Lessons from Toronto's entrepreneurs and innovators
Earlier in September 2022, we delivered our first-ever in-person talk with a special guest panel, Derek Jouppi (former COO & co-founder of Suncayr) and Nilay Goyal (a startup coach, business mentor, and Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business). As some of our leaders of the innovation economy in Toronto, they spoke towards their lessons learned and highlight experiences.
The talk is moderated and led by Harry Gandhi, Director or Innovation Boost Zone, the early-stage technology startup incubator housed under Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University). Harry co-founder and former CEO of a smart lens startup, Voyage Labs.
Breaking the stigma around psychedelics
Even today, an era where research and technology is considered a touch away, the area of psychedelics is shadowed by stereotypes and conceptions meant to mask reality. In this talk, we’re going to shift away from the norm, and break down the stigma surrounding psychedelics and psychedelic use.
Our guest, Rotem Petranker, is a PhD Candidate at McMaster University and the Associate Director for the Center for Psychedelic Studies at the University of Toronto. With his extensive research and data, he will make understanding psychedelics an accessible topic for all, so we encourage everyone to come.

What does the future of the internet look like?
We chatted with Mario Vasilescu on the big internet problem and where the future of the internet goes from here.
Mario is the CEO and Co-Founder of Readocracy. Readocracy enables people to engage with the internet in a smarter, healthier and more sustainable way - where the quality of information comes before the quantity. It accomplishes this by giving users credits for their attention online, so they can verify their consumption and prove their credibility on any subject.
A lot of Mario's efforts focuses mindful over mindless online consumption and thus, working towards creating a smarter society.
