Telling the stories that the media ignores! A podcast hosted by Ann McElhinney & Phelim McAleer, the conservative filmmakers behind the Gosnell movie, Fracknation, The Harvey Weinstein Trial: Unfiltered, and FBI Lovebirds. Project of the Unreported Story Society 501c(3).
We’re excited to be joined this week by writer Lionel Shriver, author of the incredible book We Need to Talk about Kevin. Lionel discusses her background and how she came to question many foundational liberal philosophies when she was a young adult. She's been a vocal advocate in the UK against the lockdowns and she cues us in on how the media has completely overblown this crisis. And as riots, looting, and protests spread throughout America, Shriver explains her experience with identity politics. Shriver's insight into the controversial topics of race and diversity are absolutely hated by the left and the establishment. You'll love the way she thinks!
Robert Bryce returns to the podcast this week for a second time. He joined us at the very beginning of the pandemic lockdown and now we’re hoping his appearance means the lockdown is at an end. The media isn’t talking about it anymore anyway! Perhaps what they should be talking about is Robert’s new documentary Juice: How Electricity Explains the World. It is now available to stream online, so if you’re still stuck at home and looking for something to watch, we highly recommend it! Robert discusses the importance of - and dangers to - electricity grids around the world as well as a unique phenomenon called “electricity theft.” You won’t want to miss it.
We also want to thank you all again for tuning in each week and leaving so many wonderful reviews of the show on Apple Podcasts. Keep it up! We read and treasure each and every one.
It's been several days of endless protests, rioting, and looting in Los Angeles. Thousands of looters and rioters have taken advantage of the Black Lives Matter protests in most major cities in the United States. On today's episode we discuss the affect of looting on the virus in Los Angeles. Testing centers are being closed across the city or they are implementing new hours. Were these testing centers needed to begin with? Is this an excuse to close them?
We also discuss breaking news from the Associated Press. The AP has obtained recordings from the WHO that show that China withheld important information about the coronavirus. We discuss what that may mean for the United States and our deteriorating relationship with the WHO and China.
Finally - the New York Times is at it again contorting the coronavirus death tolls. We set the record straight on their latest mistruths using our favorite tool - the Worldometer!

If you've ever seen "The Purge" and you happen to live in Los Angeles at the moment, you might be seeing some eerily familiar scenes. Riots broke out throughout the city this weekend and have destroyed hundreds of small and large businesses throughout the city. Yesterday Phelim took to the streets in Santa Monica and Venice to report on the looting that has been spreading throughout the city.
We also talk about a second "purge" in Los Angeles and that is the massive amount of taxpayers who are now fleeing the city. With the draconian COVID lockdowns, the skyrocketing crime, the growing homeless population - Hollywood is about to see a deep decline in taxpayers.
We also examine more of the hypocrisy of the protests. Why is it that protesting was considered a radical danger to public health just a week ago? What happened to the cries that protesting would lead to massive spikes of COVID-19?
We discuss this and more on today's episode. Enjoy!
Happy Friday! We hope you have some wonderful weekend plans ahead of you and that your state is transitioning quickly out of lockdown. On today's episode we talk about the horrific riots happening around the country. The mainstream media is trying to downplay the riots that are destroying small businesses and burning down buildings across Minneapolis. We explain the laughable language they use to describe one of the most violent riots in recent history.
We also discuss an article from the Irish Times that downplays the lockdown's effect on small businesses across Ireland. New travel restrictions that require visitors to quarantine will all but kill tourism in Ireland. The media seems to think these restrictions won't REALLY affect anyone - it's another example of the media's complete misunderstanding of basic economics.
Also on today's episode we discuss Dr. Anthony Fauci's ever-changing views on masks and the rising opioid afflictions in Ohio.

It's been MONTHS of lockdowns all across America and as most states slowly reopen, the governors who are keeping their states on lockdown are showing their hypocrisy. Two of the most controversial governors in the country have been caught breaking their own rules. You have to hear these hilarious lockdown hypocrisy stories about pro-lockdown politicians across the world. It shows that even the most "woke" among us don't believe the seriousness of these irrelevant rules.
Also on today's episode we discuss the media's constant fear mongering and their hope for the worst possible outcomes. The coronavirus death toll has reportedly hit 100,000 and the media continues to push their scare tactics despite declining numbers across the country. Not only are they blaming President Trump for these deaths, they're also blaming him for the economic decline from the lockdowns. The same lockdowns they were cheering for just weeks ago.
Lastly, we take a look at some of the city workers who are benefiting in the time of lockdowns and economic turmoil. The City of Los Angeles will face a massive budget deficit this year and yet they're going to give some city workers a massive raise.

We’re back with another exciting episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop after nearly two and a half months in lockdown. Today we’re joined by Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch to talk about the Obamagate scandal and voter fraud!
You may recall that the Imperial College COVID-19 Model resulted in dramatic lockdown measures all around the world, including in the United States. Now we know that the model was deeply flawed. Is it time to stop relying on models at all?
Tom Fitton, the President of Judicial Watch joins us this week to discuss his organization’s noble efforts to uncover government corruption. Tom explains the latest on “Obamagate” and the corruption within President Obama’s FBI and its attempts to stop President Trump’s election. It is absolutely absurd that the former president used a federal agency to spy on his political opponents!
Judicial Watch is currently working with The Daily Caller to obtain records of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s correspondence with the World Health Organization. What did these officials think about COVID-19 during the early days of the pandemic? How much of the American response to the pandemic was based upon false or misleading information from the Chinese?
Lastly, Tom explains Judicial Watch’s efforts to uncover and stop voter fraud across the country. With the left working quickly to pass massive mail-in voting laws across the country, Judicial Watch is exposing how insecure mail-in ballots truly are.
Many of you have contacted us over the last several weeks saying that you’ve missed our weekly recipes. This week, we delivered! Tune in to the podcast on YouTube to see us in our backyard making Ann’s “pandemic cocktail” of choice. We also want to thank you all again for tuning in each week and leaving so many wonderful reviews of the show on Apple Podcasts. Keep it up! We read and treasure each and every one.
We hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! We were finally able to have a lovely dinner in a restaurant for the first time in many months. We share with you the new ways restaurants in California are working to adhere to Gavin Newsom's new guidelines.
On today's episode we also take a look at a very interesting story of an author who passed away of COVID-19. It turns out this notable author was living a complete lie and that his lavish lifestyle as a writer was founded on a completely false identity. You've got to hear this bizarre story.
As you likely know by now, the lockdowns are doing much more harm than good and in many parts of America suicide rates are skyrocketing as leftist governments refuse to open. We take a look at the data and some of the shocking stories throughout the county.
And FINALLY Joe Biden has emerged from his home this Memorial Day weekend. We examine Joe's first public appearance in months and discuss what this may mean for his campaign.
Thanks for tuning in. Make sure you keep an eye out for tomorrow's episode where we will be joined by Tom Fitton!
Happy Friday! We hope you have all sorts of fun civil disobedience planned for your Memorial Day weekend. On today's episode we discuss President Trump's statement that if we see a second wave in COVID-19 cases/deaths that we will not shutdown the country. Does President Trump have this power? We discuss.
Senator Kamala Harris has a "brave" and "bold" new proposal that is a colossal waste of time as her state sees record high unemployment, business closures, and poverty. Reality is more ridiculous than the Onion.
New reports are saying that the virus is actually fading in London. We discuss why the mainstream media likely won't cover this important update that will set the stage for the U.K.'s reopening of its most populated city.
Finally, we discuss one of the most controversial topics of the coronavirus. It has been pointed out by a listener that we **may** be pronouncing Worldometer wrong. We discuss why we think we are still right ;)
Have a great weekend!
On today's episode we set the record straight on the media's most recent lies about the virus. We start with their latest doomsday articles about Brazil. If you believed the media's narrative, you'd think that Brazil has one of the highest death rates per million in the world. In reality, Brazil has one of the lower death rates for a country of their massive size. In fact, they are 27th on the global deaths per million toll. We discuss why the media wants you to believe differently.
We also revisit Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer today. Michigan made headlines yesterday because according to a tweet by President Trump, Michigan's Secretary of State took the liberty of sending everyone in the state absentee ballot applications that could appear to be encouraging all Michiganders to vote by mail. We discuss Trump's allegations of potential voter fraud and how mail in ballots are the most susceptible for fraud.
Finally, we examine the TRUE timeline about the virus. Outlets like the New York Times and CNN want you to believe that it's Trump who has "blood on his hands" from the death toll but the truth is Governors like Andrew Cuomo were downplaying the virus for weeks.
Today we are joined by Irish journalist John Waters who went toe to toe with the Irish government to overturn the country’s stringent lockdown.
First up this week, we couldn’t resist discussing the incredible piece in The New York Times about Ronan Farrow’s misguided reporting style. You may remember Farrow from his groundbreaking investigative work into the Harvey Weinstein scandal that helped to launch the #MeToo movement. He has largely been commended as a hero by the mainstream media and the left. At least until this Times piece from Ben Smith. You won’t want to miss it.
Then, we catch up with John Waters, who discussed his experiences in Ireland during the course of this pandemic. John recently took legal action against the Irish lockdown measures and fills us in on all of the details. You might be surprised if you thought the United States was the only nation abridging freedoms during this pandemic. In Ireland, some of the lockdown measures are just as draconian and just as ridiculous. We also discuss some potentially positive reactions to these insane measures, both in Ireland and the United States. Will more people finally speak out against media malpractice and big government solutions - both of which we’ve seen increase during this pandemic? Let’s hope so.
A battle appears to be brewing in the White House between Dr. Deborah Birx and the CDC. Birx claims that she can't trust the CDC's death toll numbers which is not surprising since the numbers have come under much scrutiny and Democratic Governor Jared Polis recently reduced Colorado's death toll. How inflated are the numbers? Birx thinks they could be inflated by as much as 25%.
On today's episode we also talk about Senator Ben Sasse's lighthearted commencement speech that was lambasted in the media for absolutely no reason other than that he was a Republican. Sasse took a fun but informative approach to the speech and the media attacked him for a slew of nonsensical reasons. The Senator from Nebraska tried to bring a little levity to thousands of young people who are entering one of the worst economies in history and the media couldn't help themselves.
Also on today's episode we discuss the UN's misplaced priorities. Instead of working to update people on the coronavirus or public health, they've taken to Twitter to create a gender neutral language guide. Good grief!
On today's episode of the Virus we discuss the media's continued attempts to make Governor Andrew Cuomo (aka Governor Hot Spot) the hero of the coronavirus story. That could not be further from the truth. Governor Hot Spot is under much scrutiny for how his executive orders may have led to the deaths of hundreds (if not thousands) of nursing home patients in New York. Now he's trying to turn the tables and the media is helping him.
We also discuss Obama's viral commencement speech that attacked President Trump's handling of the coronavirus. The media flocked to cover the event all while many mainstream outlets nearly ignore the Obamagate scandal and brush it off as a conspiracy.
Today we also coin a new term . . . "welfare capitalists." These are the hundreds of thousands of Americans on unemployment who don't want to return to work because they are making more money sitting at home. Can you blame them? We discuss how this affects our economy, business owners, and the future of reopening.
Lastly, we talk about how "nativism" has returned and the left are pioneering it! Activists in states and countries across the world are discouraging tourism and working to keep nonresidents out of their communities.

