The hassle and razzle-dazzle of my career and my life as a self-partnered individual
My last episode on my consciously being a solo-polyamorist despite my family man desire.
Nurturing model: The mentor assumes a parental role to create an open, supportive environment where the learner can learn and try things themselves.
Friendship model: The mentor acts more as a peer "rather than being involved in a hierarchical relationship".
Apprenticeship model: The mentor and learner predominantly have a professional relationship.[30] Peer mentoring: Relationships that involve individuals in similar positions. One person may be more knowledgeable in a certain aspect or another, and they can help each other progress in their work. In most cases, peer relationships provide a lot of support, empathy, and advice because the situations are quite similar.
Situational mentoring: Short-term relationships in which a person mentors for a specific purpose. This could be a company bringing an expert in regarding social media, or internet safety. This expert can mentor employees to make them more knowledgeable about a specific topic or skill.
Supervisory mentoring: This relationship involves a mentor with a higher position than the learner. The mentor can answer many questions and advise the best course of action.[31]
Mentoring circles: Participants from all levels of the organization propose and own a topic before meeting in groups to discuss the topic, which motivates them to grow and become more knowledgeable. Flash mentoring is ideal for situations like job shadowing and reverse mentoring.
Flash mentoring: A short-term form of mentoring that focuses on single meetings rather than a traditional, long-term mentoring relationship.[32]” -Wikipedia.

If you see street harassment happening, there are a few ways you can potentially help if you feel safe enough to do so.
When in doubt, assume you should help. If you are not sure whether a situation is harassment or not, assume that it is and ask the person being harassed if they need help. You can say something like “Are you OK?” or “Are they bothering you?”
Step in. If you can, practice bystander intervention by calling out the harasser on what they just did and why it was not acceptable. You can say something like, “You just touched that man when he didn’t want you to. That’s not OK. Stop harassing people.”
Check in with the person being harassed. If you see harassment occur, consider asking the person who was harassed if they are OK and if they need any help.
Report. You can report that you witnessed harassment to public transportation officials, law enforcement, or the harasser’s employer.
You can also help to end street harassment and increase awareness around the issue in a couple different ways.
Never blame the victim. If someone tells you about street harassment they have experienced, the best thing you can do is to listen without judgement and tell them that they did not deserve what happened. You should never reduce their experiences by saying things like “this happened to you because you’re so beautiful,” or “maybe you shouldn’t have worn that dress today.”
Share your experiences. If you feel comfortable doing so, talk with people in your life about street harassment when it occurs. This can not only let others know that they are not alone in these experiences, but can help to raise awareness of the frequency of street harassment and its harmful effects among those who haven’t experienced it.
Call out your friends. If you witness your friend harassing someone on the street by cat-calling them, whistling, making a sexual comment, repeatedly asking for their information, etc., tell your friend to stop. Take time to explain to them why what they did was harassment and that it is wrong.

My work-life balance (I’m open to the family man life: my wife, my kids, my pet, and our house.)
Look at the following characteristics to determine what kinds of boundaries you have:
HEALTHY BOUNDARIES
You can say no or yes, and you are ok when others say no to you.
You have a strong sense of identity. You respect yourself.
You expect reciprocity in a relationship-you share responsibility and power.
You know when the problem is yours and when it belongs to someone else.
You share personal information gradually in a mutually sharing/trusting relationship.
You don’t tolerate abuse or disrespect.
You know your own wants, needs and feelings. You communicate them clearly in your relationships.
You are committed to and responsible for exploring and nurturing your full potential.
You are responsible for your own happiness and fulfillment. You allow others to be responsible for their own happiness and fulfillment.
You value your opinions and feelings as much as others.
You know your limits. You allow others to define their limits.
You are able to ask for help when you need it.
You don’t compromise your values or integrity to avoid rejection.
COLLAPSED BOUNDARIES
You can’t say no, because you are afraid of rejection or abandonment.
Your identity consists of what you think others want you to be. You are a chameleon.
You have no balance of power or responsibility in your relationships. You tend to be either overly responsible and controlling or passive and dependent.
You take on other’s problems as your own.
You share personal information too soon. . .before establishing mutual trust/sharing.
You have a high tolerance for abuse or being treated with disrespect.
