Caught by the Past
Kathryn discussed the importance of patience, compassion, and understanding in the face of life's challenges. She emphasized that life is a process, not isolated events, and that experiences, both positive and negative, contribute to our growth and understanding. Kathryn also touched on the concept of karma, suggesting that many of the challenges we face are due to unresolved or incomplete experiences from the past. She stressed the importance of self-reflection and personal growth to deal with these experiences. Kathryn concluded by suggesting that the choice between life and fear would ultimately determine the future of the planet.
Planet: Critical
Kathryn expressed alarm over the rapidly deteriorating state of the planet, with changes happening faster than expected. She emphasized the need to shift towards planetary consciousness and working with Gaia, the Earth, to make the necessary changes. She pointed out that humanity's survival is interdependent with all other life forms on the planet. Kathryn stressed the importance of daily engagement with the Earth, including working with the land, to help rebalance the planetary systems and preserve life on the planet.

Summary
Biodiversity, Symbiosis, and Thermodynamics
Kathryn and Alpha had a comprehensive discussion about their backgrounds and interests. Kathryn shared her studies in living systems and interest in systems thinking, while Alpha talked about their work at Stable University and with the Climate Water project. They discussed the impact of biodiversity on water and the environment, with Alpha explaining the role of different species in the food web. They also touched on the Daisy world model and the cycle of nutrients. Kathryn found the discussion enlightening and emphasized the crucial role of biodiversity in environmental management. They further touched on the concepts of symbiosis and ecologies, leading to a discussion on the interplay between organisms and the environment. Kathryn concluded by expressing her belief that all life is crucial and contributes in ways not yet fully understood, suggesting a connection between their discussions and his work on the fourth principle of thermodynamics.
Thermodynamics, Order, and Life's Energy
Alpha and Kathryn discussed the concept of entropy and order in thermodynamics, with Alpha explaining that an increase in entropy ultimately leads to a more audit state. They also explored how this concept applies to life, with Kathryn suggesting that life might be about creating order out of chaos. Alpha further elaborated that life, like a highly ordered system, requires energy to maintain itself. The conversation concluded without a clear resolution, but with a shared interest in the interplay between energy, order, and life.
Life-Enhancing Actions and Sustainable Practices
Alpha and Kathryn engaged in a discussion about the interconnectedness of life, the role of plants in generating rain and increasing biodiversity, and the potential application of this concept to address global warming. Kathryn emphasized the need to shift focus towards more life-enhancing actions, while Alpha extended the metaphor to economic activity, highlighting the need for more diverse and sustainable practices. They both stressed the importance of focusing on diversity and life in their work, and Alpha suggested a shift towards focusing on the growth of living systems. Kathryn expressed a preference for working with plants over robots, and they explored the concept of growing houses as a way to enhance life.
Ecosystem, Water, Climate: Education and Replenishment
Alpha and Kathryn discussed the importance of understanding the ecosystem on land, particularly in relation to water cycles and climate. Alpha shared their work with the Climate Water Project & Regenerative Water Alliance, which aims to educate & raise awareness about the interconnectedness of water and climate systems. She invites others to join her in the "coming home" project, which involves loving life and rediscovering engagement with it.
Summary
Global Uncertainty and Violence Concerns
Kathryn expressed concern about the increasing violence and uncertainty in the world, citing examples such as the conflict in Ukraine and Gaza, political divisions in the United States, and natural disasters like those in Tennessee and the Philippines. She emphasized the anxiety and fear caused by these events and the resulting desire to cling to familiar ways.
Love, Life, and Adaptation: A New Perspective
Kathryn discussed the need to adapt to new situations and learn new skills, emphasizing the importance of love and life. She argued that love and life are intertwined, and that being alive involves a desire to be alive. She highlighted the need to support life and become a partner with it, suggesting that this would help mitigate feelings of anxiety, despair, and anger. Kathryn also differentiated between non-attachment, which involves curiosity and allowing things to unfold, and detachment, which means not caring or being engaged. She suggested a shift from a human-centric to a life-centric perspective and invited others to join her in the "Coming Home Project,” which involves loving life and rediscovering engagement with it.

Interview: Daan Gortner from GaiaNet
In this one hour interview, Daan shares his journey and the creation of GaiaNet. His and his wife's dream of over 100 cities of light is being brought to life slowly. Daan explains GaiaNet and how it works to develop the quality of relationships need to attain that dream. I came away very impressed with the effort they have put into their governance structure. I believe that this provides a model for others attempting a more egalitarian governance approach. Taking the time to develop relationships is new to most of us, and it presents a big hurdle to many.

Cari Taylor Interview: One Living System
All Actions Create the Conditions that Support Life
This podcast is a discussion about a deeper understanding of the value/pattern, All Actions Create the Conditions that Support Life. The beginning is a story, about Skywoman, as told by Robin Wall Kimmerer, in the magazine Minding Nature.
These values/patterns are from the card deck: Earth Values: The Ethics of Living Regeneratively. You can help make these cards available by contributing to the Indiegogo fund striving to get them printed. Visit: https://igg.me/at/Earth-Values-Cards/x#/ to participate.
What Does Earth Want?
Based on over 20 years of research with scientists, systems thinkers, poets, futurists, indigenous wisdom; these values/patterns seem consistent. These patterns show up as ways in which Gaia ensures Life thrives on this planet. I'm sharing the four intents and the 16 values/patterns with you, but that's not enough. How do you make these yours? How do you begin to live from this framework? I've created a deck of cards to help with remembering focusing, and reflecting on these values so that you can begin to actually live them. The cards are available in digital format on Deckible (Android and IOS) for download. There is also a link on my webstie: https://bridgetopartnership.com/tools/. If you want to help get them printed, then please visit https://Indiegogo.com and search for Earth Values. Your support means a great deal!
Overshoot
How bad is it? This podcast looks at what we currently know about the state of our planet - that's the bad news. I also bring resources and a to-do list. The changes are not going away, but there are things we can and must do to address the new state of our world.
Making Humans
What does autopoiesis tell us about humans? What are we, as humans? How would acting on this new understanding impact how we make our world? Discover the new information science has to tell us about our selves, and think more deeply about what we can do to make the change nature/Gaia, is calling us to.
Self-Making World
Autopoiesis - the scientific word for self-making. Discover how fundamental this is to our world and how profoundly it shifts almost everything we know. From quantum physics to biology autopoiesis, self-making, is fundamental to life!
Earth's Alive
Of course, the Earth's alive - but is she her own being? How would we know she is a being? What difference would it make? How important would that be to us? In this podcast, I explore the answers to these questions, and present a framework to help us humans shift into healing the illusion there is a split between us and nature, and begin to see some of the ways we actively maintain that illusion. Getting un-entangled from that illusion is a huge step in the next stage of our journey to wholeness!
What is Earth Asking?
Consider that the Earth is ALIVE. As a live being, what is she asking? Certainly the changes suggest a conversation, as does the pandemic, but WHAT is she asking? Once we understand the conversation - how will we respond?
