A mission supported with a strong strategy that is measured and evaluated creates:
A clear path to high performance for your company. A sense of focus for the leaders. Improves brand awareness for the customer. Gives defined goals and feedback to the employees.
Regardless of whether your business is a small start-up or one of the biggest players in your industry, a mission gives a foundation for the organization to stand on. The business strategy is how the business will achieve success throughout the year.
In the Become More Podcast we are going to dive into the components of a business strategy.
We are addicted to busyness. A busy career, family life, and volunteering.
Everyone has a busy schedule. We get through our week and feel we accomplished something. We focus on actions that keep us busy but are avoiding life’s reality and choices.
Why? Because it is hard.
It is much easier to stay busy and avoid life’s hard questions. But, at the end of the day, you will fall short of achievement.
Your marriage will be average. The connection with your children will be weak. Burnout will be prevalent. And, you will not meet your purposeful goals.
I hope you can take the tips from the Become More Podcast and begin to make changes in your life.
We will never stop comparing ourselves to others. This instinct to compare helps us seek certainty, purpose and significance- so it is just a part of our life.
But, if you find yourself in a comparison that is inflating your ego or becoming toxic for you, refrain from doing it. It’s not serving you.
This week in the Become More Podcast you are going to learn to stop comparing yourself in a toxic way but using comparisons to identify your uniqueness; define your identity; create significance; and celebrate others.
With enough self-awareness, you can eventually learn to use that comparison not to unfairly tear yourself down or artificially build yourself up, but to learn and grow.
Fear is greatly misunderstood. It has been a dream killer and soul squelcher for so many. We have become masters of mediocrity and creators of complacency because of fear. These are not badges of honor my friends.
No matter what you want to explore, change or move, you will face fear. In the journey of life, fear will creep in if you are moving on the path toward your dream. Those who don’t face fear are not moving, exploring or doing anything. They are stagnant.
In this podcast- you are going to learn that fear is a great indicator and how you can transform the idea of fear to serve you and lead you to success.
Anything done by a standard or an acceptable amount will not result in success. When you become complacent, too comfortable or decide to coast in your life, career or business, you are risking a downward spiral.
If you are okay with average and are okay with doing what everyone else is doing, you are putting yourself at risk of failure.
Hear me out.
This is why people have failing marriages, businesses, careers, and health. We are giving average attention and getting average results.
Why not crush average and seek more?
It is time to change your commitment to average and seek extraordinary results.
If you want to learn how to achieve more in any area of your life and are done with SMARTER Goal- listen in to this podcast.

Many of us want to protect their ego, so we take great steps to hide any hint of vulnerability.
No matter what happens, we want to have all the answers, ensure it is all figured out, avoid any criticism, and hide from naysayers. We believe the very slightest hint of vulnerability would cause others to see us as weak, so we avoid it at all cost.
Women- this is BS!
You should welcome vulnerability. Yes! Welcome vulnerability with open arms!
In this weeks Become More Podcast, we are going to learn why we should be more vulnerable; about women who rumbled with vulnerability to make a difference; and how you know you are vulnerable.

The ability to set goals and make plans with a winning attitude is imperative if you want to be a woman leading a successful life and businesses. The payoff for setting goals and making plans is being able to choose the kind of life you want to live. So why do so few women set goals?
According to research: Less than 3% of Americans have written goals. Less than 1% review and rewrite their goals on a daily basis.
Though, having written goals and reviewing them daily has shown to lead to successful achievement.
The reasons why people don’t set goals have been of considerable interest to me. I think that there are 5 reasons why women don’t set goals.
Join me to learn why you may not be setting goals and how you can begin to set goals to make a difference in your life.
It is imperative that women contribute to society with individuality and courage. Women are leaders in the household; in the workplace; in the churches; in the communities.
Now is the time for women to realize the importance of their contributions and step up with courage.
The following quotes are from women who lead the way for us to be brave and step into the women we were meant to be.