Your wants needs and feelings are secondary to others’ and are sometimes determined by others.
You ignore your inner voice and allow others expectations to define your potential.
You feel responsible for other’s happiness and fulfillment and sometimes rely on your relationships to create that for you.
You tend to absorb the feelings of others.
You rely on others opinions, feelings and ideas more than you do your own.
You allow others to define your limits or try to define limits for others.
You compromise your values and beliefs in order to please others or to avoid conflict.
RIGID BOUNDARIES
You are likely to say no if the request involves close interaction.
You avoid intimacy (pick fights, stay too busy, etc.)
You fear abandonment OR engulfment, so you avoid closeness.
You rarely share personal information.
You have difficulty identifying wants, needs, feelings.
You have few or no close relationships. If you have a partner, you have very separate lives and virtually no shared social life.
You rarely ask for help.
You do not allow yourself to connect with other people and their problems.” Dr. Brian Grady.
Ambiamory (my Ambiamorous lovestyle)
An ambiamorous person may choose polyamory because:
They want to be with a person that has polyamorous relationships. Again, this is a very common reason and very straightforward. While someone who is strictly monogamous might consider it a large sacrifice to adapt to dating a polyamorous person, for an ambiamorous person this is typically not that big of a deal at all, especially if they, too, are able to pursue relationships with other people if they want.
They hit the love jackpot and found multiple people that they love and connect with on a deep level and who fit into their life beautifully and harmoniously.
They enjoy the close network of support and friendship that can form between metamours. Their relationship system often functions as a chosen family.
They place a high value upon allowing their partners to have the freedom to see other people, even in situations where they themselves may date less frequently than their partners (or even be functionally monogamous themselves, from time to time. -Kinkly.com
Heteroflexiblity and cisgenderflexibility
According to scientific consensus, sexual orientation is not a choice.[7][8][9] There is no consensus on the exact cause of developing a sexual orientation, but genetic, hormonal, social, and cultural influences have been examined.[9][10][11] Scientists believe that it is caused by a complex interplay of genetic, hormonal, and environmental influences.[7][9][11] Although no single theory on the cause of sexual orientation has yet gained widespread support, scientists favor biologically-based theories.[7][12] Research over several decades has demonstrated that sexual orientation can be at any point along a continuum, from exclusive attraction to the opposite sex to exclusive attraction to the same sex.[13]” -Wikipedia. “Genderfluidity is a non-fixed gender identity that shifts over time or depending on the situation. These fluctuations can occur at the level of gender identity or gender expression. A genderfluid person may fluctuate among different gender expressions over their lifetime, or express multiple aspects of various gender markers simultaneously.[1][2] Genderfluid individuals may identify as non-binary or transgender, or cisgender, which means they identify with the gender associated with their sex assigned at birth.[3][4] Genderfluidity is different from gender-questioning, a process in which people explore their gender in order to find their true gender identity and adjust their gender expression accordingly.[5] Genderfluidity continues throughout lives of genderfluid people.[6]” -Wikipedia.
My types of advocacy and my styles of activism that I am called to do.
Question the way policy is administered
Participate in the agenda-setting as they raise significant issues
Target political systems "because those systems are not responding to people's needs"
Are inclusive and engaging
Propose policy solutions
Open up space for public argumentation
Other forms of advocacy include:
Budget advocacy: another aspect of advocacy that ensures proactive engagement of Civil Society Organizations with the government budget to make the government more accountable to the people and promote transparency. Budget advocacy also enables citizens and social action groups to compel the government to be more alert to the needs and aspirations of people in general and the deprived sections of the community.
Bureaucratic advocacy: people considered "experts" have more chance to succeed at presenting their issues to decision-makers. They use bureaucratic advocacy to influence the agenda, although at a slower pace.
Express versus issue advocacy: These two types of advocacy when grouped together usually refers to a debate in the United States whether a group is expressly making their desire known that voters should cast ballots in a particular way, or whether a group has a long-term issue that isn't campaign and election season specific.
Health, environment and climate change negotiations advocacy: supports and promotes patients' health care rights as well as enhance community health and policy initiatives that focus on the availability, safety and quality of care.
Ideological advocacy: in this approach, groups fight, sometimes during protests, to advance their ideas in the decision-making circles.