In today's episode we revisit the Los Angeles County mask requirements and the little tyrants who have put them in place. It's been about day since the mask requirement was put in place and so far - people appear to be silently protesting. Even at the beach where masks are mandatory for all beachgoers many have chosen not to wear one.
Also on today's episode we take a look at the background of Dr. Barbara Ferrer. Dr. Ferrer is the LA County Public Health Director who has faced criticism for her stringent lockdown orders. It turns out Dr. Ferrer isn't a medical doctor at all . . . and Red State has done some interesting reporting that further examines her background. Not only are her credentials in question . . . but so is her salary which totals nearly $500,000 a year. Yikes!
In yesterday's press conference California Governor Gavin Newsom announced he would be cutting state worker pay by 10% to help account for the massive shortfall in the state budget.
Also in today's episode we talk about the Senators under FBI scrutiny for potential insider trading, Amazon's sick workers, and countries varying social distancing guidelines.
Panic! Panic! Panic! The curve has flattened in almost every U.S. city and state and now the government is doing all they can to keep the fear and panic going. Our Mayor in Los Angeles has now implemented a mandatory mask order when you leave your house in Los Angeles. The lockdown started over 9 weeks ago. So why now?! Many public officials are starting to see push back from their residents about their lockdowns and it seems that mandatory mask orders are the new way to keep the lemmings in line. We've gone from pandemic to panic-demic!
We have exciting news from Wisconsin where the Supreme Court overturned the governor's lockdown! Now only if we could get that in California . . . Due to the court's ruling, restaurants and bars are able to open immediately in the state.
California has released their reopening guidelines for restaurants and they are complete rubbish and not based on science whatsoever. We tell you some of the ridiculous new regulations that restaurant owners will be facing.
Lastly, we visit Pennsylvania and a horrifying story of severe nursing home mismanagement that has devastated thousands of families across the state.
Today we update you on the latest draconian lockdown measures in Southern California that are punishing taxpayers while letting the homeless off the hook. We’re also joined by undercover journalist James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, who discusses his latest explosive story exposing CBS. James really is one of the best journalists operating in the US these days.
Southern Californians have been prisoners in their own homes for weeks due to restrictions by state and local “leaders”. Well, most Southern Californians at least. On this week’s podcast, we expose how these extreme measures don’t apply to the homeless.
Later on in the show, we’re joined by James O’Keefe, and we discuss his latest scoop exposing CBS faking the news. The channel's reporters recently broadcast a video of a testing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, showing long, long lines of people waiting to be tested for COVID-19. Because of an incredible Project Veritas whistleblower, we now know these lines were faked and included the clinics healthcare workers who posed as patients to make the lines seem more full!
James also discusses the massive pushback against his work over the years and how he has been able to maintain his team’s integrity and results throughout it all. Project Veritas has seen a full legal assault to try and silence their journalism and James explains how they’ve been able to win lawsuit after lawsuit. We also hear James favorite recipe and the work of art he finds most inspiring.
Like most of you, we’ve been catching up on streaming shows over the last several weeks and in this week’s podcast, we discuss our favorites, including the hit TLC show 90 Day Fiance. The program was popular even before the pandemic hit, but recently, its ratings have skyrocketed! Finally, we want to thank you all again for tuning in each week and leaving so many wonderful reviews of the show on Apple Podcasts. Keep it up! We read and treasure each and every one.
As you may recall, we have been waiting anxiously to get our beach access back in Los Angeles. After much anticipation, the county has announced they will open this week . . . but with strings attached! If you want to go the beach in Los Angeles you must be engaging in active activities - no sitting! And if you are not in the water - you must wear a mask. This latest order by Los Angeles shows that these overpaid public health officials and politicians aren't really relying on science - it's all politics and power.
Today we also hear about Fauci's testimony in front of the Senate HELP committee. Fauci told the New York Times last night that he predicts "needless" deaths if the economy reopens too quickly. We debunk the media's hysteria surrounding Fauci's statements.
On today's episode we also talk about Elon Musk and his quest to reopen his Tesla factory in California. After battling with county officials, Musk decided to take matters into his own hands and open against the county order.
Lastly, we revisit our friend Governor Hot Spot who has a new name for the Wuhan Virus - and it's not what you'd think...
In today's episode we take a very evenhanded look at the "Plandemic" video that has been spreading through social media like wildfire. As documentary filmmakers, we examine some of the strengths and weaknesses of the film and what could have made the film more credible. But we know one thing for sure - we cannot trust the film's major critics! The mainstream media has rushed to discredit the film since it's publishing and we know for sure they cannot be trusted to cover the virus or the film fairly.
Also on today's episode we further examine the economic ramifications of the lockdowns. The "lockdown forever" crowd uses anti-capitalist arguments to try and discredit the economic ramifications of the virus. They say things like, "You just care about business not people." That couldn't be farther from the truth. In reality, thousands of Americans are dying from lack of employment and lack of hope.
We also talk about the new travel restrictions for the U.K. which could destroy business travel and tourism, China's attempt to refute coronavirus blame, and more!
We hope you enjoy this episode! Please consider a monthly gift to keep us going >> https://unreportedstorysociety.com/donate/
Instead of working on public health guidelines or helping businesses reopen, the San Antonio City Council has decided that it's much more important to regulate the speech of their residents. Phrases like the "Chinese Virus" and the "Kung Fu Flu" could be banned under guidelines under consideration by city councilors. This is a very slippery slope that could encourage other "woke" cities to follow in their footsteps.
In terrible news, the unemployment rate has hit a whopping 14.7%. We discuss whether these folks will be rehired and what jobs may not return after the lockdown. Huge corporations in the sharing economy like Airbnb and Uber are taking massive hits at the moment. Will they be able to recover?
We also look at new data from New York which is a bit embarrassing for our friend Governor Hot Spot. New data shows that 66% of people who were hospitalized for the Wuhan Virus were people who stayed home. It's critical that states reevaluate their lockdown strategies - especially if this is found in other states.
Lastly we revisit our old pal Joe Biden's podcast . . . or what's left of it. The former Vice President has announced this will be his final podcast . . . even thought the election is months away.
On today's episode of the Daily Virus we talk about Shelley Luther, the woman who was jailed for opening her Dallas salon. Good news - since recorded she has been RELEASED! We talk about the madness that has led us to freeing inmates and jailing business owners. This has got to stop.
Los Angeles has FINALLY announced that they will be easing their lockdown . . . but it's not by much. Now some retail will be allowed but it must be drive up style only. This means that customers cannot enter the store. How will clothing stores be able to sell their products effectively? It makes absolutely no sense.
We also talk about Neil Ferguson and his latest slip up. Not only is Ferguson the architect of the faulty models that plunged the world into paranoia and economic destruction . . . he violated his own "quarantine" mantra! You won't believe this latest case of "lockdown for thee but not for me!"
Also on today's episode we talk about Hollywood's calls for a "new normal" and the latest on Governor Hot Spot's subway fiasco!
This week, we bring you two very exciting interviews. First, we’re joined by journalist and commentator Heather MacDonald, and Alana Goodman of The Washington Free Beacon stops by to reveal how the liberal media is conspiring to cover up a possible murder.
Heather MacDonald joins us from the COVID-19 epicenter New York City and she warns that New York is being destroyed by the lockdown and the panic surrounding it. We hear how Governor Hotspot is ignoring the reality of his state and treating every county the same - even areas where there have been no cases. Heather is also an authority on Black Live Matter and we discuss how her facts triggered an actor on Phelim’s play Ferguson and the chaos that ensued.
Finally, we wrap up the interview asking Heather about her favorite thing to cook and her favorite piece of art. Our guest is quite the cook, so you’ll definitely want to tune in to hear her answer! Especially her divisive views on vegetables.
We’re also joined by journalist Alana Goodman, who revealed the fascinating story of how it looks like the leftist media may have helped cover up an alleged murder. they tried to pin a death on President Trump after a couple consumed fish tank cleaner, claiming they followed the President’s recommendation that it was a treatment for Coronavirus. Or at least that’s the story the media wanted you to believe. Alana’s work is an incredible piece of journalism and in it she reveals the true story behind those claims. It is a True Crime classic story.
Governors in states like California are claiming their lockdowns are purely based on science . . . but as time goes on and governors are forced to cave on their draconian measures it is becoming even more clear that the lockdowns are purely political. In California we were awarded a small victory yesterday when Governor Newsom announced we would be moving on to Phase 2 of the reopening. Phase 2 is not a huge improvement . . . it allows for some nonessential retail stores to reopen which will hopefully allow small businesses to start competing with the big stores like Walmart who have been allowed to remain open despite high foot traffic in these stores. How is Walmart safer than your local book store? It's not!
After Russian doctors complained about lack of protective equipment in the Russian media . . . they have fallen from windows and "committed suicide" in the past few weeks. Are these truly horrific suicides carried out by these doctors? Or is this the Russian governments way of silencing whistleblowers? It seems very similar to the disappearance of Chinese whistleblowers that the media has neglected to cover.
Lastly we talk about the Pulitzer Prize awards that we released yesterday. You won't believe who won. It seems like the Pulitzer Prize has become the "Fake News Awards."
Happy Cinco De Mayo! We may be celebrating with a few cocktails this afternoon. We hope you enjoy the day despite the circumstances!
On today's episode we talk about the ever changing goal posts of the lockdowns. From what began as "flattening" the curve has turned into "crushing" the curve. What comes next? Our hospitals are NOT overwhelmed and many are expected to file for bankruptcy. We discuss the governors like Kate Brown in Oregon who have decided lockdown until JULY with very few deaths/hospitalization rates/cases in the state. How does that bode for the rest of us?
We discuss more on the governors of America as the Wall Street Journal rolls out their coronavirus grading system. It's bipartisan and gives you an interesting look at which governors are handling the crisis the best. Some of them you wouldn't expect!
The Wall Street Journal has yet to release the full list, be we are interested to see how Governor Gruesome Newsom ranks. He has infuriated much of Southern California with his fact free beach closures.
Additionally, we discuss how borders between countries have become COOL again! Isn't that funny? The open borders crowd has really changed their tune in the midst of this pandemic.
The Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, was once seen as a dreamy establishment liberal politician. But now Governor McDreamy is taking a hard turn to Governor McFascist. Newsom upset millions of Americans across the state when a leaked memo said he would close beaches and parks across the state. In yesterday's press conference, he was forced to recant his order and close the beaches in just Orange County -- arguably one of the most conservative counties in the state! Now he's being sued by several of the beach towns.
Also on today's episode we revisit Neil Ferguson . . . the man's whose models disrupted the world and likely crashed the global economy. We have some new news from him you're not going to like.
Today we also talk about what the international headlines are saying about the United States. Media in other countries are misleading their citizens to create the appearance that the United States in in complete chaos over the virus. They're manipulating statistics and giving the appearance that America is the new ground zero for the virus. That's a lie. That's China!
Lastly, we examine the new video from Project Veritas that likely shows that states are seriously padding virus death statistics.
Tomorrow is May! Finally! It's been a long month, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. On today's episode we discuss Governor Cuomo's massive mistake in not closing New York City's metro. According to his statements yesterday . . . he's starting to admit that "public transportation" could have a huge role in spreading the virus. Duh!
His administration announced yesterday that they will finally be sanitizing the metro every day -- leaving many New Yorkers to wonder -- what was happening before?!
While the rest of the country (and the world) is beginning to open up, Governor Gavin Newsom has decided crack down on his citizens even more. States like New York and countries like Italy are beginning their reopening plans while Newsom stalls. Last night, a source in the police community leaked a press release that appears to show Gavin Newsom will ban all state beach and park access. His power struggle continues . . .
Also on today's episode we discuss the new news about General Flynn, the "fish tank cleaning" homicide (?), a cat throwing politician and more.
We hope you enjoy this episode! Please continue a monthly gift to keep us going >> https://unreportedstorysociety.com/donate/
On today's episode of the Scoop we have a very special guest! Toby Young joins us all the way from across the pond! Toby is the General Secretary of the Free Speech Union and he also runs a fantastic website called LockdownSkeptics.org. He also is an incredibly talented British political commentator and he is the former head of the New Schools Network.
We discuss with Toby the history of the lockdowns and how we went from needing to "flatten the curve" to having to demolish the virus in its entirety. We also look at how lockdowns like this set a very dark and scary precedent for the future. We discuss Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his battle with the virus as well as public perception and response to the lockdown.
Also on today's episode we discuss the latest cringeworthy (and soon to be cringeworthy) documentaries about Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. We hope you enjoy this episode of the Scoop!

