Arch-Bishop Asa Gurupira is the Arch-Bishop of Faith In God Ministries International. He was called by God into the ministry at the age of fifteen, but ignored the call and pursued his studies in the area of Chemical Engineering. 

In 1989 he graduated with a Masters’ Degree in Food Technology from the Havana University in Cuba. As the call of God intensified while working in the corporate world, Apostle Asa finally succumbed and went into full-time ministry leaving his gainfully paying job. 

Today he has become successful in ministry and is a prolific international speaker who travels around the world preaching and teaching at conferences and crusades. His main thrust is in Spiritual Warfare and Leadership.

“One of the things that I want to speak about is the stigma, that is the reason why I volunteered to come out being a medical health practitioner and a doctor.

“Look, I had Covid-19 and it was not my fault. I did not do anything, there is nobody to blame,” said Dr Chirisa.

Apostle Shiloh Masenyama was born to lead. He is a firstborn in his family – among other firsts.

In the ’90s, he was allured by the unflinching teachings of Bishop Pride Sibiya, then an emerging preacher. When Bishop Sibiya left his former church to launch Glory Ministries in 2001, Apostle Masenyama requested to meet him.

“After a series of prayers, God told me to follow Him. I then fasted to get direction. I had attended all-night prayers hosted by Bishop Sibiya,” recalls Apostle Masenyama. “Then I heard he was starting a church and I went to meet him. I later joined him becoming the first member.”

Bishop Sibiya echoed the incident. “Apostle Masenyama asked to become part of the vision,” said Bishop Sibiya. “I had already attended a service alone and I told him if he comes we will be two. He agreed.”

The next service Glory Ministries had two congregates. He became the first Elder. His pioneering streak continued, becoming the first member to be ordained as a pastor. He convinced his brother Apostle Johannes to join the ministry. Other family members were saved.

“I had a vision where our venue was filled. After a while, people started to come in and we had an overflow of congregates and we filled the yard.” The vision was fulfilled. The church grew.

At birth, he had inherited his grandfather’s title – Tirivenhamo Chanetsa – a name implying one cursed by poverty. But Bishop Sibiya renamed him Shiloh – inferring prosperity. His surname Masenyama means plenty.

And 19 years later, he has remained steadfast towards the vision. Presently he is the South African and international overseer of all Glory Ministries and chairperson of the International Church Council (ICC). Yet another first.

“I thank God for his grace upon me. Ebenezer – we have come this far. A lot of ministries started at the same time as us but they are no more. Some young pastors have lost it; they are now after money and abusing the body of Christ. I am proud to be part of Glory Ministries.

Many people do not think and as a result, they are where there are because they do not think. An assessment done recorded that 5% of people think, 15% think that they think and 80% would rather die than think.

A C.E.O of a telephone company is paid more than his co-worker digging trenches yet digging trenches is harder work than his because thinkers are paid more than hard workers. Thinking is much more difficult than working that is why many people would rather work than think. In doing the work of God we do it by the grace of God but grace is activated by our thinking. 

You are in the situation that you are in now because of your thinking. The bible says as a man thinketh so is he. You are what you are today because of your thinking, and you can get out of the situation that you are in now not just by prayer and fasting but by thinking.

The book of exodus is a book that was written by Moses. The name exodus means to exit.  This is where we took the theme of our conference, Tiyambuke because at one point the people of Israel wherein bondage and God sent Moses to deliver them. 

Moses was raised by God to deliver people to the Promised Land. When you cry to God, he releases a prophet to deliver and liberate you. God will send a prophet in your time and age to deliver you from your afflictions.

The book of Hebrews is a book of better things. The background of it was written because there were Jews that were saved and because of persecution from other Jews who were saying why have you neglected our faith, because of those persecutions some had already backslidden and some were now falling away. So the writer was writing this book to strengthen the people. He showed them that backsliding is moving to something good but not better. 

What is good is not better than better. 

The writer shows us that Jesus is better than angels. The Jews saw angels but Christians see Jesus who is of better rank. Mosses is not better than Jesus, Jesus is in the level of Melchizedek - The Better Deliverance - Ministering Healing and Deliverance with Bishop Pride Sibiya

We thank God because of His grace and unmerited favour, we were worshipping many gods, we were in our sins and had no hope, but the bibles says that whilst we were sinners Christ died for us. We did not deserve the grace of God but the blood of Jesus qualified us.