Interest-group advocacy: lobbying is the main tool used by interest groups doing mass advocacy. It is a form of action that does not always succeed at influencing political decision-makers as it requires resources and organization to be effective.
Legislative advocacy: the "reliance on the state or federal legislative process" as part of a strategy to create change.[5]
Mass advocacy: any type of action taken by large groups (petitions, demonstrations, etc.)
Media advocacy: "the strategic use of the mass media as a resource to advance a social or public policy initiative" (Jernigan and Wright, 1996). In Canada, for example, the Manitoba Public Insurance campaigns illustrate how media advocacy was used to fight alcohol and tobacco-related health issues. We can also consider the role of health advocacy and the media in "the enactment of municipal smoking bylaws in Canada between 1970 and 1995." [6]
Special education advocacy: advocacy with a "specific focus on the educational rights of students with disabilities."
Different contexts in which advocacy is used:
In a legal/law context: An "advocate" is the title of a specific person who is authorized/appointed in some way to speak on behalf of a person in a legal process.
In a political context: An "advocacy group" is an organized collection of people who seek to influence political decisions and policy, without seeking election to public office.
In a social care context: Both terms (and more specific ones such as "independent advocacy") are used in the UK in the context of a network of interconnected organisations and projects which seek to benefit people who are in difficulty (primarily in the context of disability and mental health).
In the context of inclusion: Citizen Advocacy organisations (or programmes) seek to cause benefit by reconnecting people who have become isolated. Their practice was defined in two key documents: CAPE, and Learning from Citizen Advocacy Programs.” -Wikipedia.

The types of slavery & trafficking I endured in my boyhood & my constructive criticism of religion.
Many historical cases of enslavement occurred as a result of breaking the law, becoming indebted, suffering a military defeat, or exploitation for cheaper labor; other forms of slavery were instituted along demographic lines such as race or sex. Slaves may be kept in bondage for life, or for a fixed period of time after which they would be granted freedom.[2] Although slavery is usually involuntary and involves coercion, there are also cases where people voluntarily enter into slavery to pay a debt or earn money due to poverty. In the course of human history, slavery was a typical feature of civilization,[3] and was legal in most societies, but it is now outlawed in most countries of the world, except as a punishment for a crime.[4][5]
In chattel slavery, the slave is legally rendered the personal property (chattel) of the slave owner. In economics, the term de facto slavery describes the conditions of unfree labour and forced labour that most slaves endure.[6]” -Wikipedia. “Smuggling is the illegal transportation of objects, substances, information or people, such as out of a house or buildings, into a prison, or across an international border, in violation of applicable laws or other regulations. More broadly, social scientists define smuggling as the purposeful movement across a border in contravention to the relevant legal frameworks.[2] There are various motivations to smuggle. These include the participation in illegal trade, such as in the drug trade, illegal weapons trade, prostitution, human trafficking, kidnapping, exotic wildlife trade, art theft, blood diamonds, heists, chop shops, illegal immigration or illegal emigration, tax evasion, import restrictions, export restrictions, providing contraband to prison inmates, or the theft of the items being smuggled.” -Wikipedia. “I endured witnessing all of the above in my childhood.” -Antonio Myers.

I am thriving in healing the religion experience of my life.
What is Religious Trauma Syndrome? Religious Trauma Syndrome (RTS) is a term used to describe the negative mental health effects of unhealthy or harmful religious experiences. It is a form of psychological trauma that can result from the harmful effects of religious indoctrination, abuse, or manipulation. RTS can occur when an individual struggles with leaving a religion or a set of beliefs that has led to their indoctrination. It often involves the trauma of breaking away from a controlling environment, lifestyle, or religious figure.
RTS can have a significant impact on an individual’s mental and emotional well-being. The symptoms of RTS can be similar to those of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and can include anxiety, depression, panic attacks, flashbacks, and nightmares. Individuals with RTS may also experience feelings of guilt, shame, and worthlessness.
The mental health profession is becoming increasingly aware of the impact of religious trauma, and more therapists are trained to recognize and treat RTS. It is essential to seek help from a qualified mental health professional if you are experiencing symptoms of RTS. Therapy can help you process your experiences, develop coping skills, and work towards healing and recovery.
