The Influx of US Capital: Why Now?
In 2021, 28% of all Venture Capital investments in Europe had at least one US fund on their cap table, to put that number into perspective, it was 16% in 2017. There are many factors as to why this influx has happened, some could be perceived as "pull" mechanisms towards the European tech ecosystem and others as "pushes" away from long standing hubs such as Silicon Valley. To find out more, listen to this episode as Francesca unravels the causations and correlations behind this surge of US capital entering Europe. This episode features the following guests: Harry Briggs (OMERS) Paul Murphy (Lightspeed) James Wise (Balderton) Hussein Kanji (Hoxton) Briehan Burke (Keen) Jan Miczaika (HV) Zoe Chambers (Frontline) Anna Ottosson (Trellis Road) Judith Dada (La Famiglia)