It seems like everyone is out for capitalism in today's troubling times. On today's podcast we begin with a story from the New York Times that shows their continued efforts to try and put a stop to the reopening of our economy. It seems like the mainstream media does not want our country to reopen anytime soon. And why is that? Most likely it's because the longer we wait to reopen, the harder it will be for our politicians to stop the creeping socialism that is entering our lives throughout the pandemic.
In another attempt to thwart capitalism, Los Angeles is debating the food delivery service fee that allows apps like Postmates, Doordash, and UberEats to provide us with food from local restaurants. These services have been a lifesaver for many families during the COVID-19 crisis and now Los Angeles is moving in to put those services at risk.
We also discuss a story in Panama where a group of woke folks from the U.K. are stranded after attending a festival called The Tribal Gathering.
Also on today's episode we discuss Cuomo's pandemic regrets, the changing video streaming industry, and the return of the Obama's.
Please enjoy today's episode. If you'd like to contribute to keep us going, you can give your tax-deductible donation at TheUnreportedStorySoceity.com
We hope you had a great weekend. In today's episode we talk about more failures of the New York Times. As their virus coverage continues, we continue to see how the Times is much more concerned with slamming Trump than they are with doing real journalism. We examine a few articles from over the weekend that show their growing bias and their sympathies with the CCP.
You may recall that at the beginning of the pandemic, two major ships were brought to New York and Los Angeles to help ease the burden on city hospitals. It turns out . . . we really didn't need those ships after all.
Over the weekend we also learned about the growing insecurities in our food supply system. Farmers across the country are dumping crops they are unable to sell/use/distribute and animal farmers are doing the same. The country needs to open as soon as possible or this problem will grow much worse.
Also on today's episode we discuss a very good piece of reporting from the Washington Free Beacon about the man who died ingesting fish tank cleaner. You may recall that the mainstream media tried to blame this man's death on President Trump. It turns out, he had a very troubled marriage and this story is far more complicated than what mainstream outlets like CNN have been reporting. In fact, this story really belongs on Dateline!!
Lastly, we take a look at the COVID-19 numbers across the country and the disastrous stories of inflated numbers that are making it very hard for people to separate fact from fiction. Silver lining . . . it looks like this is ending . . . very soon!
As the virus coverage continues, it's becoming more clear that the response to the Wuhan Virus is largely political. Earlier this month a Michigan lawmaker thanked President Trump for publicizing the benefits of hydroxychloroquine after it saved her life during her battle with the Wuhan Virus. Now her party is moving to censure her and is threatening to withhold their endorsement. Hydroxychloroquine may not be the magic bullet - but it's saved lives and now the left in Michigan is trying to silence Representative Whitsett for sharing her truth with others.
Also on today's episode we talk about the downfall of the Paycheck Protection Program which has been largely successful with providing small business owners with the needed funds to keep their employees on payroll. Some small business owners who have received funding from the PPP are getting animosity from their employees who are making more on unemployment than they were at their jobs.
We talk about Adam Carolla's notable story of how he dealt with his mother's dependency on welfare. It's not an easy mindset to overcome.
Lastly, we examine the New York Times' latest failure and what it really means to be a "Republican source" or a "source with ties to the President."
In today's episode we cover the skyrocketing unemployment numbers that have left millions of Americans out of work. Will we bounce back? We are optimists so we hope so!
It's time to reopen the economy. This has gone on long enough. Certainly metropolitan areas like New York City will need to open slower than the rest of us - but the majority of the country is not seeing the massive case numbers, death tolls, or hospitalizations we were told we would see. Is that because the models were inaccurate to begin with or is it due to social distancing?
Most likely it's both. We discuss the history of Neil Ferguson - the man who contrived the 2.2 million death toll that pushed President Trump and others to lockdown their states and countries. Turns out - Ferguson has a history of creating jaw-dropping models that are wildly inaccurate. We discuss why you cannot trust his science and why America MUST reopen.
Also on today's episode we discuss Harvard's walk of shame! Harvard has announced they will be returning federal funding after accepting major funding from the federal government during this crisis.
Lastly, we talk about Los Angeles' latest crusade against landlords and one city councilor's desire to buy out struggling property owners in order to house the homeless.

On this episode, we’re joined by not one but TWO exciting guests - Mollie Hemingway and Marc Morano!
We are so excited to have our dear friend Mollie Hemingway on the podcast again this week. Mollie is a senior editor at The Federalist and a wonderful journalist. As many of you know, she is the inspiration for the blogger character in our movie Gosnell! From her own “home studio,” Mollie joins us to discuss the latest updates in pandemic news and the latest draconian actions from around the country. We also discuss the recent sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden and yet another example of media double standards. Mollie’s book Justice on Trial is the definitive take on the Bret Kavanaugh hearings, so if anyone is an expert on media malpractice, it’s her.
Our second guest is Marc Morano of ClimateDepot.com. Marc is another good friend of ours and is perhaps best known for writing the great book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change. With Marc, we look at the similarities between how some politicians are responding to the pandemic and how they respond to climate change. We also flash back to Phelim’s epic confrontation of Al Gore a few years ago. Marc discusses why climate change models always fail and some possible “silver linings” from the coronavirus panic. Finally, Marc reveals his favorite thing to make for his children at home.
Thank you again for tuning in each week. We will continue to bring you high-quality podcasts and projects during “quarantine” and beyond! And don’t forget to leave us a review on Apple Podcasts. We read and appreciated every one.
Last night's Monday night news dump left the left very very angry as Trump announced that America will halt immigration as we battle the coronavirus. The "close everything" crowd is of course up in arms, calling the move "racist." It's truly remarkable how the mainstream media and activist left are able to hold such double standards.
Yesterday Los Angeles came out with some incredible news that the virus most likely has a lower death rate than anticipated. A recent study leads the county to believe that the death rate could be closer to 0.1% or 0.2% according to county officials. Of course, the LA Times took this opportunity to push scare tactics and bury the lede on the story.
Oil prices have hit an all time low and yesterday prices plummeted to the negatives. We explain what that means and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez' incredibly insensitive tweet about the disaster.
Also in today's episode we discuss Earth Day (which is tomorrow) and the American media's neglect of whistleblowers in China who warned us about the dangers of the coronavirus. The communist regime in China has sought to silence anyone critical of the CCP's handling of the matter. We will be keeping you update on these brave individuals in future episodes.

This weekend thousands of Americans across the country protested their state, county, and city lockdown laws. Several notable cities along the California coast held protests including San Clemente and San Diego. More and more people are starting to protest the draconian laws like the ones Michigan.
This weekend we took a stroll alongside Venice Beach in California and the police were out in full force. Whereas Florida is slowly opening up their beaches, California appears to be doubling down.
Also on today's episode we examine the death per million toll throughout the globe. The mainstream media wants you to believe that America has the highest death toll to population ratio in the world. That's simply not true. In fact, there are several "developed" countries ahead of us.
Today we also examine the New York Time's latest flop. They published a story over the weekend that accused Sean Hannity of indirectly killing a Brooklyn man for his coverage of the coronavirus. Turns out the story was completely FALSE. Did the NYT apologize to Fox News? Of course not.
Lastly we examine a very famous university in Ireland who has been taking significant funding from China. Their academic integrity is suffering.
On today's virus we discuss President Trump's plan to re-open America. It relies heavily on the input and direction from governors and gives the states the power to safely re-open their states. But does it give states too much power? How many governors will be dragging their feet to make a political point? We examine Trump's new guidelines and take a look at the states who are protesting their governor's executive action.
One thing we've noticed is the media's desire to compare rural communities to places with much higher density population. We discuss why it's irresponsible to compare places like Wyoming to Los Angeles or New York.
We also talk about the newly released numbers from China that show that the death toll is much worse than what many in the mainstream media anticipated. Can we trust these new numbers? Probably not. We discuss how China's malfeasance has impacted countries around the world.
Late night television hosts like Stephen Colbert are bringing a very angry and elitist tone to the COVID-19 conversation. We discuss his arrogant comments about the thousands of unemployed Americans protesting the lockdowns.
In today's episode we also give you the latest on the Royal Family, empty beds in the U.K., and more! Enjoy!
Today's episode is a bit longer than normal - but that's because there's so much to talk about! Today we examine Trump's decision to withdraw funding from the WHO. Although he's received criticism from many in the mainstream media and folks like Bill Gates - we explain why this was a good move. Very few understand the global politics of the WHO which greatly favor China. The organization's leader Tedros Adhanom has shown incredible favoritism towards China. Additionally, the WHO has recommended against many life saving measures since the start of the virus - like travel bans and wearing masks.
Also on today's episode we revisit Governor Gretchen Whitmer's "Safer At Home Order" which has sparked massive outrage and protests in Michigan. While she becoming one of the most hated Governors in America . . . she's also getting eyed as a VP candidate for Joe Biden. Yikes!
We also talk about why government spending matters in a crisis, the relaunch of FBI Lovebirds, and the shocking unemployment numbers.

