The Blues Talk podcast returns with Dale Moon and Callum Denning taking a look back at the run-up to the international break.

Blues remain unbeaten after an incredible display of character to come back from conceding a penalty in the dying minutes at home to Rotherham United and a desperately unlucky end to the trip up the M6 to take on Stoke City. With the international transfer window closing, the lads discuss what tenth signing Riley McGree brings to the side. 

The fixture calendar ramps up after the international break, too, with five games in two weeks. Dale and Callum analyse the newly-acquired depth in the Blues squad before handing over to a man who knows more about it than any other.

Head Coach Aitor Karanka joins the podcast for a 40 minute chat about his illustrious career - listen out for some names you might have heard of! - and how he's finding life at Blues so far as well as his plans for the future.

As a busy summer at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium continues, Blues Talk’s Dale Moon & Callum Denning catch up with the first face through the door this summer.

Experienced defender George Friend was the first signing of the Aitor Karanka era at St Andrew’s, and fresh after making his first league appearances for the Club, he gets a Blues Talk debut under his belt, too!

Dale and Callum speak to George about his experience working under the Head Coach at Middlesbrough, arriving with familiar face Adam Clayton, and how he’s settled in to the Club so far since arriving in the West Midlands.

And, after a promising start to the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign, the lads look back on four points taken from a possible six against two previous play-off contenders ahead of a visit from a former Blue this weekend.

And finally, Dale and Callum answer the question: do they know the way to San José?

The Blues Talk podcast with Dale Moon and Callum Denning returns after a prolonged absence due to the suspension of the 2019/20 season.

With new Head Coach Aitor Karanka at the helm at Blues, and seven (or six at the time of recording!) new faces through the door, Dale & Callum talk you through the new additions, discuss their hopes for the season and take a look back at a set of pre-season fixtures that saw a trip to North London, as well as a Trillion Trophy Training Centre trio.

And, for the first time, Club captain Harlee Dean joins the podcast to preview the visit of his former side Brentford in this season's Sky Bet Championship opener, as well as reflecting on his time at the Club so far - from signing in 2017 to learning how to play in front of an empty St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium after the restart.

Dale Moon and Colin Tattum catch up with former Blues winger Paul Devlin to unearth some untold stories from a career spanning more than two decades. 'Devs' recalls some memorable moments from his two stints at St. Andrew's and takes listeners back to a time of play-offs and promotions. Having scored 35 goals in 137 appearances for Blues, Devlin reveals how he had unfinished business at the Club, why he celebrated scoring against Blues and recalls a time when the "stands were literally shaking" after a memorable 3-0 victory.

Fan favourite and tough-tackling defender, Martin Grainger, joins Colin Tattum and Dale Moon for the latest episode of Blues Talk. Grainger reflects on his nine seasons at St. Andrew's and unearths some hilarious tales from a time when tackling was an art-form. Currently working as a driver on London's train network, the 47-year-old reveals the best player he ever played with and the one opponent he simply couldn't stand the sight of.

Whilst football continues to be suspended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Blues Talk returns to keep you up to speed with everything happening at the Club. This week, Dale Moon and Callum Denning are joined by midfielder Josh McEachran. Josh talks to us about his time coming through the academy at Chelsea as the Club's youth set-up underwent drastic changes, and the various loan spells he embarked on before settling at Brentford. As well as that, we hear how his move to Blues came about and reflect on the ACL injury suffered against Coventry City in an Emirates FA Cup fourth round replay.

Despite the temporary suspension of fixtures until no earlier than 30 April, Blues Talk returns with a slightly different set-up. Dale Moon and Callum Denning are joined via Skype by Blues goalkeeper Lee Camp to discuss how the Blues first team squad are keeping active whilst training is cancelled due to the global COVID-19 outbreak, and echos Head Coach Pep Clotet's thoughts that football is not the priority at the moment. 

