Skill Up on Making Decisions with January Donovan, Founder & CEO of The Woman School
Skill Up on Making Decisions with January Donovan, Founder & CEO of The Woman School
On this episode, I got to talk with January Donovan, the founder of the Woman School as she talks about growing her business from $0 to becoming a millionaire as a wife and mother of 8.  Check out her bio below and give us a listen:  January Donovan is the founder of The Woman School and The Wholeness Coaching  School. She is a #1 best-selling author, an entrepreneur, and a mother of 8 children. She has over 20 years of experience training women. January had a bold dream to build a school designed to train women with the practical  skills to manage their lives. She spent 15 years training women for free before  realizing that in order to reach millions, she had to learn to build a business and do so  while prioritizing her family. The business grew from 0 to a multimillion dollar company reaching 40 countries in  under three years and landing her the title as one of Forbes Magazine’s top coaches.  She then went on to found The Wholeness Coaching School where she teaches men  and women to build their own coaching businesses using mindset and skill-set training  to design every part of their life. She co-founded The Man School with her husband  and quickly expanded to The Woman School en Español. Her passion fuels her discipline as a wife, mother, and business owner because we  can’t give what we do not have. We were created to live a life of meaning and  contribution, we just need to train up for it. January believes that life without skills is hard, skills give us choices. We suffer  unnecessary overwhelm, stress, and anxiety simply because we are undertrained. We  battle feeling like a failure when in reality, the world has failed to prepare us. We can  no longer afford to hand over a generation of men and women who doubt their worth  and give up on who they were created to be. We cannot afford a life without training,  we need to skill up. She believes that it is time for our world to recognize the value of the ‘whole’ person  and not just what the culture dictates makes us valuable; we are more than our  achievements. We are in the business of valuing and integrating the whole person. Her dream is to have a school not just to empower men and women, but to equip them  with practical training. It is only then that we can create a ripple effect in our homes,  our communities, our relationships, and our careers. We change the world by changing  our interior world first. As a wife and mother of 8 children, she is fierce about integrating business and  motherhood. Our professional dreams cannot be apart from our personal dreams; we  just need to train up for them. Motherhood is an olympic sport and the gold medal is  raising children that will bring good into the world. If we want true success then we  have to train ourselves to build businesses that integrate every part of our lives

Pep Talk from Ella: Feel Fabulous for Who You ARE!
Someone asked me how I stay positive in a touch situation and how I obtain my overall happiness. Well, many will tell you that happiness is a choice and that is very true. However, my happiness comes from confidence. The confidence I have in myself and that situations get better can bring me through some tough times.  Example, I am confident that I have some good thoughts to share on the show that I can do so on basic equipment and confident that I will either get my computer back or something better. I am also confident that I love this episode.

To educate those who are suffering, Rubino wrote the book Mold Medic. In detail, Rubino advises readers how to choose a mold remediation company and the exact processes that company should be using.

Creating Connections that Count
We each have a different story in life. We all have different struggles. Many of us have a higher level of privilege than others. One thing that I believe we have all faced in our lives is wanting to be fully seen and heard. We want to be known for who we are but feel like we are judged unfairly. On this episode, I discuss lessons on what I have learned in strengthening and building meaningful relationships through your life.  For the book of the week, I most recently read "Sisters First" then remembered one common underlying theme that I read in my favorite book this year, "I Take My Coffee Black" by Tyler Merritt.  Books of the week include:  I Take My Coffee Black by Tyler Merritt  Sisters First by Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush.

A Stylish Way to Fight Human Trafficking with Dawn Manske, founder of Made For Freedom
Dawn Manske, the founder of Made for Freedom, fights human trafficking with style. She witnessed the atrocities of human trafficking firsthand during her 10 years living in China. After meeting children who were being used as slave labor and seeing a report with girls under the age of ten being sold to men she knew she had to do something to inflict change. Dawn started her social enterprise, Made for Freedom, with an idea revolving around her favorite international clothing, and the company has grown into a lifestyle brand carrying clothing, bath & body, jewelry, home goods, and more. They have partnered with over 20 restoration centers/suppliers around the world and provided over 25,000 hours of dignified employment for survivors of trafficking and those coming out of marginalized situations. Dawn’s passion, stories, and insights into the fashion industry and supply chains will not only inspire, your view of how you can make a difference will be expanded. The magic word in time, money and self-management.
The magic word in time, money and self-management.
One of the first words that you learned as a child was mostly likely the word "no" yet as we grow more empathetic, it can often be hard to say. I know with me, I never want to hurt someone's feelings, feel like I am missing out of just outright support a cause or organization about. Doing this often leads to regret.  I was inspired by the documentary LulaRich on Amazon Prime to cover this topic but this episode is in no way meant to bash anyone's ways of earning money. I have a lot of friends who do direct sales and am happy for the success they have found. I also don't believe all of them to be like the legging company. If you haven't watched, I highly suggest it but first, this podcast!

The Freedom of Authenticity
Sister Hazel, had a hit out in the 90's where the lyrics stated "if you want to be somebody else, change your mind." I couldn't agree more.  Often times in our everyday life we feel the pressure to adapt to our surroundings instead of being true to who we are. On this episode, I discuss simple practices in being who you were meant to be and fulfilling the purpose for YOUR life.  Being yourself is powerful and will overall bring about more happiness in your life.
