Growing Up Gay
On todays episode of "Nana Tingz", I (@AntonioILiranzo) wanted to dive into the conversation of growing up gay. I read Alan Down's book "The Velvet Rage" (Available Here), were his discusses the 3 stages of shedding our shame of being gay. I wanted to create a safe space for us to talk about our shared trauma. Alans book brought up so many important topics such as addiction, failed relationships, being afraid of being alone and sexual experiences. Growing up in an era were idols and media showed mainly heterosexual couples, it is hard to understand our sexuality, especially when bullies know before we do and they are using the term "gay" and other words to torment us, we dont even know we are gay ourselves. The discovery of our sexuality can be weird and overwhelming, but we all share this gay trauma. Dm me if you would like to talk about this experience. Grab some water, tea or champagne and enjoy the ride✨ .

The book that really helped me face my childhood trauma with my mom was "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Heal from Distant, Rejecting, or Self-Involved Parent" by Lindsay Gibson. Hello Thirties
So my Saturn Return has come to an end and Saturn is now chilling in the same spot that it was, when I was born ❤. For people that dont know what Saturns Return is, here is a little explanation. Saturn takes about 29.5 years to orbit around the sun, meaning that when we are around 28–30 we start feeling changes from childhood into full blown adulthood. This can be anything from a new home, a career change, a break up or a new relationship etc. We start seeing what we need and what we feel is right for us! So here are some things that I have learned and am excited to bring into my 30s ❤.
- Vulnerability is sexy! It is so hot to have your heart on your sleeve, GOOD GUYS FINISH FIRST!
- Be aware of people that make you happy and that dont!
- Know your triggers! I now know what triggers my anxiety! Low intensity and high vibrations baby!
- Fashion Choices! They are choices lmao.
- No sugary drinks! I am over these hangovers lmao.
- Know your worth! Go for what you want!
- Manifestation! You are in charge of your future! (Ask, Believe, Receive).
- I am ready to date and I am now aware on how I want to love and be loved.
- Take your time! Things should not be rushed. If the timing is right, it is right.
- Know your drug and alcohol use. Certain things trigger others.
- Own Your Narrative, Own Your Truth & You Are Not Going To Please Everyone!

Taking Back My Narrative
On todays episode of "Nana Tingz", I (@AntonioILiranzo) wanted to start another series called "Owning Our Narrative", where I discuss topics that involve trauma, trauma bonding and emotional immature parents/people in our lives. I have been facing my own trauma from childhood and wanted to share my story so I can help others. All I want to say is, it is beautiful to be 29 and be able to have a new life form, from realizing that it was never me it was my mom. The biggest advice I can give anyone that was raised with traumatizing emotionally immature parents, know that, it wasn't your fault