If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of RTS, it is crucial to remember that you are not alone. Many individuals have experienced religious trauma and have found healing and recovery through therapy and support groups. With the right help and support, it is possible to overcome the negative effects of religious trauma and live a fulfilling life.” -https://www.sabinorecovery.com/what-is-religious-trauma-syndrome/#:~:text=RTS%20can%20occur%20when%20an,%2C%20lifestyle%2C%20or%20religious%20figure.
I am a secular values voter who embraces religious pluralism.
Individuals have the legal rights and de facto freedoms to worship, believe, practice, and join in community with others according to their conscience. Individuals are also able to abstain from these activities. In the U.S., these rights and freedoms are guaranteed by the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses of the First Amendment;
Individuals and communities protect their own and others’ rights and freedoms to worship, believe, practice, and join in community with others, or not, according to their conscience;
Individuals and communities protect each others’ safety to worship; and
Communities engage with each other, acknowledging areas of deep and irreconcilable difference, but focused on areas of common ground.
And finally, since religious pluralism does not happen without sustained and diverse religious communities:
Diverse religious communities themselves thrive, meaning leadership is good, community institutions are sustainable, community ties remain strong, and congregants know the basic theological content of their own traditions.
What is religious pluralism NOT?
Religious pluralism is not:
The simple fact of religious diversity in a society
A synchronistic mix of religious beliefs that pares down theological ideas to the lowest common denominator
Religious belief being prioritized over non-belief.” -Aspen Institute. “Who Are Secular Voters?
Religiously unaffiliated (“nonreligious”) Americans are the largest and fastest growing religious demographic in the country. While the nonreligious are a diverse group who span the political spectrum, these Americans are united on key political issues.
According to the 2015 Pew Religious Landscape Survey, the nonreligious overwhelmingly support legal access to abortion (73%) and same-sex marriage (78%) compared to evangelicals who oppose those same policies by smaller margins (63% and 64%, respectively).
Similarly, a 2016 Public Religion Research Institute poll found that 71% of the nonreligious oppose religiously-based service refusals compared to only 56% of evangelicals who support that same policy.
Despite recent trends, secular voters continue to be severely underrepresented in government. According to an analysis by the Pew Research Center, while the nonreligious comprise nearly one-quarter of all Americans, they comprise only just 0.2% of the 115th Congress. That means there are 100 times as many religiously unaffiliated Americans as there are religiously unaffiliated Members of Congress. We are determined to change that by mobilizing a voting bloc united by shared secular values and investing in strategic programs that empower secular values voters to be active, influential players in the electoral process.” -Secular Coalition of America.

As a Professional Cuddler, I:
Before sessions I will make clear to the client any fees that I will charge for my service. I will ensure that all interpersonal transactions between the client and myself are non-exploitative and directly relevant to their care.
I will refrain from selling any product or other service to the client during sessions.
Ensure that clients understand the platonic nature of the service before working with them.
Agree not to pursue sexual arousal, or sexual interaction with my cuddler within or outside of sessions.
If you would like to develop a sexual relationship with a client, all professional cuddling interaction must stop. Best practice is to maintain a set period of no contact before beginning such a relationship.
Model the communication of personal boundaries and what I find comfortable throughout each session.
Refrain from any use of any substance that would prevent me from being fully present and mindful during a session.

My lengthy history of protecting women and protecting sex workers
“We have chosen to advocate for the decriminalization of all aspects of consensual adult sex - sex work that does not involve coercion, exploitation or abuse. This is based on evidence and the real-life experience of sex workers themselves that criminalization makes them less safe.” – Amnesty International
Sex Worker Rights Defined
Sex workers are entitled to live free of discrimination, stigma, and violence. As all people, their rights to life, health, privacy, and bodily autonomy should not be infringed upon. Sex worker rights have generally focused on decriminalizing sex work as a tool to ensure fair treatment.
Human Rights Framework
Human rights are inalienable rights, which all people are entitled to by virtue of their status as human beings. Various international human rights principles and legal instruments have been generated through the United Nations in order to put forth state obligations to protect and honor those rights. Although the
United States has not signed and ratified most of the international human rights treaties, advocates have called for the application of a human rights framework domestically.
