Zach Miller shares about how fear has robbed him and others throughout his life and how God is teaching him the truth of 1 John 4:18a "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts how perfect love casts out fear". At the end of the episode Zach shares a practical means of how to confront a specific fear or fearful situation in a prayerful God honoring manner that leads to faith, joy, and peace. 

In this episode Zach Miller discusses how valuable it is to let oneself hunger for food, possessions, dreams and almost anything. For hunger is of God, Deuteronomy 8:1-6, and hunger opens up the ears of our heart and our eyes to really see what is in our hearts. Zach also shows the connection between hunger and humility and that we are truly blessed by God when we start to take the focus off of ourselves, and our wants, and let God become our sole focus. 

In this episode Zach Miller interviews his high school football coach, Craig Beverlin. Coach Beverlin has grown many men over the years both on the football field but also in his leadership classes. As one wise in the ways of build a winning team, Coach Beverlin shares how God is always chasing him and how Pride is a major stumbling block that keeps men from becoming who God has called them to be.

Unknowingly, many men wrestle internally with this question and make many costly mistakes in their efforts to prove to themselves or others that they have what it takes, that they are a man. Zach contends that a Godly man, provides and protects spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

In this initial episode of the Arrow School for Men podcast we hear Zach Miller interview his father, Dennis Miller, about how the little desire of learning to play the guitar was God's tool draw him from boyhood to manhood. Dennis shares about his wandering in life as a boy until he met the God of the Bible and how his time in the Word ordered his mind and eventually his life. He also emphasizes the practical spiritual, emotional, and physical provision that a man brings to his home and marriage by being stable. Dennis shares that a man can only be stable when they are grounded in the truth of the Word and view all things from God's perspective. Then a man can look back and remember God's faithfulness in the past. This higher ground perspective then provides us with courage to face the present battles in the strength of the Lord.
