New Voting Laws and the Future of Elections - The Factual Club
Since the start of this year some 43 states, often led by Republican governments, are pursuing at least 253 bills that would make it harder to vote. In parallel, Democrats have introduced the broad-reaching For the People Act, a federal bill that would impose rules on states to broadly make voting easier.
How might these bills affect elections in the future? Will you be able to cast your vote as you did before? Will our faith in our election process go up or down with these changes?
Join panelists Sue Halpern (The New Yorker), Darrell West (Brookings Institution), Ben Politics (Youth In Politics), Rina Shah (Republican strategist), MItchell Rosenberg (Simplified) to hear their answers to these and more questions.
