#120 The story behind a movement to help girls finish school with Maji-Da Abdi
This episode is unlike any other episode we have had on Dialed In. If this resonates with you I request that you be part of the movement Maji is creating.  Together we can bring awareness to this situation and make the world better. This problem is not just in Ethiopia but in many other parts of the world. >>>Send your two Sentences and Photo to Maji at: YOU ARE INVITED: You are invited to a Zoom meeting. When: May 20, 2021 09:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada) Topic:  EMPOWERING WOMEN ACROSS THE WORLD  - THE CONVERSATIONS! Description:  Join us for a powerful conversation about the barrier around the world that prevents women from progressing. Simple things that we may take for granted stop women and girls from getting an education, being able to break out of limiting beliefs and move everyone forward in life. Together we can make a difference. Register in advance for this meeting: After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting Maji's Bio: My name is Maji-da Abdi. I was born in Ethiopia. My childhood in Kenya was marked by endless fighting, and millions of Ethiopian refugees fleeting worldwide the dictatorship regime being rife in my beautiful country. The social context of a world with apartheid and Mandela in jail deeply encouraged my natural outrage against injustice. After my studies in Canada, I embarked on a nomadic exploration and traveled East in quest of peace, inside and out. I was nurtured by spiritual teachers and retreats, different paths who shared the same intention. I learned from Sufis and Buddhists masters as well as shamans in the Amazon forest while continuing my social activism in various ways. From covering for CNN the Ethio-Eritrean war from the war front, listening to soldiers and prisoners, to working on documentaries that influenced fairer laws against rape and abduction of girls for forced marriage. I also directed a documentary called The River That Divides, which was on women deported from the war.  I spent more than two decades in engaged cinema where women's rights didn’t roll justly. Driven by this injustice, in 2010, I created an engaged international film festival in Ethiopia called "Images that Matter” to inspire, train and encourage conscious development. My hope was to increase awareness against female genital mutilations with the premiere of the film "Desert Flower" which included panel discussions with world experts on the topic. With our current woman President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, dedicated to widening the narrow door for women I became even more motivated to do my part because the percentage of girls finishing their education is still far too low. In part, due to the limiting beliefs in regards to menstruations. I am convinced that this matter is a key issue all over the world that requires more attention. I now live in Paris with my two wonderful daughters aged eleven and thirteen. Over the last year, I have been researching from my home in Paris, since my heart intensely called me to engage in the cause. To be part of the much-needed voices speaking out against the silence of limiting beliefs in order to bring back the respect of nature and the nobleness of the blood of our life cycles. Collective intelligence, sharing, and the power of uniting are my biggest passions.  I truly believe that together everything is possible and that in the process of this enriching journey to come, all of us will achieve a human-blood-connection beyond borders.

#115 How being authentic can change EVERYTHING featuring Ashlee Branstetter
Typically I write my take-aways here but I'm going to let Ashlee speak for herself.  Ashlee has quickly become one of my favorite people! (You can't help but encouraged and inspired by her story) My name is Ashlee and I’m the owner of Ashlee Fay Designs Which is now like a shopping network... but it didn’t start off that way. 2.5 years ago I hit a Financial rock bottom of -$54. When is at down to pay bills I broke that day and prayed, I felt like God was telling me to go all in on my side gig (tumblers, shirts, bows) I reluctantly decided to try. I didn’t want to be in production forever but I felt like God was telling me that He had a plan. So I gave it everything I had. I did live sales weekly and we started to make $. But I still didn’t feel fulfilled.  One night someone asked me during a live how I got started and I began to tell them how I had made things for a decade- but I heard God say no tell them about -$54  With tears rolling I told them and I went to bed thinking I had ruined everything. The next day I woke up to tons of messages from women telling me how they felt made for more but were stuck. It was a light bulb moment for me in realizing I wanted to share my story and help other women realize their worth.   Today We have multiple warrior women that do live sales on this page and they all have a beautiful story to share to help inspire and give hope and courage. Please help them to continue to spread this and follow their passions  I love doing speaking events to teach on Facebook lives and sharing your story and I have a podcast (Embrace Your Ambition), an academy to help women start their business, and a journal on Amazon.   Now you see 54 on everything we do because it’s our sign of faith  I let God into the business and things changed for me.   I feel incredibly blessed that the women on this page took a chance on me.  And for you customers/ followed that have formed such an amazing tribe that is allowing me to be part of your journey  I am beyond blessed to have all of you as customers, followed, an army!  You have been such a giant part of this!  You have helped to give me life  No more surviving- I am living and I can’t thank you enough for helping me do that!   From -54 to 6 figures seems impossible  But GOD can and will build something out of nothing Connect with Ashley Here: Thanks for Listening - Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode! #88 How does your mindset impact your wealth? featuring Alison Brown
