Husband and Wife Presley & Karamea Matthes tragically lost their son Keenan on April 20, 2017 to a train accident at a pedestrian crossing in Ranui, Auckland. Keenan went for a morning run wearing noise cancelling earphones when the train struck him at the crossing. The Ranui couple now are behind the ONE EAR OUT campaign to spread awareness to the public of the dangers of train crossings when using headphones.

On January 26, 2020, a helicopter crashed in Calabasas, Califonia killing 9 passengers including retired NBA superstar Kobe Bean Bryant and his 13 year old daughter. We on the 135 bus love the game of Basketball and grew up with Kobe through the late 90s and 2000s. This episode is a tribute to the Black Mamba and we reminisce about his career as an NBA player and how he touched each of us through his championship years and his short retired years.
