Emeroy has been seeing an entity at Lauren's place. What did it want? A battle, perhaps?

It was probably a good thing Noelle's family moved out of that house.

We've all heard the stories of kids seeing things that adults can't. Do you remember seeing things that weren't supposed to be there as a child?

If Max can't be haunted, what's an entity from another plane to do?

In this episode, the cast shares what they would do if their kid told them they saw a ghost. Emeroy shares a recent experience he had at 3AM and Noelle shares ghost experiences she had growing up. The group discusses movies that scared them and the real horror: reality and being an adult.

The kids are the future, and we want them to succeed, but at what cost? At some point we just have to let them be kids. Or else they grow up to be teens that would look up from their homework and realize they don't have friends, or worse, workaholic adults that won't have time for friends or loved ones.

One day, you're too cool to tell someone you like them, the next day, you're thirty and you're doing all the corny lovey-dovey things you swore you would never do. That's love. Lean in. You can't fight it.

While most managers and employers look at remote work as "less than" compared to working in the office and have only reluctantly offered a hybrid model as an option, some people don't even have much of a choice but to work in person even if they wanted to work remote.

We've been saying it since 2020:
Let people decide if they want to come back and work at the office or not.

When 2020 happened, people have been "forced" to adapt to remote work. Those who have EXCLUSIVELY worked on-site have had a hard time, especially managers who prefer to micromanage their employees. They themselves adapted and found software that allows them to do so to their remote workers.

The housing market in Los Angeles, as we all know, is a nightmare. Ahead of Max flying back in to go apartment-hunting, they have been looking  online and compiled an ongoing list. It's much too early, but we wanted to get an idea of what we're in for.

Max and I have both pondered how different our lives - together or apart - could have been had we made different decisions through our lives.

With Max's moving day slowly becoming more definite and getting closer, the topic of cohabitation - whether it's with just us as a couple or with Lauren as a polycule - and being able to have our own spaces came up.

While we all love being together, we cherish our "me time".

Max had a nightmare of an experience on their flight to Los Angeles. Stressful enough, but having to learn choreography through video after not learning choreography at all for 15 years on the plane? YIKES.

Max got a pretty good taste of what a busy time period is like for me. Work during the day, dance at night.

FIFTEEN YEARS of not being an active dancer, and Max got thrown into a performance. How did their first rehearsal go?

We have returned! Max visited for 3 weeks recently and it was during a super busy three weeks. So busy, we couldn't even film an in-person episode!  For this episode we discuss:

Most of us love a good rom-com, or anything portraying some sort of onscreen romance. Some of those we aspire to have. But what those onscreen romances don't prepare us for is the post-honeymoon phase part of the relationship, where it gets REAL.

Max and I talk about how our relationship is post-honeymoon phase, and how doing the "right thing" for your partner sometimes isn't pretty or convenient.

Therapy CAN be expensive. Therapy CAN cost more than just money. But to Max, finding the right reasons to invest in their mental health makes it all worth it.

It wasn't exactly fate or destiny that brought me and Max back together all those years ago. How we got to where we are now in our relationship and our own lives, wasn't a fluke either. We both consciously made life-changing decisions. Making those choices and the resulting changes may have been jarring at first, but here we are, and we couldn't be any happier; polyamory and all.

Things and sometimes people make us feel angry. It's something not a lot of people enjoy feeling. Also, not everyone wants to be around an angry person... but it happens.

When it does happen sometimes it takes ME a while to get out. Max shares  how they get out of that state of mind quicker so it doesn't fester.

The movie Turning Red really brought up some not-so-pleasant memories for Max and some parental concerns for me.

Listening to your children is important for your relationship with them, and for their development as a person.

Max and I discuss what actors have to go through to get the physique "worthy" of a superhero role.

Growing up being the only "female" child in a Filipino household, Max understands the pressure Mei (Turning Red) and the Madrigal Children (Encanto) feel to be the "perfect daughter" (Alexa, play "Reflection" from Mulan)

While being the "reliable one" may feel kind of nice, the inevitable pressure coming from all sides will definitely test you.

Settling a conflict with other people involves TALKING ABOUT IT. Talking about it is the sucky part, but that's what needs to happen.

When our parents told us "You'll understand when you're older", we rolled our eyes and said "yeah okay". In our 30's, damn mom was right.