This is what Alison sent me when I asked what she would share with listeners. It gave me chills and I couldn't wait to talk with her. From Alison: I wrote this to sum the catalyst that started my journey of truly pursuing my role in our dreams.  This story begins as all good stories do Once upon a time...   there was a woman.  And she had a husband and 1 year old daughter.  And she had a good job.  And she had house.  And she had a car. Life was quintessentially good.  And still…  She was feeling numb.   She was feeling like she was just surviving.  She was feeling like she was going through the motions.  She had so many wonderful blessings but felt something bigger was out “there” for her and her family.  In a word she was feeling ok.  But she knew in her heart of hearts that “ok” was not a state to stay in.  Just “ok” is not a life goal.  She was reading books on real estate investing.  She was listening to positive podcasts. She was meditating and doing yoga.  She was praying and listening.  Hoping and waiting.  And yet all that doing did not seem to be making a difference.  There seemed to be no way out of “just ok” mode.  Until one day she had a simple conversation with her husband about how she didn’t want to be a cog in a wheel anymore.  She wanted to learn alongside him.  She wanted to network at events he was going to (up to this point) solo.  She wanted to level up her partnership with her husband.  She would no longer “stay in her lane” and abdicate the work of accomplishing THEIR dreams solely to HIM.  Commitments were made to investing in a mentoring program, together, as a team.  And that simple conversation - leading to a committed decision, to level up their partnership - changed EVERYTHING. She now felt empowered to learn about real estate investing on her own.  She now felt more understood and seen in her marriage.  She now recognized that working towards dreams within a partnership still means having individual goals.  She now realized that her power was not something her husband would shrink from but something that would benefit him.  If you haven’t figured it out by now – I am Alison. The “she” in this fairytale. Only it’s not a fairytale. It’s real life.  What transformation is possible for you? Connect with Alison- On social media here: Facebook:   Facebook group for ladies only: Instagram:  Saving Lives book landing page:   Sign up here for your FREE Wealth Empowerment guide: Alison Brown is a Wealth Empowerment coach and real estate investor as well as a wife, mom and Controller for a civil engineering firm. She has always been interested in learning about money, how to manage it and more recently how to make her money work for her and create more of itself.  For 20 years she has been a personal student of money and wealth creation. And since 2015 she has semi-actively learned about real estate investing and how to create a portfolio of cash producing assets. Then since 2019 she has been ACTIVELY educating herself on how to create and manage cashflow positive investments through syndication.  Her passion is to help other women become empowered around money and wealth creation. She passionately believes that every woman should confidently be able to call herself a wealthy woman and truly believe it. Thanks for listening- don't forget to subscribe ~B

I was very busy blaming other people for it.  Jeff helped me see how my crazy was untucked and work through my blindspots to begin creating a life I love. ..a life in alignment with who I was made to be.  The more we worked together, the more my life changed.  It was (and continues to be) the hardest work I've ever done but there is so much freedom in working through your crazy.  To be clear, I call it "crazy" but Jeff would refer to is as faulty belief systems and blindspots:)   When I eventually chose to leave the company where I met Jeff, I became a certified coach through his company, The Values Conversation. Helping others live into their values and creating a life that is congruent with who they are, is the most rewarding work I could ever imagine doing.  I'm just a girl sharing one of my most favorite people on this planet with YOU.   Connect with Jeff at Here's all the official info about Jeff: Jeff Arthur is the founder of The Values Conversation. A coaching and consulting company that specializes in facilitating values-based growth for both individuals and businesses. Jeff is also a sought after keynote speaker and is seen as one of the nation's preeminent authorities on leadership, team building, and executive coaching. He has been identified by Small Business Monthly Magazine as one of the "Top 100 People to Know in Business in St. Louis," and he is one of the former co-hosts of "The Smart Biz Show," a nationally syndicated radio show. Jeff works with CEOs, executives and their leadership personnel to help team members thrive through a better understanding of their personal, team, and organizational values while helping to develop the strategies that come from those values. Jeff works with executives from Fortune 100 & 500 companies as well as CEO's, presidents, and owners of medium to small businesses. Organizations that engage with Jeff thrive and see dramatic improvements in productivity, revenue, associate retention, and internal morale. Enjoy the episode:) Thanks for listening ~B P.S. #22 Big Life Series with Anna Lebaron
Anna Lebaron shares her story of becoming someone who lives a Big Life.  Anna is One of more than fifty children of infamous, polygamist cult leader, Ervil LeBaron, Anna LeBaron endured abandonment, horrific living conditions, child labor, and sexual grooming. At age thirteen, she escaped the violent cult, gave her life to Christ, and sought healing. A gifted communicator and personal growth activist, she's passionate about helping others walk in freedom. Anna lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and loves being Mom to five grown children and Yaya to a brand new granddaughter. I invited Anna to be a gust on Dialed IN! for 800 different reasons! I believe that anyone who carries around hurt and pain (which is basically all of us) can relate to her story.  Not only did she overcome a horrific start in life but she has this amazing ability to harvest the good. Anna has a great sense of humor, she seeks out the joy in life, she goes out of her way to be kind and encouraging to others.  She is a successful author and sought after speaker.  Anna also helps others market effectively with social media, launches books and has a program to help writers share their stories. She also does cross-fit which makes her a total badass! Our conversation went several direction and I know you will learn so much from Anna! Here are some key take-away's I had: 1.  Healing is possible - even with extreme trauma 2. Healing takes courage...but on the other side, is FREEDOM 3.  The coping skills we use to hide and operate with the pain we carry also provide us with the strength we need to heal. 4.  The only way to overcome is to go through. Unpack your backpack of pain/hurt.   5.  Take the first step:  Tell someone who is safe and has earned the right to hear your story or begin by writing your story out. Anna says that it's important to get the story outside of you so you can look at it differently.  >>Anna wants to know what impacted you from this podcast.  She challenged you to take a screenshot and tell her on FB or IG what you learned.. Anna on Facebook and Instagram Connect with Anna on her website and be sure to sign up for her mailing list.
