My husband and I found that we have our best discussions about life, love, and the myriad of topics associated with relationships when we are laying in bed. Something about being in the bed calms the spirit and makes it difficult to be contentious about any topic, even the highly charged ones. This is our podcast for you where we have real, honest, and straightforward discussions about relationships, love, and life.
Bedtalks Episode 63: Should I Stay or Go? - A Discussion with Break up Coach, Natalia Juarez
"Even with good communication, a relationship may not work." In this week's Bedtalks podcast, we speak with Break up Coach, Natalia Juarez. I like this quote because we are often told if you have good communication with someone you have a chance to make the relationship work. Here's the truth of the matter. Even with great communication, it doesn't guarantee you and the other person in your relationship are meant to be together. K & I explore this topic with Natalia Juarez a nationally recognized Break up Coach. We discuss the following: -How do you know if you should stay or leave a relationship? -How does your attachment style affect how you connect/disconnect from a relationship? -Compatibility based dating and how this can shift the relationships you choose -How time + action heals wounds -The danger of the one-sided relationship Listen in and let me know what you think. Bedtalks Episode 62: The Hard Truth About Relationships - An Interview with Antwain Jackson
"Iron sharpens iron," is a commonly known phrase. But, often when the sharpening happens between two people in a relationship, inevitably one party may feel like ending or exiting the relationship. The hard truth about relationships is that when two people come together with their own individual standards, it can be difficult to learn how to bring those standards together to create a long-lasting partnership. When a relationship is highly weighted on one individual versus the couple collectively, this imbalance can create some significant challenges in the relationship in the long term. However, when you know what is likely to happen and how you can navigate these things proactively, you can shift your perspective and learn how to embrace and work through these moments. The hard truth about relationships is a lot of inner work has to happen in order for you to be steady in a relationship. Without doing this inner work, it's likely you will experience similar cycles following you in your other relationships. This is one of the reasons why we were excited to speak with Antwain Jackson. Antwain Jackson is many things, a Pastor, Leader in his community, Speaker, Author of the Creative Leader Book, and someone who counsels many single and married individuals on dating, love, and relationships. His authenticity, raw honesty, and ability to say what others have shied away from saying made for an interesting conversation. K & I thoroughly enjoyed this eye-opening conversation and we think you will too! Please listen to this episode and if you like what you hear, subscribe to future episodes of the Bedtalks Podcast on the Anchor App, iTunes, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms where you can listen to us. We like to hear from you too! Please share your comments and send us a message on what you think and what you'd like to hear too! Until next time, XoXo

Bedtalks Episode 61: Why Do You Run from Love (or Self-Sabotage?) - An Interview with Denai Morari
Hi Y'All- We're thrilled to be talking to Danai Maraire. Danai is a well-respected couples coach. She works with everyday couples like you and me as well as celebrity clients too. Denai feels her calling to help others navigate their relationships is tied to the meaning of her name. Her name means "to love each other." Many are running from love while trying to find it at the same time. At the same time, others tend to self-sabotage their relationships. Fear around surrendering to vulnerability, while not recognizing the possibility for love stops many from the journey to connect with another person in a meaningful way. While a lack of trust, fear of being open, and a belief system that vulnerability is a weakness are the culprits, there are ways to flip these so that you shift your relationship trajectory. On the other side of learning how to navigate and explore these feelings are true connection and intimacy when you are in the right relationship. Danai, myself, and K explore this during this bedtalks episode. Listen in as we explore the thing that many of us are running from is the thing that we may need the most. Second Act: Life, Love & Relationships: An Interview with Karyn Pettigrew
We are living in a time where we are being forced to take a time-out, be reflective, and re-prioritize what we thought might have the most important. During this time K and I think it's important to inspire us to be aware of the current events which are happening and to also use this time to bring on guests and discuss topics that will encourage you to your greater purpose. Honestly, things are scary now and the events unfolding are unprecedented. However, they also present a unique time to re-evaluate, re-focus and re-energize. Out of scarcity and turmoil, often comes great ingenuity. Please listen in as K and I interview Karyn Pettigrew CEO and Founder of Zoe Goes and Beyond Blind Spots - Karyn has a special story that will resonate with you. She discusses how she learned to lean into her inner voice and intuition as she shifted from Corporate life into Entrepreneurship. Her company Zoe Goes was designed to create sustainable fashion with high-quality clothes that are easy to wear. It's fashionable wear for moms, and easy for those of us who travel frequently with just a carry-on. But, yet her clothes will appeal to those of you who want to be fashion-forward without having to overthink your wardrobe choices. Karyn has also expanded her to work to develop an organization to help others live a life that is tied to their personal and spiritual purpose. This interview is both eye-opening and inspiring! Listen in and let us know what you think. And please remember to subscribe to future episodes of the Bedtalks Podcast on the Anchor App, iTunes, Google Podcasts, and Spotify. Until next time, XoXo.

Entrepreneurship and Love - What We Can Learn from the Media Takeout CEO, Fred and Notoya's Love Story
Entrepreneurship can add another layer to a relationship. The demands of running a business and being responsible for bringing in revenue for your business and employees can add additional pressure when your workday doesn't end like the usual 9-5 job role. However, entrepreneurship has its rewards too. Being enmeshed in doing something in which you are passionate, or being able to create your legacy with your trademark on your business endeavors can't be understated or underrated. There is pride in establishing and forging your pathway independently. It takes lots of grit, determination, and doggedness, but we've seen over and over again with innovative businesses that it's possible. Fred and Notoya, the founders of MediaTakeout, the urban version of TMZ have a unique story. They ran various businesses in the past and used these learnings to build additional success by carving out a voice for people of color in the entertainment space. They have worked hard to grow their business empire while also building their relationship with one another too. They have been together for 20+ years. Having a family, which includes their triplets, has continued to impact how they approach the legacy they are building for themselves and their family. If you are an entrepreneur, you will enjoy their story, their advice to building your empire, and how to keep your relationship on track during the journey. K & I thoroughly enjoyed interviewing these two, and I think you will enjoy the show as well. Let us know what you think in the comments below. Are You More Significant If You Are Married Versus Single?
We have a new episode of Bedtalks for you. This topic came to mind because K and I were having a discussion about a friend of ours who was married over 20 years who is now going through a divorce.
