Raymond (Ray) L. Singleton, 72, of Pulaski, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023. He was my father's best friend and he taught me how to be a provider in many practical ways that deserved an episode to capture for future generations. His obituary is below:

He was a member of Unity Christian Church in Radford. Ray was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and baseball. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl G. Singleton, Sr.; his mother, Evangeline H. Singleton; and a brother, Michael A. Singleton.

He is survived by his son, Jedidiah (Jed) L. Singleton and wife Callie and a much loved granddaughter, Rory; two brothers Don (Kay), and Earl, Jr.; and many other relatives and friends.

To brotherhood and friends who stick with you through the ups and downs of life. Enjoy this special provider legacy spotlight on our dear family friend, Raymond.

My guest today is Bree Gordon who specializes in working with seniors with Neurodegenerative Disorders, oncology patients and trauma survivors of all ages. She is an accomplished public speaker on topics of music therapy, intergenerational connection, trauma-informed care and business coaching. Bree is also the owner and Director for Creative Arts Therapies of the Palm Beaches and hosts the podcasts The Mindful Mentor. 

In addition to her clinical work as a music therapist, Bree has been an active volunteer and advocate for senior rights for the past 15 years, including advocating at the Florida state capitol. She has spoken at conferences for the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Florida Adult Day Services Association and several national and regional American Music Therapy Association events. Rachel Meadows is a family nurse practitioner and founder of Restoration DPC in Roanoke, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Radford University and a Master’s degree in nursing from Old Dominion University. She has over 16 years of experience and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including hospital pediatrics, urgent care, emergency care, and family medicine. With a lot of prayers, a timely word from a leadership coach, and a courageous spirit, Rachel recently decided to start her own practice. She encourages us all to value our health and to use our passions for our community throughout this conversation.

When Rachel is not caring for her patients she is with her husband, Scott, on the pool deck watching her two girls swim with their year-round swim team.