Importance
Folks engaged in the sex trade are faced with pervasive violence, stigma, and discrimination, which consequently limit the ways in which many sex workers navigate the world. Recognizing the rights of sex workers as human rights not only affirms the dignity and humanity of sex workers as indeed, workers but also recognizes them as human beings and rights holders beyond the context of their work. Folks in the sex trade have needs and desires outside of their occupation that we must also center and support.
The systemic oppression many sex workers encounter, and very often without legal recourse, is compounded for racial and sexual minorities, folks with histories of drug use and criminal system involvement, persons living with HIV, people from immigrant backgrounds, etc. Criminalization exacerbates marginalization and work- related safety and health hazards. Creating pathways for folks in the sex trade to assert their rights through the decriminalization of sex work can improve life outcomes and center their voices.
Applying the Framework
A rights based approach is an evidence-based approach. Research has shown that supporting sex worker rights is the best way to promote safety and health and shift law enforcement resources towards violent crime.
HIPS recognizes the agency and individual power of the populations we serve. To provide compassionate harm reduction services and advocacy, we aspire to be non-judgmental and non-coercive. We recognize that there are a variety of reasons why folks engage in the sex trade. We also recognize the harms associated with sex work due to its criminalization—laws have the power to constrain a person’s ability to survive and thrive safely.
Advancing the human rights of our clients requires us to challenge laws that criminalize their livelihoods while simultaneously challenging the lack of resources made available to sex workers and advocates. Review our Sex Work Policies document for more information about local laws and policies in the District of Columbia we can change to better support folks in the sex trade.
In July 2015, Amnesty International announced, that following two years of research and consultations, it would be voting to develop a policy respecting the human rights of sex workers by advocating for the decriminalization of sex work globally.
HIPS stands in solidarity with the push for decriminalization, in recognition of the rights of sex workers and the role of decriminalization in securing those rights.
HIPS is a harm reduction service provider and advocacy organization providing support to persons impacted by sexual exchange and/or drug use in the District of Columbia. For more information about HIPS, visit www.hips.org.” -https://www.hips.org/uploads/6/2/2/9/62290383/hips_statement_swrights.pdf

Faith is a gray area for me as the gray area thinker that I am.
Many existentialists considered traditional systematic or academic philosophies, in style and content, to be too abstract and removed from concrete human experience.[6][7] A primary virtue in existentialist thought is authenticity.[8] Existentialism would influence many disciplines outside of philosophy, including theology, drama, art, literature, and psychology.[9]
Existentialist philosophy encompasses a range of perspectives, but it shares certain underlying concepts. Among these, a central tenet of existentialism is that personal freedom, individual responsibility, and deliberate choice are essential to the pursuit of self-discovery and the determination of life's meaning.[10]” -Wikipedia.

I can’t do the 24/7 family man life and the 24/7 assisting the needy life simultaneously. I am a confirmed bachelor, I do self-parenting, I am my own roommate, and I am my own janitor (without a pet.)
“I choose the twenty-four hours, seven days a week, round-the clock assistance of the needy, which means I do solo living (forgoing marriage, forgoing children, forgoing pet-owning, and forgoing the roommate lifestyle of the daily basis nature.) Forgoing simply means no. Confirmed bachelor means never marrying, Self-parenting means I don't reproduce (not ever making a baby and not ever making babies), Being my own roommate means I choose to live physically by myself, and being my own janitor means that I'm not taming a creature of my own. I enjoy the healthy interruptions to my schedule because I see them as the reason for my callings and my purposes.” -Antonio Myers.
I am open to the family man life because I am called to relationships, families, and romance.

Formal equality: equal opportunity for individuals based on merit.
Substantive equality: equality of outcomes for groups, also called social equity.” -Wikipedia. “Social equity is concerned with justice and fairness of social policy. Since the 1960s, the concept of social equity has been used in a variety of institutional contexts, including education and public administration. Equity within a society is different from social equality because it takes into account the individual differences that people may have when seeking an equal outcome. Equity describes equal outcomes for groups, also called substantive equality.[1] For example, person A may have no difficulty walking, person B may be able to walk but with some difficulty, whilst person C may be unable to walk at all. Equality would be providing each of those three people with the same opportunities or aids. Per our example, if persons A, B, and C receive a wheelchair, this is a form of equality. Equity, on the other hand, would look different from equality because it would instead cater to each individual's differing needs. For the same example, person A may not receive any aids, person B may receive a walking stick, whilst person C may receive an electric wheelchair.” -Wikipedia.

