 Join us to learn more about the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy award that our bilingual and biliterate students can receive upon graduation from BCPS. Hear the perspectives of three Western School of Technology students who have earned this prestigious award, as well as the French teacher from the Western Tech World Languages department. Listen as Ashley McCarthy, Supervisor from the Office of World Languages, leads a discussion about the importance of earning this award, and learn about current Seal recipient’s suggestions for other BCPS students to prepare for taking the required assessments.

Be in the know as it relates to FAFSA Simplification facts and tips!  Join Mark Gay, Director of the Office of Financial Aid at the Community College of Baltimore County, as he shares updates to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid also known as the FAFSA and offers tips to successfully navigate the financial aid process. 

Students from BCPS who participate in the Outstanding Young Women’s Leadership Program (OYWL) at Towson University are assigned a group project that aims to benefits their schools and communities. As part of the program, some of the OYWL students decided to create a podcast with the objective of raising awareness about mental health symptoms and warning signs among students. The podcast also includes personal stories, discussions on coping strategies, and information about available resources in our area and BCPS schools.

Compliance in the Department of Special Education