As well as the more serious conversation, Campy delivers the 'hotly anticipated' Blues Talk preview of WrestleMania, as well as sharing stories about some of the more memorable characters he's experienced during his time in football, including a couple of familiar faces!

This week on the Blues Talk podcast, Dale Moon and Callum Denning are joined by right-back Maxime Colin. Since joining the Club in 2017, the Frenchman has established himself as one of the top defenders in the Sky Bet Championship. Max details how his move to England, and later Blues, came about and his initial aim to become a physiotherapist.

As well as that, we take a look back on a battling performance in the Emirates FA Cup against a Leicester City side with Champions League aspirations, as well as the latest performances in an unbeaten Sky Bet Championship run stretching back to New Years Day. Dale and Callum also preview this weekend’s match against Reading and the short journey to league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

And to mark his appointment as interim head coach of Blues Women, Charlie Baxter takes on the Quickfire Questions.

The Blues Talk podcast is back! Joining us this week, off the back of a first league clean sheet since October, is on-loan centre back Jake Clarke-Salter.

Dale and Callum discuss how the likeable Londoner’s loan move to Blues from Chelsea came about, as well as some of the challenges he’s had to overcome during previous loan spells. Clarke-Salter also goes into detail about a tough start to life at Blues but explains how he set about making a starting berth his own, as well as his aims for the rest of the season.

We look back on a fantastic February so far, with Blues boasting a 100% record in all competitions since the turn of the month, despite the dire conditions they faced in South Yorkshire on Tuesday evening. We also preview a home double, with the visits of Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday to the St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium yet to come.

And it’s a big one on Quickfire Questions, as Blues head coach Pep Clotet is the latest to take on the rapid Q&A.

Dale Moon and Callum Denning’s first guest of the year is a Club legend. Former trainee, Club captain, coach, caretaker manager and current BluesTV pundit Kevan Broadhurst joins us to look back on a career that resulted in him being inducted in to the Blues Hall of Fame. Broadhurst looks back on a career that saw him join as a youth apprentice to eventually becoming captain before having to retire at the age of 24 due to injury. He also discusses his slightly unique path in to the coaching side of the game, that saw him briefly become joint Blues caretaker manager before carving out a managerial career in his own right.

As well as looking back on a mixed set of results over the hectic festive period for our sides, we’re also joined by Maikel Kieftenbeld who takes on the Quickfire Questions ahead of his long awaited return to fitness.

On this week's edition of Blues Talk, Dale and Callum are joined by 'keeper Connal Trueman. Trueman, who returned to the side after over a year's absence against Huddersfield Town, details how he found out that he was starting against the Terriers. The likeable Brummie also talks about his journey through the Club's academy system and just how much it means to play in front of a vocal St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium. 

We also look back at an unbeaten post-international break run of features, and look ahead to a hectic week including a trip to Reading and the small matter of a local derby against West Bromwich Albion in front of the cameras next Saturday.

He explains Pep Clotet’s style of play is challenging the players to be better but if it has to go into row Z  he won’t be taking any chances! We reflect on a narrow defeat at Elland Road, a tale of two halves at St. Andrew’s and preview Saturday’s visit of Luton Town. Blues new-boy Josh McEachran is the latest squad member to take on the quick-fire questions and a word of warning - he loves a name-drop!

On a week where another of Blues home-grown youngsters made his mark on the first team, Blues Talk sit down with Steve Spooner to discuss the Club’s thriving conveyor belt of talent and how, in his 14th season at St. Andrew’s, he still takes great pride in seeing a player fulfil their potential.

A former midfielder who played made over 450 league appearances, Spooner modestly reveals how he is one of many coaches who played a part in turning an under-performing academy into a flourishing one with a welcoming but hard-working environment at its core.

One of the most likable men in football, the assistant under-23s coach tackles some of the challenges facing young players today and explains why Blues is a Club which is now firmly under his skin.