Our first guest is none other than Dean Cain! You may know Dean from his roles in Superman, The Gosnell Movie, God's Not Dead, and many more!
Dean discusses how he’s spending his time in “quarantine” and how his family pets have taken to the change. He also suggests which four of his movies you should watch while you’re stuck at home. You won’t want to miss it! Dean also reminisces about his role as the star of Gosnell and talks about why it is such an important film.
We also cover the relaunch of FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers and we explain the plays brief hiatus.
Our second exciting guest is Australian journalist Andrew Bolt. Andrew joins us to talk about the “Australian Duke Lacrosse” case. Cardinal George Pell was convicted of several counts of sexual abuse and spent more than 400 days in jail. However, as Andrew discusses, there are many reasons to doubt the original allegations. It’s no surprise the Australian high court acquitted Cardinal Pell and released him from jail last week. We hope you tune in for this interview about this important case.
Today we examine a topic that seems to be lost among the COVID-19 conversation - the difference between doctors, politicians, and economists. Comments made by Dr. Anthony Fauci have been met with criticism from the right and the left - but it's important to remember he is not an elected leader . . . he is not an economist . . . he is a doctor who is trying to protect public health. We explore why that's a good thing . . . and a bad thing during our current situation.
If we were to purely focus our political decisions on public health - we would lose many things that we cherish as a country and as a people. A ban on alcohol would greatly impact public health! A ban on driving would stop accidents. But it's destructive to our culture . . .
Today we also talk about the media - who got a WIDE AWAKENING in yesterday's press conference. It's unlikely things will change from their crooked ways - but the Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that they will not tolerate the media's lies about the virus any longer.
Also on today's show we discuss the county sponsored "Snitching" in San Bernardino county. We also visit new information from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) who believes China's death toll could be much higher than anyone anticipated.

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter weekend despite the circumstances. It was a huge weekend in the news with the lockdowns in many states getting more and more stringent. As Governors and local leaders implement new virus crackdowns, new political bullies are emerging. In Michigan there's Governor Gretchen Whitmer who has implemented new orders that ban traveling to and from homes other than your own. Additionally, she's banned all gatherings of any size. We discuss other emerging political bullies in states like Kentucky, Colorado and Pennsylvania.
Over the weekend, the Pope expressed new support for UBI (Universal Basic Income) which is a policy made popular by former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
We also discuss the media's continuous bias in their selective "omissions" of information and in their faulty statistics.

Pope Francis is one of the most "activist" religious leaders in history. He's helped lead the global conversation about climate change and has made the climate crisis a religious and moral issue. Yesterday he spoke out about the coronavirus pandemic and said it might be one of "nature's responses" to ignoring the climate crisis. Linking this pandemic to climate change is not only dangerous - it could queue up climate change to be the left's next crusade after the virus is over.
In depressing news, the jobless claims continue to skyrocket. As of today, 10% of Americans are without a job. Will we bounce back from this crisis or will job loss numbers continue to escalate?
If you read the Wall Street Journal (which we strongly recommend) you might see our opinion piece in today's paper. It's about the collapsing green movement in this state of emergency. Across the country, liberal cities are racing to revoke their bans on plastic bags and reusable mandates. Will Americans start to flee cities for the suburbs where virus rates are lower and it's easier to social distance? Will public transportation rates continue to plummet? We discuss.
Also on today's episode we discuss the WHO (and why you can't trust them), draconian local laws, and more!
Lastly - we hope you and your family have a great Easter weekend. We will be taking Good Friday off so there will not be an episode of the Daily Virus tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in and stay safe!

On this week’s episode, we are joined by a very special guest from across the pond - James Delingpole! James is a good friend and journalist at Breitbart. On the podcast, he discusses the most draconian coronavirus regulations and what life is like in Great Britain during this crisis.
We also discuss with James what a post-Coronavirus world might look like. Arguably, China has extended and exacerbated this crisis because of its perpetual attempt to cover up and minimize the origin and spread of the virus from Wuhan. Should we reconsider Western-Chinese relations? This crisis has also made clear just how dependent we are on China, which produces nearly all of the world’s antibiotics. Additionally, James talks about media’s poor coverage of the pandemic and how damaging such coverage can be.
Niall Ferguson of The Hoover Institution at Stanford University also had a few things to say about China’s role in the Coronavirus outbreak. He wrote a spectacular article this week about what China will have to answer for after this crisis is over. Ferguson listed five questions he thinks must be asked of President Xi about his nation’s response to the Coronavirus. We discuss each one in detail - you won’t want to miss this!
Finally, we discuss two huge recent examples of Trump Derangement Syndrome, including one from the New York Times interview with Larry David. Not even a worldwide pandemic will stop the left’s hysterical reaction to President Trump! We wrap up the podcast by covering how we’ve adjusted to spending so much time at home and something adorable we’ve learned about our two cats!

In the latest of absolutely ridiculous tweets from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she now suggests that the coronavirus is racist because there are more cases in African American communities based on statistics she has shared on Twitter. We discuss her tweet and her wild claims.
Boris Johnson appears to be on on the up and up after being admitted to intensive care for complications with his battle against COVID-19. We discuss 10 Downing Street's handling of the matter which is reminiscent of old Britain and not the 21st century.
The media has been buzzing about hydroxychloroquine and "respectable" outlets like the New York Times have been sharing their own wild conspiracies about the drug. It seems like the media **doesn't** want people to recover from COVID-19 using this drug that has been promoted by the Trump administration.
Joe Biden has FINALLY released another podcast episode and it's just as cringeworthy as the last. We listened so you don't have to. You didn't miss much!
Lastly we revisit the mainstream media and how they create victims, heroes, and villains through their coverage of the Trump administration. Not too long ago - Peter Navarro was a villain. Now the mainstream media is singing his praises!
If you're enjoying this coverage of the coronavirus, you can support us with a tax-deductible donation at TheUnreportedStorySociety.com.
According to the White House, this will be one of the toughest weeks in American history as CCP Virus deaths are expected to rise across the country. President Trump has given Americans hope that there is "light at the end of the tunnel" but the worst is still to come.
In the U.K., Boris Johnson has been admitted to the hospital for his struggles fighting the virus. We wish him well and discuss the Queen's very rare speech from last night.
We also discuss the history of Trump's involvement managing the response to the coronavirus. While the mainstream media likes to say Trump has largely mishandled the crisis - the truth tells a different story. We discuss an article in the Federalist that chronicles Trump's history fighting the virus.
Also on today's episode we revisit Joe Biden's podcast (or lack there of), the homeless crisis in Los Angeles and a paddle boarder who was arrested in Southern California for defying the state order!
The media has complained for years that President Trump doesn't do enough press conferences. Now, the White House is doing a daily conference about critical information about the coronavirus and news outlets like CNN are refusing to cover it. Why? Because since the president began these daily virus briefings, his ratings have been on the rise. This is a colossal failure for the media that's depriving Americans of important information.
We also discuss the drama surrounding 3M. Yesterday, President Trump announced he would invoke the Defense Production Act to force 3M to sell their vital protection equipment to U.S. states instead of other countries.
Also on today's episode we talk about the benefits of "fast fashion," why you should continue to be wary of China, the benefits of killing net neutrality, and more!

P.S. Tomorrow is Phelim's birthday. Wish him happy birthday on YouTube or Twitter!
The media needs to get a grip. Everyday their coronavirus coverage gets more misleading, nasty, and detrimental to our country. Yesterday we learned that China **did** lie about their coronavirus numbers despite what the mainstream media had been clamoring for days. The media has been proven wrong and they continue to mislead the public every day.
Recently the Boston Globe editorial wrote that President Trump has “blood on his hands” from the way he handled the coronavirus. Unfortunately, the Boston Globe has decided not to present their readers with the truth. The Globe claims that the virus has infected many more Americans than any other country in the world. We discuss why there is so much wrong with those statistics and why they are incredibly misleading.
Yesterday we also went on an adventure to Skid Row which is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country. In fact, over 50% of the population is homeless. You won't believe what we saw.
Good news about California. An article by Victor David Hasen questions if California has garnered “herd immunity.” We discuss his fascinating article in the National Review.

