We are back! After months of being back on home soil, we are back to give you the low down on leaving the comforts of au pair life and adjusting into “normal” life back home. It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey!

One of the most stressful parts of the end of your Au Pair term is packing your life into suitcases! It seems an impossible task, but believe us, it’s not! We chat about our experience packing 2 years into 2 suitcases and give you some tips to try and make things a little easier!

In this episode we are joined by our friend Cat. She au paired in America and then jetted off to The Netherlands to continue her au pair journey. We wanted to interview Cat as her post America Au Pair life is different than a lot of Au Pairs. She’s experienced so many different cultures, hello’s and goodbyes in short amounts of time. This week we chat to you about the 3 top agencies that send Au Pairs to the USA. We give the basic information to help you get an idea of what each agency has to offer so you can take the steps to join one of them and become an Au Pair in the USA!

A couple of weeks ago we put up a poll with some potential episode ideas and asked which one you want the most. Much to our surprise “dating as a Au Pair” was the clear winner! So this week we delve into the dating life of Au Pairs. Is it easy to date as an Au Pair? How can we be safe dating in a new Country?

As part of this experience sometimes Au Pairs get the opportunity to join their host families on vacations. The question is: should the Au Pair work? Do they still get their weekend stipend? Is the Au Pair on vacation as well? We answer these questions and discuss expectations from Au Pairs and Host Families in regards to vacationing with the family!

We were contacted by a wonderful soon-to-be host mom recently and she asked us to record an episode on what makes a good host family and how she can make her new au pair feel welcomed. We reached out to you guys and asked what makes a good host family in your opinion and how your host families helped you settle in and keep you feeling welcomed throughout your term! On the 10th December 2021 T left North Carolina and flew up to New York to visit Steph for a weekend! In this episode, we share what we got up to together! We ticked off a bunch of bucket list items and had an incredible time!
