Why I Stopped Releasing Music
It’s been a minute since I dropped some tunes, and I wanted to share a little insight into what’s happening behind the scenes. Recently, my wife hit me with, “You care too much about what people think.”
I’ve been encouraging others to release music, yet here I am, silent.
Flashback to high school – I played basketball in Connecticut, transferred to NC, made the team, and even started at one point, but things changed! Benchwarmer status. Fast forward to the music scene, and it’s the same story. “Let others critique your work,” they said. I did that, and it wasn’t pretty. Critics trashed it without giving constructive feedback.
I let their words get to me, doubted my instincts, and neglected the music I knew I should be making.
To everyone out there facing the same struggle, let’s switch it up this year!