On this week’s episode of the Ann & Phelim Scoop we tackle cancel culture with Bret Stephens. Bret is a columnist for The New York Times and enraged the left when he wrote a column that argued that Woody Allen’s memoir should be published and why Conservatives should care about liberal voices being silenced. Bret highlights why due process, and a fair hearing in public is critical for even the most controversial of people. We also discuss some of the very disturbing revelations about Hollywood actor Mia Farrow as described in the book.
We also discuss Bret’s latest column about his mother - who fled the Nazis - and as such understands that bad things can happen to good people. She has words of wisdom about the Pandemic. You won’t want to miss this interview. It was originally supposed to last just 10 minutes but the talk was so interesting that we just let it run.
Also in this episode, Bret explains what it’s like to be an anti-Trump conservative and still support many Trump policies. It’s a fascinating and analytical perspective that is rare in the political conversation.
Following the interview, we discussed how we’re continuing to deal with the increasingly draconian regulations issued in California during this pandemic. It seems everyday that our leftist mayor takes away another thing we enjoy in the name of “social distancing.” Is it truly about being “socially distant” or are these new bans coming from mainstream media exaggerations?
We also look at how the technology that has helped us adapt to the changing times. In particular, we discuss how Zoom has made it possible for us to stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues. Additionally, in between Zoom meetings and phone calls, we’ve found ourselves very impressed with Dr. Deborah Birx’s performance on the Coronavirus Task Force. And she’s so fashionable to boot! Finally, we read aloud some of our favorite reviews and comments we’ve received on the podcast over the last few weeks. Keep them coming!
CBS News is the latest media outlet to mislead Americans during the coronavirus. In a recent report, CBS took footage of a crowded hospital from Italy and included it in a segment about New York’s battle with the virus. Is this an “accident” like CBS claims or is this malfeasance? We discuss.
Because we care about you — we listened to Joe Biden’s podcast so you don’t have to. The podcast is called “Here’s The Deal” and it’s anything but a causal conversation with Joe Biden. In fact, it’s highly scripted and continues to lead Americans to question if he’s capable to serve as our president.
In yesterday’s press conference, President Trump invited the “My Pillow Guy”, Mike Lindell, to speak about his efforts to produce 50,000 more masks to help battle the virus. Instead of praising Lindell for his efforts, the media and the left went nuts!
Lastly, we talk about the double standard in media for our world leaders. It seems President Trump and Boris Johnson are working the hardest to battle the virus on a global scale. Unfortunately, they’re getting the most blowback from the media. Countries like Sweden — who are refusing the lockdowns seen across the globe — aren’t getting nearly as much negative coverage as conservative leaders.
We hope you enjoy this episode of the Daily Virus. Please share this with your friends and neighbors. We must get the truth out there!
This week was full of disappointing news on the coronavirus - but we are hoping to bring you a bit of cheer and good information as you start your week! On Sunday we learned in President Trump's press conference that the CDC will extend their social distancing recommendations through the end of April. We explain what that means for you and your family - of course it varies greatly by each state. In California, it likely means we will be in lockdown for at least another 30 days.
As a result of the lockdown our (not so nice) Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, has decided to close down all of the beaches, hiking trails, and recreation facilities in Los Angeles. You may have seen crowded beach pictures in states like Florida - but the beaches in California have been largely empty due to the chilly weather. Now the beaches are closed to taxpayers and they're open to homeless people! We tell you about some of the disturbing things we saw this weekend and how the city continues to mishandle the homelessness crisis.
Also in today's episode we discuss why you should always be wary of gifts from communists. China is on a MASSIVE public relations campaign to try and curb global opinion of their handling of the coronavirus. They claim to have made a concerted effort to assist other countries with the handling of the virus. However, the gifts from the CCP (ventilators, etc) are often turning up broken. Beware of gifts from Communists!
See you tomorrow for another Daily Virus episode!
As the virus continues to spread throughout the globe, so are half baked “facts” from our politicians, scientists, and the media. Day by day it’s getting increasingly hard to separate fact from fiction. Yesterday we told you about scientist Neil Ferguson who is walking back on his study that kickstarted the lockdowns across the globe. His original death estimates of 2 million in the United States are now being scrutinized by many - but they are still being promoted by our politicians.
We also discuss an article in The Federalist that alleges that the lockdowns we’ve seen across the United States are based on false models from an online mapping tool called “COVID Act Now.” So far, the models have largely overestimated the impact of the coronavirus. This modeling comes from a team based at the Imperial College of London which has a bad track record of predictions.
In today’s episode we discuss other widely shared fake stories like the “death panels” and the amount of hospitalizations in New York. We also discuss the mainstream media and how China is cashing in on the virus.
Coronavirus lockdowns are happening all around the world and every country, state, and city is taking drastically different measures to stop the virus and slow the spread. We discuss lockdowns in France and a very short ban on alcohol as well as what is happening in Los Angeles.
Today we also examine the stimulus package that looks likely to be signed by the president very soon.
Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has an incredibly interesting article in the Spectator that examines the cost of saving lives during the coronavirus. It’s worth the read and highlights some excellent points about public safety, tradeoffs, and the governments role in protecting its citizens.
Also in today’s episode we turn back to China and discuss an incredibly bizarre phenomena that has happened in the country. In China, citizens are heavily reliant on cell phones. It’s their way of interacting with the government and it surrounds much of their daily life. Recently, millions of phones have been disconnected in the country. Why? Is it related to the CCP Virus? We discuss.
Our good friend Jan Jekielek of the Epoch Times joins us on today's episode. Jan is an expert in modern Chinese relations, government, and culture. He gives us an inside look into the Communist Party of China, the CCP Virus, propaganda and more. We also discuss the mainstream media and how the media could be doing the CCP's bidding as they report on the virus. Jan is an incredibly knowledgeable guest and his work can be found at The Epoch Times and on his show American Thought Leaders.
Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/mgjvtfIk0II
This week we also talk about how the media and Hollywood are dealing with the coronavirus and the lockdowns in Los Angeles County. If you haven't seen it yet - the left's favorite celebrities got together to create a very cringeworthy rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine." It shows just how out of touch Hollywood is with the rest of the world!
We also share some great recommendations for recipes, audiobooks, and other things to get you through the quarantine. Stay safe and thank you for listening!
The news around COVID-19 is updating quickly and on the hour. Since most of our listeners will be home throughout the week, we will be posting bonus episodes of the Ann & Phelim Scoop that focus specifically on the coronavirus updates - we’re calling it the “Daily Virus.” As you may know, the news around this topic is changing rapidly so we would like to keep you up-to-date as much as possible.
Let us know your thoughts on these special daily episodes of the Ann & Phelim Scoop. In today’s episode - we discuss the very important stimulus bill that is stuck in Congress.
Accusations are flying about the priorities of the bill but the Democrats have stalled a bill that would have put direct financial relief into the hands of millions of struggling Americans. In fact, in the Democrats’ proposed legislation they included over $35 million in funding for the Kennedy Center and elements of the Green New Deal with new subsidies for solar and wind projects. What does that have to do with the crisis our country is facing now? In fact in the light of new research showing warmer weather slows the spread of the virus shouldn’t we be welcoming Climate Change and not be fighting it?
We also discuss how the crisis had shown how Big Business is fabulous and the Californian war on the gig economy is ludicrous. And we also sound alarm bells about the apparent good news coming out of China.
We may be “social distancing,” but that didn’t stop us from recording this week’s episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop! On this episode, we discuss the latest in culture, politics and more!
Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/dkbQAT3P9Y8
Last week, we discussed the new film The Hunt and how it is crucial that conservatives see it. Since our previous episode, we’ve seen the film and bring you our take. Although movie theaters are increasingly closing, Universal has made it possible for you to watch The Hunt digitally starting this Friday. We detail our perspective on the film so you can judge whether or not its a worthy download this weekend.
Also, we’re grateful to have a very special guest with us on this week’s episode! Robert Bryce is an author, journalist, and expert on energy and electricity. He’s written several books, including his newest, A Question of Power: Electricity and the Wealth of Nations.
He provides his take on a range of topics including the increasing threat to public health, ridiculous energy proposals from the left, and fracking. You won’t want to miss this interview or a second of Robert’s expertise.
Later in the podcast, we discuss how CPAC was affected, where we showed FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers a few short weeks ago and a threatening tweet targeted at CPAC attendees that has since come true. We also share our thoughts on how to make it through this disaster and Ann rounds out the show by sharing a delicious recipe for beef bourguignon, a perfect dish to make while we’re all huddled in our own homes.
We can finally share our photos from our meeting with President Donald Trump in the White House! Make sure you check out this week’s episode on YouTube so you can see just how excited we were to meet with the president. This week, President Trump announced that he is appointing Mark Meadows to be his next Chief-of-Staff. We share some wonderful stories about Meadows and why we think he’ll be an excellent addition to the president’s staff. Unsurprisingly, the left has gone out of their minds about this appointment.

