Brookline Public Relations is delighted to have another podcast guest who makes us #BPRProud. For the third episode of Season 4 of the Beyond PR Podcast, we welcomed Chef Nicole Gomes, the first female winner of Top Chef Canada, Season 5 All-Stars, co-founder and owner of Cluck ‘N’ Cleaver, and chef extraordinaire.  

Born in Richmond, British Columbia, Chef Nicole Gomes has over 28 years of culinary experience. After being classically trained at Vancouver’s Dubrulle Culinary School, one of Canada’s leading culinary schools, Chef Nicole traveled around the world to learn from different cultures and experiences. In the early stages of her career, Nicole moved to Calgary from Vancouver after landing a job at one of the city’s top new restaurants and was the first female to be hired to work in a David Hawksworth kitchen in 2000. No stranger to competition, Nicole has competed in a variety of cooking competitions, earning bragging rights for beating Bobby Flay in 2021 and winning Top Chef Canada in 2017. Nicole’s dedication, creativity and expertise have led her to be one of the best chefs in the country.

Brookline Public Relations is excited to continue having guests on the Beyond PR Podcast that make us #BPRProud. For those of you already missing the Calgary Stampede, our second episode of Season 4, we welcomed Cody Snyder, world champion bull rider and co-founder of Bullbustin’ Inc.   

Cody was the first Canadian to be crowned the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s World Champion Bull Rider in 1983 and still holds the highest score and record in Canadian rodeo history. Bullbustin’ Inc., North America’s premier bull riding event organization was founded shortly after Cody retired from bull riding, with the support of his wife Rhonda and continues to grow as a family business with his daughters Jordyn and Reese. Cody shares his bull riding story, growing up in the industry and always just wanting to ride. He applauds Calgary for how giving and supportive a city it is, and talks about the difference of riding then and now.

For the sixth and final episode of Beyond PR’s third season, Brookline PR’s Principal and Founder, Shauna MacDonald, was joined by fellow Brookliners Lisa Libin, Managing Director, Kelsey Wilson, Senior Account Manager, and Andrew Myers, Account Manager, for a very special podcast recording! In the spirit of honouring, learning and celebrating National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day, we’re grateful to welcome Chief of Enoch Cree Nation, Chief Billy Morin Nahtokitopi (Sacred Rider) Wapikihew (White Eagle), to the Beyond PR Podcast for our third episode of our third season. As the youngest Chief in Enoch Cree Nations’ modern history and the 2020 Grand Chief of the 17 First Nations within the Confederacy of Treaty Six, Chief Morin shares what it means to him to bear the responsibility of so many leadership roles. We are so excited to share that the Beyond PR podcast is BACK and to kick off our third season, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to sit down with a very special guest – Dr. Ken Parhar. Dr. Parhar is an Intensivist in both the General ICU and the Cardiovascular ICU at the Foothills Medical Center, a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Calgary, as well as the section President for Critical Care in the Alberta Medical Association. Dr. Parhar joined the podcast as we neared the two-year mark from the outset of the COVID pandemic to speak about his experiences over the past 24 months and what life has been like for our healthcare heroes on the front lines. On this month’s episode of Beyond PR, Shauna reconnects with former high school classmate turned entrepreneur extraordinaire – Jennifer Carlson, CEO of Calgary-based food company Baby Gourmet.
