Rule # 3! The simultaneously loved and dreaded Carbs! In this episode you will learn the proper amount to have in your cat's diet and why, as well as what sources Carbohydrate should come from, and what to avoid! Lots to learn, so little time! Let's get crackin 😼
In this lesson, I break down Rule # Two of How to Feed Your Cat into three components, and explain how each component comes together to create this rule, outlining the importance of each one as I go. This includes the reason why you should only used identified animal sources in your cat's diet, why you should ensure the protein is coming from those animals and not plant-based protein boosters, and why it's highly unlikely you are going to "overdo" the amount of protein in your cat's diet.
With so many sources of conflicting, misleading (and let's face it, bad) advice out there on what the best food is, it's no wonder we as pet owners get overwhelmed, confused, or frustrated when trying to determine what to feed our cats. I'm going to make it simple. In this episode, I will provide you with five, universally applicable, simple rules to follow when choosing a diet for your cat. These rules are based not only on personal and professional experience with animal nutrition, but on years of studies and research, confirming what many of us possibly suspected all along. In this five part lesson, I will go over the rules, and then begin delving into them, one by one, starting with the first, and most important nutrition rule for cats!
My second Minisode! I did go a bit over ten minutes here, with my intro and recap, but I did try to keep it pretty short while not missing anything important. So this Minisode is just under 12 minutes, and I wrap up my bunny nutrition lessons with some additional guidance on bunny care, a little dive into the bunny's digestive system, and the reasons to avoid an overweight bun-bun 🐇
And what does it mean when my pet food is AAFCO approved? I'll go over this and more in great detail, launching into one of my most in-depth podcasts yet. Don't skip this one - it's not as simple or as boring as it may sound! Regulations and legislation can make our eyes glaze over sometimes, but my mission is to keep you in the know about all things related to pet nutrition so you can be a Wizard! And this is a huge factor in whether your pet food is safe and complete. Please reach out for any additional questions at my Facebook page! :)
In this in-depth episode on CBD and how it works I give a shout out to a listener in Australia, explain what CBD does and why it's safe and effective, as well as which ones you should stay away from, and which ones I trust. At the time of recording this episode I make a recommendation for Pet Releaf, Petabis, and Charlotte's Web. I also explain when you CBD Oil is a good idea, and when it's not, as well as the benefits of a Liposomal Oil. If you already feel confident about CBD Oil, you might still enjoy this episode and learn something new! Do you know what Terpenes are? How about hemp's relation to Chernobyl? Do you want to hear me stumble over the word 'endocannabinoid'? Then you've come to the right place.
My first Minisode! These are going to be small episodes no more than ten minutes or so, where I talk about small pet nutrition! Today's topic, bunnies! What do they really eat? And will the answer surprise you?
In today's lesson (Part Two of your fourth lesson), I will talk with you about Meat meals, by-products, low and high glycemic carbs, and ingredient splitting. If additional questions arise from any of my episodes, please always feel free to message me from my Facebook page, Facebook.com/animalnutritionwizard. Lastly, but not leastly, I apologize for both the belatedness, and the messiness of audio on this episode. I plan to use better recording equipment in the near future to provide you a smoother journey on your way to becoming a wizard, and to provide these lessons a little more often!
In Part One of your fourth lesson, I begin to dig into some of the basics on reading pet food labels. This episode includes information on where to start, AAFCO guidelines for product names and ingredient rules, special needs for large breed puppies and what to look for, and how to tell if your food is actually a meaty diet.
It's the dog's turn! Discover (perhaps) interesting information about your pooches heritage, and how it affects their behavior and nutritional needs! Please find link to my sources for this episode at Facebook.com/AnimalNutritionWizard ☺️
In this episode I shall teach my wizarding apprentices the ancestry of their domestic housecat, and how it pertains to their nutritional needs. Please find the sources & citations for this episode on the corresponding post on my Facebook page; Facebook.com/AnimalNutritionWizard!
Who the heck is Tryniti? Why is she making this podcast? And why should I listen to her? I am so glad you asked! In this introductory first episode, I explain myself a bit, and say hello in my typical geeky fashion! Thank you so much for coming to check out my podcast - there is so much good info to come, so I really hope you come back around and maybe even share it with someone who could benefit from what I have to say 💗