We discuss all of the details. Additionally, we cover the strange verdict in the Harvey Weinstein trail and our expectations for his upcoming sentencing. The Democratic race has narrowed quite significantly since our last episode. We discuss the recently narrowed field and the left’s double standard on identity politics. Also, in our “Crazy California” segment, we cover the absurd new AB-5 law, which categorizes “gig economy” workers as employees.
The law has already resulted in thousands of lost jobs among freelancers in California, and will likely continue to do so. Even left-leaning Vox has already laid off hundreds of freelance writers. The world celebrated International Women’s Day earlier this week and teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg had a few things to say about it but actor James Woods, then responded with one of his classic tweets. We cover all of the details. Finally, we discuss some upcoming films coming out of Hollywood - the good and the bad.
We’re back from CPAC! On this week’s episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop, we discuss the FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers premiere at the conservative conference and our exciting meeting in the White House with President Donald Trump. We share the highlights of that conversation and some of the “swag” we received from President Trump.
FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers was a smash hit in Washington, D.C. this weekend. Unsurprisingly, the leftist media isn’t too happy about it. We discuss the best (and worst) coverage of the play. Outlets from The New York Times to The Washington Post had plenty to say about FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers. We also discuss fears over a possible Coronavirus epidemic and how so many people have taken to “panic buying” because of it. We discuss a recent trip to Trader Joe’s and how the store’s customers are preparing. Also, we cover how these fears are showing us just how dependent we are on China here in the United States.
We also have an update on the infamous Josh Fox! Apparently, the filmmaker’s girlfriend is just as much as a hypocrite as he is! We discuss. Additionally, we give you the latest updates and our thoughts on the current presidential race. Finally, we round out the show talking about the great Andrew Breitbart on the eighth anniversary of his passing. We would have loved to hear his commentary on President Donald Trump.
Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Gm-f3TOvS04
On this week’s episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop, we preview the play’s premiere at the conservative conference this weekend. The left has gone absolutely unhinged at the thought of CPAC attendees seeing the truth behind the Russia collusion hoax. But it isn’t just the left - some on the right have displayed the same outrage. We discuss.
Speaking of deranged leftists, we also touch on the latest from the campaign trail. It looks like Bernie Sanders has locked up his party’s nomination and members of the liberal elite aren’t having it. We also cover some climate change news and the very creepy move Mike Bloomberg is making in an attempt to “fight” it.
During our time in New York, we’ve spent some time in a few bookstores and are shocked to see how much “woke literature” is on the shelves and directed at children! From feminism to intersectionality, it seems like every one of the left’s favorite issues has made its way into children’s literature. We also cover two absurd articles from the New York Times and talk about a new form of activism: “rage baking.” We also have a special *Not* Crazy California segment - it’s time for some good news from the west coast! We wrap up the show talking about the film The Hunt, which is finally making its way to movie theaters very soon. We discuss why conservatives may be wrong to condemn it.
This week we recap our recent interview with Dr. Elizabeth Loftus, the psychologist and memory expert who served as an expert witness for the Defense in the Harvey Weinstein trial. Dr. Loftus discussed her work as well as NYU’s cancellation of her scheduled campus lecture - likely in response to her work with the Weinstein team.
Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/fY9V27SAsFc
As you may know, our play, FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers will be shown at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at the end of the month! This marks the first play performance at the annual conference. We discuss how you can help us get FBI Lovebirds to CPAC and the “perks” you’ll receive for your support. You can send your tax-deductible donation at FBILovebirds.com.
Also, we recently had a “throuple” date with Mark Steyn on Valentines Day. Steyn was a recent guest on the podcast and we can’t recommend his upcoming 2020 cruise enough.
Finally, we turn once again to the topic of fracking. Hollywood actor and activist Mark Ruffalo recently posted a video detailing his support for Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and why he thinks it's time to “ban” fracking. Ironically, Ruffalo refers to a scene from Gasland in which a homeowner sets his tap water on fire, supposedly due to fracking. We’ve discussed that clip - and why it’s bogus - in length on past podcast episodes. It’s also the scene that got us interested in the issue of fracking. It’s time for another fact-check.
In this week’s episode we celebrate the life of our dear friend Orson Bean who passed away this past weekend. Orson was a Hollywood hero and a legend who brought joy to so many people through his incredible career in entertainment. He was a strong man of faith and family and he will be missed dearly by so many.
Watch the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ecTpKCR8w9k
Also in this week’s episode we talk about the onslaught of attacks that we’ve received from the left since the announcement that FBI Lovebirds has been invited to CPAC. Even George Conway was throwing punches our way! If you haven’t contributed to send FBI Lovebirds to CPAC - we hope you will. We are about 20% of the way to our goal and still have $44,000 raise in a very short amount of time.
You can pitch in at FBILovebirds.com.
We also discuss a BIZARRE and false study from Yale that alleges that fracking causes STDs. It’s frightening that the anti-fracking left will peddle whatever lies they can to stop one of the most beneficial things for our global economy. It’s lunacy! We also have some very interesting stories about Joe Biden, AOC, and our New York AirBnb! Please enjoy this week’s episode of the Ann & Phelim Scoop!
Brexit has finally arrived! Just a few short days ago, The UK has officially left the European Union.. On this week’s episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop, we discuss this victory for democracy and discuss why the left isn’t too happy about this development (even thought the left were once the most ardent Brexiteers).
We also made a very difficult admission on this week’s announcement. On one very specific issue we have discovered that we actually agree with Michael Moore! The filmmaker hit the campaign trail recently and discussed his frustration with Michael Bloomberg being allowed on the Democrat debate stage and how the Democrat establishment really really like rich establishment candidates.
Hopefully you’ve been following along with The Harvey Weinstein Trial: Unfiltered, our brand new verbatim podcast. This week, we summarize the first several days of the trial and bring you first-hand information from inside the courtroom that the media doesn’t want you to know. Also, Phelim shares his “Top 5 Reasons'” Harvey Weinstein may be acquitted.

This week The Ann & Phelim Scoop is coming to you from New York City! We will be here for the next few weeks as we cover the Harvey Weinstein trial for our new daily podcast, The Weinstein Trial: Unfiltered.
Watch the show on YouTube: https://youtu.be/3kGOJm7569o
You might be curious as to why we are devoting so much time covering the Harvey Weinstein trial. It’s simple: this is the biggest trial of the year . . . and the media isn’t covering it fairly. When people hear the words of the attorneys, the accusers, and the court - it becomes clear that there is so much more to the Weinstein story than meets the eye. If you would like to listen to The Weinstein Trial: Unfiltered, you can access it at WeinsteinPodcast.com.
Also while we were in New York, we decided to take a trip to the horrifying new art exhibit in Manhattan, “Abortion is Normal: An Emergency Art Show.” The art show was created to highlight the importance of abortion and what Ann and I found so strange when we visited the exhibit was that there were no pictures of **actual** abortions.
Perhaps that’s because abortion is not normal or trendy . . . ? In this week’s episode you’ll hear the outrageous things we found at the exhibit. Lastly, our movie of the week is a wonderful film about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. It is an incredibly moving documentary that hits theaters this weekend. If you find time, please get out and see the film. As we discovered when we did the Gosnell movie, opening weekend is very important . . . so make a plan to see it soon.
Hillary Clinton just won’t go away! Hulu announced that they will be releasing a new documentary on the failed 2016 candidate. Will it include evidence of her corruption or whitewash her history? We suspect it will be the latter.

Josh Fox is back! You might remember Fox as the producer of the documentaries Gasland and Gasland II, which helped to destroy the fracking industry in upstate New York, leaving thousands of farmers out of work. Fox also has a history of lying about fracking and we bring you the latest lies from the filmmaker on this week’s episode.
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas is out with another shocking video, this time about the Bernie Sanders campaign. A Sanders campaign staffer was caught on video praising gulags and preaching violence.
Also, “woke” Twitter exploded recently after a video of actor Vince Vaughn speaking with President Trump at a football game went viral. It’s the most recent case of Trump Derangement Syndrome!
A new art show entitled “Abortion is Normal” is currently open in New York - you won’t believe some of the pieces on display. Unsurprisingly, none of them include any information about the actual abortion procedure - something we outlined in our 2018 film Gosnell. Finally, Ann provides instructions on making a delicious - and easy - bread pudding that we’re sure will be a hit at your brunch table.
Thank you to all of you who supported us so far. We hope you enjoy this week’s episode!

The environmental celebrity activists are at it again! Actor Martin Sheen was arrested at a “Fire Drill Friday” protest put on by his Hollywood cohort Jane Fonda. We take a listen to his “climate protest” speech and find out why he was an actor on The West Wing, rather than a writer.

Speaking of celebrities and climate change activism, we talk about the latest developments in “Megxit,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to leave their position as “Senior Royals” and split their time between Great Britain and North America. Talk about a big carbon footprint!
On the podcast, we cover the most popular Farsi tweet on the planet - from President Trump! It may very well lead to a nightmare scenario for the far left in America. In other positive news, President Trump is rolling back onerous environmental regulations - and the New York Times isn’t happy about it.

Hillary Clinton is back! On this week’s episode we discuss Clinton’s newest role as Chancellor of Queen’s University - Phelim’s alma mater! It’s her latest attempt to stay relevant in an increasingly radical Democratic Party.
Also, presidential candidate Cory Booker recently shared his “New Year’s Resolutions” with Pod Save America - we watched the episode so you don’t have to! Spoiler alert: Booker’s “resolutions” sound a lot like virtue signalling. We also discuss Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan who took to Twitter this week to express sympathy and empathy for Iran over the killing of radical terrorist Qasem Soleimani.
Lastly - Ann shares her great recipe for baked brie!

It’s been a busy week at the Unreported Story Society. Phelim talks about his recent run in with the Los Angeles “homeless” population and how he managed to stop a thief escape with a very expensive piece of property in Santa Monica -- and we have it all on video. On this first episode of 2020, we also look back to the past year and discuss our “best of” lists and the moments we’d most like to remember (or forget!) from 2019. Last year, Hollywood released some wonderful (and not-so-wonderful) films. Our favorite is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And did you hear that a Canadian broadcast company edited Donald Trump out of the Christmas movie Home Alone? They claim there was an innocent explanation but Phelim and Ann are skeptical.

In the final chapter of the report Inspector General Michael Horowitz's makes his recommendations to prevent a reoccurrence of the FBI misconduct that was uncovered in the Crossfire Hurricane/Russia investigation. If you've listened to this report with us, you'll see how Crossfire Hurricane was an unprecedented and apparently politically motivated investigation that violated the rights of private citizens. It also revealed how the FBI infiltrated a political campaign during an election as senior FBI agents wrote about stopping a candidate from being elected. Do Horowitz's recommendations have the teeth needed to prevent a repeat of what happened? Even the Inspector General admits that, "current Department and FBI policies are not sufficient to ensure appropriate oversight and accountability. . ."
Thank you for listening to the Inspector General's Report narrated by Adam Baldwin. It has been a pleasure bringing this important report to life and The Unreported Story Society will have more projects like this in the future. Please stick around for our weekly podcast The Ann & Phelim Scoop which comes out every Wednesday. Hosts Ann McElhinney & Phelim McAleer discuss politics, culture, art, and more! If you enjoyed this project, you can donate to the Unreported Story Society at TheUnreportedStorySociety.com.
This is the most compelling chapter. It lays out in shocking detail all the malfeasance of the Deep State. Learn what the Inspector General thinks about Christopher Steele's relationship with the FBI, the 17 "errors and omissions" in the FISA application, Bruce Ohr's conflicts of interest, and the use of undercover agents in the "Russia collusion" investigation. You cannot read this chapter without coming to the conclusion that this was a political investigation. However, the Inspector General takes a much weaker approach. Is he correct? Tune in now!
In Chapter 10, we learn about the FBI's use of Confidential Human Sources (CHSs). The report found that, while the Crossfire Hurricane team did not place any CHSs or UCEs (Undercover Employees) in the Trump 2016 campaign, several of their CHSs and UCEs frequently interacted with three Trump campaign officials, allowing them to penetrate and monitor a political campaign. Also, we find out that the Supervisory Special Agent (SSA 1) in charge of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation gave an FBI briefing to candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton during the campaign cycle without disclosing his position within the investigation. He used the briefing as an intelligence gathering exercise on the candidate Trump and the Trump campaign.
We dive deeper into the shocking IG report and discuss some of the bombshell revelations within the document. You won’t believe what it reveals about the conduct of the FBI and the bogus “Russia Collusion” investigation. Also, we discuss the latest Clint Eastwood film, Richard Jewell and the important parallels that exist between it and the nature of our politics today. Believe us, this is a film you need to see - and bring a friend! Additionally, we cover the huge election results from the UK and the continued successes for Prime Minister Boris Johnson. It may come as a surprise to many of you, but Michael Bloomberg is running for president! We discuss his soon-to-be failed presidential run and reveal an incredible story about the former New York City major that recently resurfaced. We also bring a very special Christmas-themed version of the “Crazy California” segment and a recipe for a delicious, and easy, sheet pan berry crumble. We’re very grateful to all of you who have supported us so far, we are so happy to be able to bring you The Ann & Phelim Scoop each week.