Do you have a place you calendar your kids schedules?
Then, a place to plan your work projects?
Do you have sticky notes for to do lists?
Have you used a notebook for your goals and reflections?
Bullet journaling, also referred to as Bojo, has become a very popular way for women to organize, set goals, reflect and become more productive. It is not just a tool for planning or calendaring, but it is a system that incorporates planning, reflecting and intentionally living your life.
We are going to talk more about why you should bullet journal and how to start!
As we have been weeks into social distancing imposed by the COVID-19 virus, I have heard stories of people watching hours of Netflix and Youtube. Unable to spend time with loved ones in person, we are immersing ourselves in technology.
I am going to be frank and say, this is not good for our well-being. We are social creatures and need connection.
So, how can we connect yet remain apart?
I am going to propose an old concept. Letter writing.
Think of the last time you received a letter. How did you feel?
In this podcast we are going to discuss 5 reasons you should write a letter.
Creating goals and plans for the future is fun. Sorting out our dreams and generating ideas of how to accomplish those dreams can be thrilling. The thought process and planning can be energizing.
But, often the goals, plans, dreams and ideas of the future seem to lay dormant in the mind or in a journal. The ideas you created do not have a follow through or an initiation at all.
How can you make the goals, plans and dreams for your future a reality?
Instead of planning, begin doing.
In this weeks podcast we discuss how you create an action mindset for success.
We spend a lot of time engineering our lives to avoid a set-back or failure, but the best kept secret of successful women is to not escape or avoid failure. Instead overcome the adversity by looking in the face of the fatal blows, closing your ears to the critics, believing in your abilities, and take one step at a time.
I get it! This is not easy. But, I want to share that successful women take an approach as Stoics.
What is a Stoic?
“A Stoic is someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into transformation, mistakes into initiation, and desire into undertaking.”
In this weeks podcast, you are going to learn more about how successful women overcame failures with a stoic attitude.
If you want to read more about this, go to the Become More Blog!
I have found that women hold back pursuing their goals and dreams due to self doubt, other people's opinions, and fear. It is time to stop compromising yourself, measuring yourself to others expectations or thoughts, step into courage and start improving the world.
You have gifts, talents, dreams and a purpose that should not be pinned up in a cage. It is your time to be brave and let open the door to your true self.
In this Podcast I discuss quotes that will build your confidence and courage to be you.
Many of us grew up being told to turn the other cheek, do not rub anyone the wrong way, just bite your tongue, and do not make waves.
I don’t think that any of us are trying to be difficult, but are exhibiting our confidence, are challenging the status quo, and are standing up for what we believe. Even if it means we are not getting the popular vote. We are leading!
I am excited to share this message with you on my Podcast this week- Let's break some rules!

As barriers arise, we feel failure and do not see how we can use our gifts given to us by God. And, we sometimes fall short of improper reactions to our situation.
In this Podcast, I want to share with you some amazing words that I hope inspire you during this difficult time.

Research tells us that the number one reason people say they don’t exercise is due to lack of time.
Well, with many people at home now due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there is plenty of time to add exercise to the day.
So, why haven’t you jumped into an exercise program? Further research tells us, though we say time is the factor, the real reason we don't exercise is our desire to avoid discomfort.
In a nutshell, it is saying that it is hard to do something uncomfortable, even if we get a benefit later.
So, why can’t exercise be fun?
I think it can be! Especially if you are looking at ways to engage your children in the activity.
In this Podcast, we are going to talk about four fun ways to exercise at home with your kids.
Achieving goals is difficult for a couple reasons:
1- You do not understand that goals are structured by a series of habits.
2- You are attempting too much too soon, which is setting you up for failure.
Let’s break both of these points down in greater detail in this weeks Become More Podcast.
If you want to achieve goals this year in your life and business, you need to listen to this!
Becoming a high achieving leader takes a focused effort. High achieving leaders ensure they are doing these four things:
Goal journaling and purposeful planning.
Have a personal mission that guides them.
Do not allow circumstances to overcome their life.
Continue to plant the seeds of growth and development.
I have learned from so many great thought leaders over the years. They seem to create word-smith sayings that can invigorate you to do more and become more.
These amazing quotes share the 4 focuses of a high achieving leader:
Turnover is one of the highest costs to a company and is eroding our organizations today.
Unfortunately, some organizations are so focused on engaging dollars in the recruiting efforts, but are not looking at ways to decrease the turnover as a way to improve the bottom line.
Motivating employees through appreciation needs to be a new focus for organizations to decrease the cost of turnover.
Authors, Chapman and White have discovered there are different languages of workplace appreciation, and the impact of knowing and understanding these languages can have a positive impact on employee satisfaction through appreciation.
Let’s discover 4 of the Languages of Appreciation to improve satisfaction and decrease turnover in your workplace.
Most women do an amazing job ensuring their kids eat healthy and are getting movement, but forget about themselves at the same time. They are neglecting their nutritional needs making them prone to fatigue and tiredness.

You get hangry! You feel cranky, hungry and have no energy.

You may be looking to improve your energy and mood, combat stress or PMS, boost fertility, enjoy a healthy pregnancy, or ease the symptoms of menopause, these tips can help you to stay healthy and vibrant throughout your ever-changing life.

I did not always value journaling, and for many years I misunderstood how to journal. I thought journaling was recording what happened throughout my day and recording my feelings and emotions.
This did not excite me. In fact, my days and emotions are pretty dull- so why write about them? Well, I didn’t.
But, a few years ago, I began to wonder why visionary leaders like Charles Darwin, Mark Twain, and Albert Einstein kept a journal?
I found these visionary leaders took time to reflect. By writing what they were learning, their goals and achievements, and their thoughts, they had a way to document their ideas and perspectives.
I realized these extraordinary leaders were focused on learning more, doing more, seeing more, and understanding more. So, it was important they slowed down from the fast-pace of life and actively engage in the ideas they encountered.
Now, that excited me, so I began to journal.
