This podcast is a little different as we recorded it as a Facebook Live (so much fun!) so we had real-time interaction from our viewers which was super cool!
Katie is based in Tamworth NSW and is a wife, mum, business owner, anxiety/pts survivor, speaker, educator and the founder of Katie Godden Coaching, your calm and courage coach.
In her own life, Katie has discovered that courage doesn’t mean we’re never afraid, but instead that courage is simply taking action, even in the face of fear and uncertainty. And now she's helping clients to unleash their dream lioness, expand their comfort zone and help them take the steps necessary to make those goals a reality.
Katie believes (just like me!) that we’re all on a journey of personal development and discovery and wants as many people as possible to join in on this phenomenal experience. Katie never realised the power of looking within for the solutions and to take the chaos out of life.
Christoph, the brains behind Townnlife Magazine, our very own online magazine is my guest on this episode and for those of you who live in the Gunnedah region, I’ve no doubt you’ve seen his face around town, capturing beautiful moments to share with our local community to keep everyone in the loop of the amazing things happening in our town.
Christoph is usually the man behind the lens but today he’s front and centre, sharing his journey through life from growing up in the Austrian Alps, living and working through Europe, Canada and now Australia. Christoph’s intelligence, wisdom, creativity and worldly knowledge always shines through when we connect and today’s talk is no different.

Lach McClymont was born and bred at Goondiwindi on the QLD border and from a young age has always had a love of the land and animals. Lach is now based at St George, just down the road where he has his own property. Along with taking care of his own land, Lach spends 6 - 8 months of the year mustering cattle in the top end of Australia. Catching wild bulls and living amongst some of the most remote areas of this country is hard for most of us to comprehend but for Lach, this is just the norm.
I first heard Lach on ABC’s Conversations, sharing his stories of the wild west but what I didn’t expect to hear from this ringer was his willingness to invest time into himself to grow and evolve. You could imagine how my ears pricked up when Lach started speaking about different personal development courses he’d been to, and the difference it had made in his life. "How good is this!" I thought to myself! "A down to earth, hard working, country guy spreading such an important message".
From this moment I knew I needed to learn more so reached out to Lach, and a couple weeks later I found myself once again in awe of this incredible man.

When is this victim shaming going to end? Domestic Violence is NOT ok and in my mind, anyone who shames a victim is condoning the abuse. "Why did you stay?" people ask as if staying meant they deserved it. Wake up fool! NO ONE deserves it.
On this first episode of 2019 Lucy Doubleday from Inspired Health Collective is joining me. Lucy is a fully qualified personal trainer with a passion for women’s health and wellness. Lucy’s time within the industry has gifted her with experiences in different fields of education both personal and professional, that have enabled her to develop her philosophy on health within the industry.
Lucy knows that no two bodies are the same, each of us are unique, we have our own blueprints, different genetic makeups and different psychological behaviours which is why Lucy takes an individualised approach to her coaching.
Lucy is passionate about educating women on proper exercise techniques and helping her clients to overcome resistance to change by using a structured approach (and I can vouch for this!). Lucy’s aim is to support her clients to figure out what they want to achieve and what has been stopping them from doing so. She then works with her clients to create a plan for action and her focus is to empower facilitation rather and prescription.

On this episode I have Ali Zeck from Kansas joining me and Ali’s story which she is going to share with us, is one of the most incredible stories of recovery from mental illness I have ever heard. Ali was first diagnosed with bulimia and over exercise when she was at College and this was the beginning of a horrific 20 plus years of struggling with mental illness, going on and off medications, several suicide attempts and extended stays in hospital and psychiatric facilities.
Fast forward to 2016 where Ali started working with holistic Psychiatrist Dr Kelly Brogan and by making some simple lifestyle changes, removing a few things from her diet and healing past trauma Ali is now 100% medication free and has completely turned her life around. So much so in fact, Ali is now a health coach for Dr Kelly Brogan’s Vital Mind Reset program where she helps others struggling with mental illness to create healthy change in their life.
