Love Languages and Why They Are Important

Love Languages and Why They Are Important

The 5 Love Languages have been used by couples for many years to help with communication and keeping their relationship on solid ground. The reality is, our children have love languages, too. They need us to be aware of what they are and how to respond to them appropriately. In this episode the love languages are covered and what they look like when implemented with our children.

Fatherhood and Grief

Fatherhood and Grief

In this episode I speak with Josh Chiado, band director from Grafton, WV and Dan Luigs, host of Journey of a Christian Dad Podcast. We discuss their stories of miscarriage and how they coped with grief with their wives. They are hard stories, but necessary for us to hear as we work through the trial of losing a baby. Grief isn't spoken of enough for men. We need to be able to share our pain and work through it with each other. Being a healthy dad means being emotionally healthy as well. Work through grief.

A Heavy Heart

A Heavy Heart

The tragedy in Uvalde,Texas is weighing heavy on this nation. It’s weighing heavy on my mind and heart. We cannot stay silent and sit back while things like this occur. As parents, dads, we have a responsibility to care for our kids. Those children were our children. My heart goes out to the families who will be looking at toys in the yard this Memorial Day weekend and not celebrating the way many other families will be. It’s hard and heavy. More conversations are coming.

When it comes to choosing a college savings account, no one type is best for everyone. The above table highlights some of the major differences between the accounts most commonly used for college savings. These accounts tend to vary in terms of the potential tax benefits and the restrictions they impose on the funds invested. Be sure to consult with your tax and/or financial advisor before making any investment decision. And remember, all investing involves risk including the possible loss of principal.
