We (Peter, Jono & Luan) are back for Season 2 in 2021 and to kick us off with Episode 1 Grant from Final Touch Albany (New Zealand) joins us for a detailed look into car detailing and a look back across his interesting car history. We had such a good time with Grant and picking his brain for his depth of knowledge into this industry. Treat your car right with proper techniques, tools and products to get the job done. But nothing beats taking it to the professionals. 

Happy New Year! We end Season 1 with a Special Police Chat. Sergeant Vinny from the Counties Manukau Road Policing team joins us for Episode 8. And we aim to debunk some common myths (red cars more attractive to cops?) and educate the car loving public on what is happening on our roads here in New Zealand. From PA systems mounted onto cars to stretched tyres. Keep off your phones, buckle up, drive to the speed limit and don't drink and drive! Stay safe these Summer Holidays New Zealand!

The Between Axles Auckland team (Peter & Luan) and two Alfa Romeo aficionados from the Auckland (New Zealand) Alfa Romeo club join us as our special guests to talk about Alfa Romeo. From the Classics to modern day Alfa Romeos, we talk about the 'Soul' of the Alfas and if this carries through to new modern models. And it isn't necessary true that all Alfa Romeos are money-pits (gasp!). But be careful when you take someone on a hot date in a Classic Alfa Romeo! Alfa Romeos are 'obtainable' luxury performance vehicles. But should you buy one?

The Between Axles Auckland team discuss what it takes to start racing with our guest 'Racecar George'. 

The Between Axles team (Peter, Jono, Paul and Luan) discuss what its like to buy, own and maintain a Classic Car. We review Jono & Paul's Datsun 260Z from our previous Nissan chat in Episode 4 and we dive into what drove Luan to buy a 1970s Rolls Royce from Whangarei. Spoiler: it didn't quite make it back home from where he bought it! 

We also discuss some interesting Classic Car options available here in New Zealand and what are the cost of ownership including parts, servicing and labour. Top tip: learn to do some basic car maintenance work yourself and watch out for rust! Enjoy.

The Between Axles team from Melbourne and Auckland discuss Nissan for our second Brand Talk episode. Iconic and not-so iconic Nissans that we either have owned, or own or dreamed of owning. Especially the focus on the Melbourne team's (Paul & Jono) Datsun 260Z 2+2 and why they bought the car for their project. Ultimately, Nissan had some amazing years in the 80s, 90s and some of the 2000s but with their problematic CVTs, ageing fleet and recent leadership scandals hampered their reputation. Would you buy a new one?
