Today we discuss dyslexia within nursing with school teacher Sam Fitzpatrick. Dyslexia is something that 1 in 10 people in the UK suffer from. I personally didn't have the best experience when I was at school but that was 15 years ago so it'll be interesting to see how things have moved on.

Both me and Ruth are dyslexic so it certainly sparked up some really good discussions about our experiences with living with dyslexia.
We talk about going forward what can be done to support staff with dyslexia in the workforce and also raising more awareness within nursing.
Would love to hear any feedback on this.

The role of the Clinical Nurse Tutor
In todays episode I am joined by my former clinical nurse tutor Kerry Rae from Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. We discuss Kerry's role and what she does day to day with our student nurses and also extra responsibilities taken on during COVID.
I really enjoyed having Kerry on as a guest as she helped me so much as a student and I will never forget the kindness she showed me when I really needed it. Not only that but the belief she gave me that I could be anything I wanted once I was qualified.
I hope you all enjoy listening to this :)