In Chapter 9 we learn how Bruce Ohr a former Associate Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice maintained secret communications with Christopher Steele after Steele was fired as an FBI source. We also learn that Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS who commissioned Christopher Steele to create the Steele Dossier which contained the fake information that allowed the FBI to monitor and secretly record members of the Trump election team during the campaign. It is also revealed that Bruce Ohr also had an an ongoing relationship with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson. According to Steele, he and Ohr also discussed Steele's concerns about a potential Trump victory. Chapter 9 also reveals how Ohr downplayed his connections with Steele when he was talking to Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General - who said he was "shocked" when the full details emerged.
Chapter 8 reveals that the Inspector General found 17 "omissions and errors" made by the FBI as they applied for FISA warrants to wiretap and monitor Trump campaign worker Carter Page. The FBI's "errors" even included fraudulently altering documents! Additionally, this chapter reveals additional holes in the Steele Dossier. In fact, FBI interviews with Steele and his sources showed serious discrepancies between his reporting and the statements of his sources but these discrepancies were hidden from the FISA court. Don't miss this pivotal chapter of the Inspector General's Report!
After the first application for a FISA warrant before the 2016 election, the FBI applied three times for a renewal of the warrant that allowed them to wiretap and monitor Trump campaign worker Carter Page. Throughout the process, the FBI made over seventeen errors, mistakes, and omissions. What is so incredible about this entire process is the FBI's willingness to push for the renewals even though the IG report found they were "inaccurate, incomplete and unsupported by appropriate documentation." Also the FBI withheld evidence that would have shown Carter Page was innocent. These applications allowed the FBI to spy on Trump campaign staff and the Trump campaign. Had the applications been filled out honestly and correctly, it is likely that the FBI would have never been granted the ability to carry out this surveillance.
In this chapter, we learn that Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous "Steele Dossier," was fired as a source by the FBI because he leaked his bogus anti-Trump reports to the ultra-left Mother Jones. We see how the Steele Dossier was elevated to the highest levels in the FBI and how senior FBI agents found his reporting was not corroborated but failed to pass the information to the FISA court when seeking warrants to surveil Trump campaign workers. We hear how the FBI learned Steele misrepresented what his sources told him and about verification of the salacious stories. However the FBI also failed to tell the FISA court this important information when using the dossiers for applying for a renewal of the FISA applications.
In this chapter we learn how the infamous "Steele Dossier" was used to apply for a FISA warrant to investigate Trump campaign worker Carter Page. In earlier chapters we learned that the Steele Dossier was a politically motivated report funded by the Democratic Party and contained second hand unverified information. Chapter five reveals the first FISA application was "inaccurate, incomplete" and filled with "undocumented" information. This deception meant the FISA application was granted and allowed the FBI to spy on Carter Page and the Trump campaign before the election.
This chapter examines the FBI's relationship with Christopher Steele. Steele is the author of the infamous "Steele Dossier" the FBI used to get the warrants to monitor and secretly record Trump campaign workers and the Trump campaign. He was hired by the Democratic Party through the firm Fusion GPS. Chapter 4 reveals how Steele told the Inspector General it was created by "single source" reporting and "uncorroborated intelligence." Steele also tells the Office of the Inspector General that the ultimate client of the report was the Clinton presidential campaign and that Hillary Clinton was aware of the project. We hope you enjoy the 4th chapter of this important report.
Chapter 3 is one of the chapters that the mainstream media doesn't want you to know about. You'll learn how in a breach of regulations the Trump investigation was opened by anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok who pledged to prevent a Trump victory. You'll also learn how the Obama White House knew about the investigation of a political rival - were they directing it? Additionally find out how the FBI covered up the political motivations of Christopher Steele when using his dossier as a cover to get warrants to spy on the Trump campaign. It is truly shocking what went on behind closed doors at the FBI.
We discuss the insane revelation that FISA warrants were issued, allowing the US to spy on American citizens and that those warrants contained 17 errors or omissions, in other words, lies. If you or I did this with our insurance application or say our IRS statement we’d most likely end up in jail. Also, we discuss how Hollywood has decided to resurrect the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) as its next battle and is using Madam Secretary and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, to push their agenda. Both television shows repeated the very same lie about conservative giant Phyllis Schafly and her history of activism. We make sure to correct the record.
In the second chapter of the 2019 Inspector General's report we learn of the FBI's standards and safeguards and how they **should** have been applied when opening and conducting counterintelligence investigations. As later chapters reveal these standards were often ignored in the Trump/Russia investigation.
In fact, the FBI had 17 pieces of important information that they kept from the FISA court. Had they given the FISA court this information, it is likely they would have never been allowed to obtain the warrants that allowed them to monitor individuals in the Trump campaign.
What is the Inspector General’s report that is creating a buzz around Washington? Who is the “Deep State” and how did they attempt to undermine Trump by launching the Russia Collusion investigation? Was it warranted? Who was involved?
Ignore the mainstream media spin and decide for yourself. Welcome to the first episode and chapter of the 2019 Inspector General’s Report read by award-winning narrator and actor Adam Baldwin. Don't let the media tell you what to think about this pivotal report. Listen to the report on the go and make up your own mind!
This is the first chapter of the report that will be uploaded chapter by chapter. Stay tuned for the next installment tomorrow! Subscribe to the Ann & Phelim Scoop and share this episode with other truth seekers.
The Unreported Story Society is launching a new project to help expose the truth behind the fake Russian Collusion narrative that was concocted by DOJ and FBI operatives to take down President Trump. We discuss this incredibly exciting new project in a SPECIAL “Russia Collusion Hoax” episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop with Mollie Hemingway.
Mollie is an incredibly brilliant writer and journalist and she is a senior editor at The Federalist. She’s one of the few true “experts” left in Washington, D.C. With Mollie we discuss the Kavanaugh hearings, the Russia Collusion Hoax, her new book Justice On Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation & The Future Of The Supreme Court, and our latest exciting project . . . On Monday, December 9th, the Inspector General will release a report that evaluates how operatives like Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, and James Comey may have violated government protocols to launch a fake investigation into the president. The report will give an inside look into the ‘Deep State’ and the allegations of spying.
Please sign up at HearTheIGReport.com to get the first episode as soon as it comes out! You won't want to miss this!
We discuss the latest in the “FBI Lovebirds” saga. Just this week, The Daily Beast published a glowing interview with disgraced FBI attorney Lisa Page in which she played the “victim-card” and claimed she is not guilty of any wrongdoing at all. The mainstream media was more than happy to spread this falsehood and repeat the lie that the Investigator General’s report “cleared” Page and Peter Strzok of any wrongdoing. On this week’s podcast, we tell you the real story. And nobody knows the story better than us. We are the only people who have actually read all the texts between her and her lover Peter Strzok while preparing for FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers.
Also, we bring you a crazy story in the Los Angeles Times that shows how much damage powerful West Coast unions can have on job creation and employment. It’s an absurd tale and we give you every single detail.
We have some incredible projects and interviews coming up and we need your help! We’re grateful to all of you who have supported us so far and are so happy to be able to bring you The Ann & Phelim Scoop each week.
We’re very excited to be joined by the wonderful Dennis Prager for a very special Thanksgiving themed episode. Dennis discusses his Thanksgiving traditions and the importance of practicing gratitude year-round. Listen to find out why he believes gratitude is the key to happiness.
Also, we talk about Dennis’ experiences living in the Soviet Union as a young man and what it taught him about the importance of freedom. He also shares with us how PragerU developed and the impact it has had on young people worldwide. We also hear how he first went to a sleep-away camp for eight weeks at age five where he experienced some of its rather unusual “monitoring” activities. We also remember how we first met Dennis when he interviewed us about our documentary FrackNation and how we became instant friends. We thank him for his constant support for all our projects from our verbatim play Ferguson to the movie and book Gosnell.
Also, Dennis shares some pieces of wisdom from his books, lectures, and videos on topics like gratitude, happiness, and freedom. We wrap up the episode hearing about Dennis’ issues with home cooking and his eternal love of music.
We hope you and your family and friends have a safe and happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! Stay tuned for next week’s episode of the Scoop. Thanks for tuning in!
We have an exclusive interview with a very special guest: David Daleiden! Over the last several weeks, we’ve kept you updated on David’s court battle with Planned Parenthood in San Francisco. In a chilling attack on journalism, the judge presiding over the case ordered David and his team to pay nearly $2 million! David tells us what has motivated him to expose the truth and why he will keep fighting.
We also cover the latest from the impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill. Over the last several days, Democrats have continued to reveal that these proceedings are nothing more than a circus - a very boring circus.
Also, we discuss the latest news out of “Crazy California,” where the Trump administration intends to crack down on the state’s homelessness epidemic and how the Nextdoor App seems to have Trump Derangement Syndrome on the issue. Finally, we wrap up by sharing the best way to make Irish Coffee -- if you haven’t tried it yet, you won’t want to miss this!
Stay tuned for next week’s episode of the Scoop. Thanks for tuning in!
We’re joined by Jan Jekielek of The Epoch Times, a publication that has long covered independent journalism. Their coverage of FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers and Gosnell is must-read commentary.
On the podcast, Jan discusses the long history of The Epoch Times as well as a recent attempt by NBC to smear the publication. We also briefly discuss Michael Bloomberg’s (likely doomed) entrance into the Democratic presidential race.
Earlier this week, we attended the Los Angeles premiere of Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager’s film, No Safe Spaces. We discuss the importance of the film as well as the latest craziness from college campuses. Finally, our red carpet interviews are MUST WATCH. Tune in to hear commentary from Dennis Prager, Ben Shapiro, and more!
We battle Scaredy Cat and Top Cat at their most energetic to discuss the Epstein/ABC “coverup,” David Daleiden’s ongoing court battle against Planned Parenthood, the Exxon “Climate Trial,” and much more. Scaredy and Top obviously missed us and wanted to make up for us being in Ireland/UK for two weeks.
In the podcast we update you on our time in the UK and how Brexit never happened and why Boris Johnson is turning out to be a disappointment to many. We have the latest update from David Daleiden vs Planned Parenthood trial in San Francisco. In court, David revealed why he is proud of the work he did with the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover investigation. Tune in to hear our full discussion on his response.