“I am not a tormentor foe of houses of worship, I am a true friend of houses of worship. I recognize that I must be prophetic in the four walls and more than four walls. Prophetic means orderliness instituted for those who face institutional discrimination such as I.” -Antonio Myers.
"Social justice is justice in relation to a fair balance in the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society where individuals' rights are recognized and protected.[1] In Western and Asian cultures, the concept of social justice has often referred to the process of ensuring that individuals fulfill their societal roles and receive their due from society.[2][3][4] In the current movements for social justice, the emphasis has been on the breaking of barriers for social mobility, the creation of safety nets, and economic justice.[5][6][7][8][9]. Social justice assigns rights and duties in the institutions of society, which enables people to receive the basic benefits and burdens of cooperation. The relevant institutions often include taxation, social insurance, public health, public school, public services, labor law and regulation of markets, to ensure distribution of wealth, and equal opportunity.[10]" -Wikipedia.
My guest Sandy Phillips Kirkham and I discussed The Tragedy of Clergy Abuse, The Contamination of the Church, The Understanding of the Difficulty of Speaking Out, and The Journey of Healing.
Sandy Phillips Kirkham details her account of how a charismatic youth minister preyed upon her, a betrayal which left her broken, with a shattered faith, and the ultimate shame of being blamed and forced from the church she loved. From their very first meeting, the new youth minister slowly and methodically turned the sacred relationship of a trusted spiritual leader to one of abuse: sexual, emotional, and physical. When his actions were discovered, he was simply moved to another church, leaving Sandy to pay for his deeds. She was not his first victim, nor would she be his last.
Despite a successful and happy life as a wife, mother, and friend, Sandy successfully concealed her abuse for twenty-seven years until a trigger forced her to face the truth. Sandy’s story will take you on her journey of healing which began in 2004, first by seeking justice and closure from both the pastor and the church. Her strength and courage will inspire you. My final episode on intimacy professionalism and sex surrogacy
Surrogate partner therapy can include mutual nudity and two-way touch, as well as manual, oral sex or sexual intercourse. While other forms of sexual help – like experiential sex coaching or therapy can be accessed directly – surrogate partner therapy can only be accessed through a recommendation and ongoing work with a licensed psychotherapist. The therapist, client, and surrogate are thought of as a three-person therapeutic team. The function of the sex surrogate is to engage with the client in exercises to help them become more comfortable and adept at sexual and emotional intimacy.
Who Should See a Sex Surrogate?
A sex surrogate or surrogate partner therapy is often recommended by a therapist to clients who have a very high level of sexual dysfunction or interpersonal inhibition. These clients need to practice with a partner in a more structured environment to help them overcome their sexual challenges. These challenges might include sexual dysfunctions such as erectile dysfunction, pain during penetration, early ejaculation, or inability to orgasm. Surrogate partner therapy can also help if you are highly anxious sexually, have disabilities that make it more challenging to have sex, or have little or no experience with sex.
What is Sexual Surrogate Therapy?
In the initial consultation, you and your surrogate will get to know one another, begin to build rapport and make sure that surrogate partner therapy is right for you. After that, a step-by-step process begins where you and the sex surrogate communicate through each progressive step of intimacy and touch. One main tool of surrogacy is sensate focus, initially developed by Masters and Johnson. Sensate focus is meant to enhance relaxation, lower anxiety, and help you stay in touch with your sensations and arousal. Sex surrogates also help you process emotions around issues with sex and intimacy.
As you move through the phases of the therapy, you may practice back-and-forth touch. Your surrogate starts with the hands, then you might move to the face or other parts of the clothed body. In ongoing sessions, your sex surrogate will take time to educate you about sexual comfort, relaxation, touch, and best practices. You will slowly remove more clothing, learning to give and receive touch on all the different parts of your own and your surrogate’s body. Any oral sex or intercourse you have with your practitioner will be guided by safer sex practices.” -https://www.sexcoaching.com/types-of-therapy/what-is-a-sex-surrogate/
