Is your time almost up??
We rarely think about it but we are all avoiding disaster and near death everyday.  At any moment, driving in your car, flying on a plane, walking across the street...at any time we could be taking our last step and breath. I'm going to get vulnerable with you today and share a story for the first time that only a few close friends and family know about. Its important because it keeps me focused on living my best life and reminds me most days how grateful I am to be here.  I know God has a special plan for me.  So that is why I am sharing this story.  He has a plan for you too. Is Danger a part of your routine? If not it should be
I was having a conversation with a new friend this week who is a former police officer.  He now teaches civilians self-defense, gun safety, and how to handle themselves in potentially DANGEROUS situations.   This got me thinking about my confidence level in myself if at any time a harmful situation were to escalate.  Am I confident that I could defend myself and my family if a someone was ever trying to harm us? Practice = Process = Progress = Permanent
Its inevitable! Some part of us, no matter how much we hate to admit or how much we try to convince ourselves otherwise-We all want to take the easy road.  The shortcut, the quick fix, the system hack, we want the results with as little resistance and comfortability as possible. When all we focus on are results and how amazing it will be to cross that finish line first, we end up attempting the shortcuts or try to hack our way through the system, we might actually get the results we want, but they then we don't appreciate them.   The finish line, the championship trophy, the grammy, the diploma, the dream car, the beach house, the millionaire status.  We all think that by getting these things we will be happy or satisfied.  But when we focus on the result and not the actions that get us there, once we achieve that ultimate goal, it doesn't have feel like we wanted it to.  At least not for very long.  Thats why the G.O.A.T.'s talk about how fell in love with the process. Why do we forget things more often than we remember them??
Do you ever feel like you are just overwhelmed with information?  We are privileged to have so much access to information in the palm of our hands today.  So much so that ignorance is almost a choice.   But this also means we have so much to process and never enough time.  With so much access to this info it can take a toll on our quality of life.  If we consume too much info or technology, just like what consuming too much food, it will have negative effects.  We live in an alway-on world. MOTION vs. ACTION
MOTION vs. ACTION It’s so easy to overwhelmed or lost trying to find the perfect plan for change. The quickest way to lose weight. The best plan to build muscle. The perfect idea for a side hustle. We are so caught up in creating the perfect plan or the best approach that we don’t actually take action. So what is the different between motion and action?? Motion is when you are planning and learning. These are definitely good things but they don’t produce the result. Action is a behavior that will deliver an outcome. Putting together an outline for a new webinar or researching a nutrition or workout plan is motion. These are definitely useful but they will never produce the result alone. It’s actually creating the webinar training or completing the workout/nutrition program is that gets you the result you are looking for. So if motion doesn’t get us results why do we do it? Sometimes it’s because we do actually need more knowledge and a better plan before taking action. But usually we stay in motion because it allows us to feel like we are making some progress with our actually risking failure. To avoid criticism. Because it doesn’t feel good to fail or to be judged. So how then do we get into action?? You need to practice instead of plan. If you want to master something you have to get your reps in. Start with repetition not perfection. Criticism is temporary and short lived. You can start small. 10 pushups. Pretty soon you will be at 100. Then 500. 1 blog post, then an eBook, then a best seller. Routine Doesn't Automatically Mean you are Boring

Motivation is overrated!! Your Environment matters more!
In this episode we cover the importance of having specific environments for each task.  If you have a designated area or object for a specific habit then you will more easily be able to keep that habit and routine.  So your office desk is for work only and not eating, your favorite chair is for reading and not watching TV, the dinning room table is for eating kids crafts and activities.  Having these boundaries will help you keep habits.  This is also important when developing new habits by creating a specific space that cues that habit. Avoiding stress around finances and developing your Abundant Money Mindset