Also, on Tuesday, Project Veritas released yet another bombshell video. Their video exposes how ABC refused to cover the Jeffrey Epstein story despite having interviewed his victims. According to ABC anchor Amy Robach, it was pressure from the Clinton’s and the British Royal family which stopped the allegations from being broadcast.
On the podcast, Phelim also reveals EXCLUSIVE video from the so-called ExxonMobile “Climate Trial.” Environmental activists proclaim that Exxon knew they were “destroying the planet” but chose to continue in the pursuit of profit. In actuality, this isn’t much of a “climate trial” at all - it’s a nothingburger. We discuss at length.
This week’s episode comes to you from across the pond! In London, we’re joined by a fabulous panel of guests to discuss the latest with Brexit and the Establishment’s attempts to kill it.
If you’re unfamiliar with Brexit and the negotiations that have happened over the past three years, what you’ll find so remarkable is the similarities between the Establishment in Britain and in America.
In America, the Establishment has been trying to undermine President Trump since he was elected. They call Trump supporters, “ignorant” and “racist.” In Britain, the Establishment elite meets Brexit supporters with the same name calling and nastiness. Both groups deny the results of two perfectly legitimate elections and our guests explain how that mindset is incredibly dangerous to the future of democracy.
The “Brexit” panel includes three fantastic guests including Member of European Parliament and Director of The Academy of Ideas Claire Fox, Breitbart’s James Delingpole, and Irish writer John Waters.
We also cover “Brexit Derangement Syndrome” and the Establishment’s dangerous attempts to stall the British exit from the European Union. We compare the European “Brexit backlash” and the reaction of the American political class (The Swamp) to Donald Trump’s election in 2016. If you’re new to Brexit or an expert on the issue -- this is a great and lively conversation for all to enjoy.
We're joined by the wonderful Elisha Krauss of The Daily Wire. We discuss parental rights, school choice, Trump, and the future of Roe v. Wade. Phelim also provides an update about his trip to report on the David Daleiden case in San Francisco. Ann shares a brief recap of her speech at Oklahoma State University and we discuss the increasingly leftward tilt of college campuses around the country.
Phelim has been in San Francisco covering David Daleiden’s court battle against Planned Parenthood and Phelim also interviewed (or attempted to interview) two Planned Parenthood executives in San Francisco. On the podcast, we share the exclusive videos of both interactions and their reactions to Phelim’s tough questions.
Additionally, Ann discusses her recent speech at Oklahoma State University, sponsored by Young America’s Foundation. In the days leading up to the event, OSU students vandalized all the posters advertising the lectures. Watch the latest episode to find out how the event turned out!
And this week, Phelim looks back at a frightening encounter he and Magda had with protesters at Standing Rock. At one point, these climate radicals barricade them in their car! You have to hear this incredible story.
We are joined by Kristy Swanson! Kristy is the incredible actress who played Lisa Page in Phelim's play FBI Lovebirds which was released on YouTube this Monday. You may know Kristy from her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pretty In Pink, Big Daddy, Psych, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. In the past few years, Kristy has been one of the most outspoken conservatives and Trump supporters in Hollywood. She discuses this experience with Ann & Phelim as well as what it was like to star in FBI Lovebirds live with Dean Cain.
We also discuss the latest in David Daleiden’s court battle against Planned Parenthood and why the case really is about abortion, even thought the mainstream media and the court would have you believe otherwise. Have you heard about Samuel Little? Some in the media argue that he’s the “most prolific serial killer in U.S. history.” We beg to disagree - abortionist Kermit Gosnell takes the top prize.
We discuss the latest top news stories including Planned Parenthood’s “secret weapon” in Hollywood, a devastating report from the New York Times, and yet another “hate crime hoax.”
We also return to the topic of 16-year-old “activist” Greta Thurnberg and her recent meeting with Arnold Schwarzenegger. More climate change hypocrisy? You bet.
Additionally, we covered the latest news from “Crazy California.” It seems the LAPD has found time to launch an investigation into how a recruitment ad that appeared on Breitbart yet has still done little to address the state’s “homeless crisis.”
We are joined by the incredible author and commentator Mark Steyn! Our dear friend Mark invited us on the second annual Mark Steyn Cruise earlier this month, which made its way from Vancouver to Alaska. It was a wonderful experience. While on the ship, we filmed a very special live podcast episode that we’re excited to share with you.
We met Mark “virtually” in February 2007 when he wrote kindly about our documentary Mine Your Own Business in the Orange County Register. We finally met in person in Washington, D.C. a few years later and we share the hilarious story of our first meeting on this week’s podcast episode.
Mark also discussed his frequent appearances and commentary on the Rush Limbaugh Show and his gave his opinions on American politics, including his suggestion that we never become “emotionally invested” in politicians.
On episode #8, we also discussed the latest Brexit and UK news and Mark shared his thoughts on the newest British Prime Minister and his former colleague on the Spectator magazine, Boris Johnson. We learn the very interesting reason Boris was late for one of the very famous and very boozy Spectator lunches. We covered “Brexit Derangement Syndrome” and how it compares to “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Mark also talked about what he finds most “refreshing” about President Donald Trump.
We are joined by two very special guests and dear friends: Alan and Lisa Robertson! You may know Alan as the “beardless” Robertson brother who first appeared in season 4 of the television program, Duck Dynasty. He is also a pastor who has written extensively on issues of faith, marriage, and forgiveness. Alan and Lisa have written several books, including their latest, Desperate Forgiveness.
We asked the questions “what is forgiveness” and, perhaps more importantly, “what is it not?” Tune in to the full podcast to hear the Robertsons’ answers. Alan and Lisa also covered additional topics like marriage, faith, and family and shared their advice for mending broken relationships. Lisa also shared her love of the short-running “Duck Commander Musical” and a delicious recipe for pecan chicken
We are joined by a very special guest: British journalist and commentator Katie Hopkins! We’re so very excited to share this interview with one of the most important truth-tellers in the UK, one who draws comparisons between how the elites in the US and UK are trying to overthrow democratic decisions of the people.
We discussed Katie’s background - her military career and entrance into political commentary - and how she made history in the UK version of The Apprentice. She also shared her thoughts on the newest British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. We discussed the latest “Brexit” news and the European left’s and British elites’ continued resistance to Britain’s proposed exit from the European Union. We even discussed what a “post-Brexit” UK might look like and our hopes for the future.
We return to a discussion of the 2020 Democratic Primary and its front runner, former Vice President Joe Biden. Does Biden have an email problem of his own? We discuss. We went to our local Congressman Ted Lieu's town hall so you didn't have to and returned with plenty to cover.
A Portland State University professor was recently punished for doing original research that revealed the low academic standards that exist in fields like Gender Studies. We discuss this and more cases of selective outrage in our "I'm outraged by your selective outrage" section. We also combine our “Crazy California” and “Trump Derangement Syndrome” segments to cover one story: Hollywood actress Debra Messing’s latest attempt to doxx and blacklist Trump supporters and fundraisers.
We also review Dave Chappelle’s new Netflix special and the predictable leftist backlash it has received. This week’s movie review is Falling Inn Love, the latest “rom-com” offering from Netflix. Finally, Ann wraps up the episode by sharing a scrumptious “Easy Peasy Mixed Berry Galette.” Try it at home and let us know what you think!
Portland State University Craziness
Falling Inn Love
We bring you the exciting news that the Climate Crisis has been solved! At least it seems to be solved according to former First Couple Barack and Michelle Obama. The pair recently bought a 6,900 square foot mansion in Martha’s Vineyard with beach access. No sign of rising sea-levels there. Also, the Marriott Hotel chain’s “green choice program” recently faced some backlash from labor unions as it finally has affected activists. The rich can afford the green indulgences but it is the poor that suffer the most.
In our latest “Crazy California” segment we update the world on the so-called homeless crisis on the West Coast and how Los Angeles just seems to want to encourage it. Then we look behind the scenes at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Arizona where a former employee was awarded $3 million dollars in damages for wrongful termination after she raised safety concerns that were endangering women’s health.
This week’s movie review is box office hit Angel Has Fallen - a not so secret pro-Trump film - a fact that mainstream critics seem to have missed. Ann’s recipe for this episode is a delicious bread and butter pudding style dessert made with stale croissants, maple syrup, and berries. This is a recipe you won’t want to miss!
We discuss sixteen-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg's latest venture and other news from the radical environmental left. We also ask the question, "when did capitalists give up on capitalism?" The economic system that brought peace and prosperity to the United States has been increasingly attacked as of late.
We also update you on the latest from "Crazy California" and discuss Mark Halperin's upcoming book, " How to Beat Trump: America’s Top Political Strategists on What It Will Take." Ann wraps up the episode by sharing her mother's delicious recipe for rhubarb and almond pie.
If you enjoyed the episode, be sure to give us a shout on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Ann & Phelim open with an “apology” to Bill and Hillary Clinton that you definitely don’t want to miss. The Obamas are settling into their role at Netflix! Or, are they? Our hosts discussed the new venture and their skepticism about the substance of the former First Family’s actual role at the media giant.
The five year anniversary of the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri just passed. Phelim discussed his FERGUSON verbatim play, which premiered in Los Angeles and New York in 2015 and 2017 and consists of word-for-word dialogue from grand jury testimony. Our hosts then compared the actual facts of the case to its treatment by the mainstream media and the Left.
Ann & Phelim also talked about the recent cancellation of the Universal Studios film The Hunt, a fictional tale of blue-state liberals “hunting” red-state Trump supporters for sport. The film received significant backlash from conservatives and President Trump himself.
Our hosts also provided an update on environmentalist Josh Fox’s pitiful fundraising campaign and the recently released book This is Not a Drill: An Extinction Rebellion Handbook, which is full of climate change hysteria. Ann rounded out the podcast by sharing a delicious frittata recipe, which is great to serve at brunch, or to store in the fridge as a healthy snack.
We discuss the tragic shootings in El Paso and Dayton over the weekend and the media’s politicization of both. We also discussed the 2020 race for the Democratic nomination and the pitiful polling for “climate change candidate” Tom Steyer. You won’t want to miss our update on eco-fanatic Josh Fox’s sorry crowdfunding campaign for a nationwide “grassroots film tour.”
We also discussed the hypocritical media coverage of both Prime Minister Boris Johnson and President Donald Trump. We also make time to discuss former Irish President Mary Robinson, the latest crazy editorial from the New York Times, and more. Stick around for more discussion of Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood, our review of the Netflix film Otherhood, and our take on Tim Alberta’s new book, American Carnage. We wrapped also shared the recipe for Ann’s “World Famous” meatballs.
Welcome to the first episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop. Join Ann McElhinney & Phelim McAleer weekly to hear their incisive and witty commentary on politics and culture. They'll even be sharing their favorite recipes and critiquing the latest Hollywood films.
