In marketing, everything comes down to returns. What we need to realize is that we are fighting for attention, and attention doesn’t always translate to immediate returns. Your brand needs to be recognized as the guide in the industry, the one that helps the customer solve their problem. If your market doesn’t know about you, how can they find you as a guide? Brand recognition should ALWAYS be your foundation in your marketing tactics and the best way to do that is to present yourself to the world through captivating content. This is where that value comes in, what are you saying/doing/showing that is going to catch the eye of a potential customer down the road? Your content in any awareness campaign should tell people who you are, what you do, why you do what you do, and what they’re missing out on if they don’t use you!

These are going to be small at first- “I want to get 100 new followers across all my social media channels.” Next would be “I want to provide valuable content to my audience.” Gradually your goals will grow and build off of each other, but they will always provide a road map for your investments and efforts. As you progress with you’ll need to invest effort in each of the different areas- putting all your energy in just one area will not help you see the same success.