The church was founded by senior pastors Dr S.M Chirisa and D Chirisa in 2012; they received a call 7 years prior. The first church service was on the 4th of March, 2012 .

Since then, the church has grown and continues to grow in both size and influence.

Many of us arrive too quickly, we think the world knows us and yet many people do not even know you. 

So it is important for us to know that in order for us to make an impact we should distinguish ourselves through excellence because people are attracted by things that have distinction, different and eye-catching. Some of us are pastors and so on and wonder why people are not coming to church, sometimes is because of our level of exceptionality and excellence. 

Nowadays people are not only coming to church for them to go to heaven but they want to know what you can offer to make their lives better. People want to be associated with something that is better than them and can take them to another level.

Tiyambuke 2019 - Life Beyond Stagnancy and Vicious Cycles - Overseer Abgirl Chinoruma Testimony!


Harare – Pastor Abgirl Chinoruma hates the devil with a passion, hence her passion for deliverance. During her early years, her family indulged in spiritual mediums and sacrificial worship.

But all their actions were in vain.

“I do deliverance and it is my passion to see people being delivered. I do not hesitate to go for it. I hate the devil with a passion because I grew up in a family were we worshipped dead spirits but nothing changed,” she recalls.

“He taught me to tithe from the gross salary not from the net salary and 2004 was our turning point we paid our tithes faithfully and we got breakthroughs. We were able to buy a brand new bed set which we had failed to buy for the past two years,” she remembers.

But Who Is Apostle Pride Sibiya - Visionary and Founder Of Glory Ministries: The year 2018 marks four decades (40 years) of my father’s earthly breathe and existence; 23 years of his ministration of the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ; and 17 years of the existence of Glory Ministries; the organisation where he is the founding father, incumbent president and presiding bishop.

Apostle Pride Sibiya, affectionately known as Chabod (Kabod) in Glory Ministries’ close circles, has fathered me for close to 7 years now, and for all that time I have come to partake, receive, be influenced, equipped, transformed and witnessed the full “Manifestation of God’s Glory on Earth” through the humble servant of the Most High.

Evangelist Paul Saungweme: Evangelist Paul Matsangaise Saungweme was born in 1957, the third born in a family of eight. 

He spent the major part of his young life living with his grandmother in the rural area of Mbeza, Mutare, after having been rejected as a child by his father. He was named Zuvarimwe (literally translated One Day) because of his fragile health and state of infirmity, his family never imagined that he would live long enough to stand before multitudes of people and preach the wonderful Word of Jesus.

The day he decided to cross the border into neighbouring Mozambique and commit suicide was the day that Paul bumped into a crusade being run in his home area. That was the Day he gave his life to Christ. He was 18 years old at the time. Paul's passion for God burned with him. As the preachers of that time preached that 'the end is near' Paul became desperate to preach the Word of God to as many people as possible and to see them saved.

He says "When I came to know the Lord, I felt others should also know Him. He released me from poverty, rejection, curses and I felt and still feel that many others must know Him."

From the time he started evangelizing in 1975, Paul saw the Lord moving him from one dimension of Ministry to another. Someone gave him an accordion and gas lamp to light the way, and he went from one rural village to another preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in Zimbabwe. Many people were saved through this. He marvels as he says "I would have between 100 and 200 people at my crusades and I would be so satisfied. There were also many testimonies of God's power at these crusades."

Tiyambuke has been running since 2001 and has matured to be one of the biggest conferences in Zimbabwe.

The name “Tiyambuke” meaning, “Let us cross over,” speaks volumes of its aim. Drawing from the Biblical Exodus, it aims to take people from the figurative Egypt of ignorance, sin, sickness, demonic bondage, poverty into a Canaan of knowledge, the love and fear of God, health and well-being, emancipation and divine prosperity.

The world-renowned gathering will commence on the 26th to the 31st of August 2019.

Bishop, Apostle Pride Sibiya (www.pridesibiya.com) - Tiyambuke 2019 founder and visionary, will lead this year's conference at the Glory Ministries, Bethel Worship Centre in Chitungwiza, Greater Harare.
