Roberto Magro - Fragility
In this episode we talk with Roberto Magro about fragility in circus arts and the beauty of not knowing what's going to happen.
Roberto is an artist, dramaturge, educator and circus director. He has his own company, Rital Brocante and he directed the Flic circus school in Turin from 2005 to 2011. He works as both an educator and director for numerous artists and companies. He was the founder of the Brocante Festival, which brings together established and new artists. In 2013 he took on the artistic direction of La Central del Circ and then, on leaving this position, he returned to his nomadic lifestyle and his work as a creator and teacher. He holds workshops in schools and arts centres in Europe and Latin America.

Sasu Peistola and Jenny Lehtinen – Embodying circus

For this episode we invited the two Finnish artists Sasu Peistola and Jenni Lehtinen of Agit Cirk. Sasu was in residence at the Berlin Circus Festival in 2017 and performed his finalised performance "Väkevä" in a double bill with Jenni and her show "Lyydia".

Antonia Kuzmanic – Cultural activism and elephants
we invited the fascinating former circus artist Antonia Kuzmanic, now driven director of "Peculiar families" festival and ROOM 100 in Split, Croatia to have a chat with us.
Antonia was circusnext laureate, jury member of circusnext, is part of the steering committee of Circostrada Network and heads her own space in Split for residencies and more.

Olle Strandberg – Blockchain and the arts

We depart from the topic of freedom and the space in between to go in detail about the new EU project The Sphere: The Sphere is a 3 year project to develop a community platform, which will enable every agent in its digital ecosystem to participate in the shaping of new organizational, aesthetic and economic forms, powered by blockchain.

Bram Dobbelaere – Selftaught in the Circus World
In this episode we talk to Bram Dobbelaere, a Belgian circus artist who is founder and artist of the two renowned companies Ea Eo as well as Pol & Freddy.

Camille Paycha - Fragile and Strong Political Performances
In this episode we talk to Camille Paycha, a Belgian circus artist who was supposed to join us at this year's winter edition with her new creation "Ice skates and other cruelties" where she works with glass in an ice rink.
Camille talks about the strength and fragility of the body itself and how she steps in the tradition of feminist performances using glass to claim their body and vulnerability back, by putting herself in uncomfortable situations of "violence". She also shares her process of creating a political, feminist performance without recreating stigma and prejudice.
