For the 50th episode, the tables are turned and Adam Wagoner, Co-Founder of Vessel Office of Architecture, Adjunct Instructor at CU Denver CAP and host of Architect-ing, is interviewed by previous guest and friend of the show, Katie Donahue (episode #19). In this long episode, after popping confetti, the two talk about who Adam is not, his background growing up in the middle of Kansas, and his various experiences progressing through Kansas State University, Wichita, the Netherlands, Yale, Mexico City, Denver and his newest architecture firm, Vessel Office. From there they get into everything from design obsessions, working methods, internship experiences, founding companies, academic failures, ideas of “good” architecture and reasons to start the podcast. Katie tried to ask Adam 50 questions about himself, but stopped at 15.

Adam Harding

Adam Harding, principal of Roth Sheppard Architects, joins the show to talk about his uniquely Colorado career and the new path he has been plotting since taking over leadership at Roth Sheppard.

We talk about his art-influenced background through his education at the University of Colorado. Out of school, Adam started at Roth Sheppard and has never left, becoming a principal in 2016. He is heavily involved in creating a better community and giving architects a stronger voice in his multiple roles at AIA Colorado. He navigated the pandemic as the president in 2020.

Kitty Yuen, Principal and Denver Studio Leader at Ratio Design, joins the show to give a low down on the Colorado design scene.

Kitty has been a mainstay in the Denver for the last two decades, moving up the ranks at firms like Klipp Colussy Jenks Dubois, Oz, Gensler, Burkett Design, EUA and now to the Studio Leader position at Ratio Design which was previously Humphries Poli.
