between Two Valleys

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. This is for people who understand anxiety and paradoxical feelings that come with it. The normal things have always scared me and given me anxiety but the extraordinary experiences that should be scary only bring me joy and confidence, it's hard to explain because it's hard to understand. Once again the only way to make sense of it is to write about it, this is based on my experience of doing various terrifying adventure sports. Its something I have come to cherish and love. To those who are listening I hope you like it. Enjoy!

Sleepless Nights

Sleepless Nights

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. I'm sure everyone has felt this way, waiting for sleep to come and save us and spare us from more thoughts. Here's a short poem about insomnia and restless sleep.

A Lovely Drive

A Lovely Drive

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. Road trips are and have always been very special to me, sometimes just the feeling of movement is enough to get out of a place in your mind. Road trips feel like a respite but also a journey into the mind, the creative part of the mind, I have explored the most intriguing thoughts and gotten to explore the most beautiful music on road trips, just the feeling of movement is so refreshing.

Sea, Sun and Freedom

Sea, Sun and Freedom

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. At night or in the morning, in the middle of the day, basically whenever it doesn't matter, the reverie closest to my heart always involves the sea, the beach. There is no way I can ever get over the mysterious beauty of the sea. Next time you feel lost in life, take to the sea, in person or in your mind. The E.E. Cummings quote defines it the most " for whatever we lose(like a you or a me) it's always ourselves we find in the sea ."

The Photograph

The Photograph

Poem by Anshudha Garimella. This poem is about the feeling that everyone gets at some point in their lives, wondering they were born too late. Laying out a reverie of wishful thinking that is just as surreal as the past.

The Artists and the Rain

The Artists and the Rain

Poem by Anshudha Garimella , Does a truly great artist need to suffer and be perpetually unhappy to create great works? I don't actually believe that to be true but I always wonder about it. This poem is about that fear, about the enchantment and disenchantment with " the beautiful and the damned"

Sailboat

Sailboat

A poem by Anshudha Garimella. A poem about the ennui of knowing that there is a possibility of freedom always because there is great world waiting. It's just those thoughts that stop us from going for it. I always struggle with them. Sailboat is the vessel to sail away on a sea of great ideas and experiences.