Our official Club podcast returns with a look back on a successful visit to the capital to take on Charlton Athletic. With Preston North End standing in the way of a third successive victory, Dale and Callum preview a fixture that saw a 3-0 Blues win last season and remember one of the more bizarre goals ever scored at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium.

Defender Kristian Pedersen is the latest player to join us, with the versatile Dane answering some of your questions from Twitter. As well as that, there’s another edition of Quickfire Questions, and we look back on Blues Women’s start to the Barclays FA WSL season.

Gary McSheffrey joins Dale Moon and Callum Denning on the latest edition of our official podcast Blues Talk. The popular winger, now part of the under-18 coaching staff at Doncaster Rovers, discusses his move to Blues from Coventry City in 2006 and the successful season that followed, as well as much more from his four years at the Club including an honest reflection on his eventual departure.

We discuss last weekend’s match against Stoke City, and also look back on two difficult away trips to Nottingham Forest and Swansea, as well as our first home win of the season against Barnsley.

Blues Talk returns for the 2019/20 season!

To kick things off, Dale and Callum are joined by striker Lukas Jutkiewicz after he opened his account for the season. We take a look back at a promising start against Brentford and Bristol City, and look ahead to the trip to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest.

And, after a busy summer of incomings, Dan Crowley is the first of the new faces to take on the Quickfire Questions.

As the players return to the Trillion Trophy Training Centre at Wast Hills for pre-season training, Dale and Callum catch up with a a man who knows exactly what they're going through. Former captain Darren Purse, who made 200 appearances in all competitions over seven seasons, tells Blues Talk some of the lesser-known stories from his Blues days, what he's been up to since retirement, and how he kept playing til the age of 41.

Dale and Callum also look ahead to Blues' pre-season training camp in Portugal, and break down the fixture calendar following its release last week.

To mark the Women's World Cup, Dale and Callum are joined by Blues Women skipper Kerys Harrop to talk about her near-20 year stint at the Club and the changes that she's seen over the course of that time. Kerys also reflects on a season of change that saw Blues end on a high under new manager Marta Tejedor.

Blues Talk also welcomes our first new signing of the 2019/20 season, as midfielder Gary Gardner marks his newly-permanent contract by taking on the Quickfire Questions.

During the close-season, Blues Talk takes a trip down memory lane by speaking to Blues legends.

First up is former striker Dele Adebola. The fan favourite spent four years at the Club between 1998 and 2002, scoring 42 times in 152 appearances. Adebola now appears as a regular pundit on BluesTV, sharing his thoughts on Blues' performances throughout the season. 

Dele discusses his time at the Club, what it was like when a teammate became Blues manager, and how he nearly ended up playing for Northern Ireland and Wales.

In the first podcast of the close season, Dale and Callum are joined by "Dutch Mike", Maikel Kieftenbeld. Kief provides an update on how his rehab is progressing, his four years at the Club and just how close he came to departing in the summer of 2017.

Dale and Callum also review a season that provided some unique challenges for Blues, and look back on a Player Awards ceremony that saw Che Adams take home four awards, including both Players' and Supporters' Player of the Season.

And Blues Talk visits the physios' room as first team physiotherapist Dave Hunt takes on the Quickfire Questions.

Blues Talk returns for the final time of the season proper as Dale and Callum look back on survival being secured away at Rotherham on Easter Monday.

Joining them is this week's guest: Head of Performance, Sean Rush. 'Rushy' explains how he ended up moving from the world of rugby league to Blues via Leeds and Middlesbrough and gives an insight behind the scenes in to a season where a small Blues squad was pushed to peak physical performance.

To mark his return to St Andrew's to sign copies of his autobiography One in a Million at the Blues Store ahead of Blues taking on Wigan Athletic on Saturday, club legend Trevor Francis - still revered as Blues' greatest ever player - speaks to the Club's Head of Media & Communications Colin Tattum about his time at the club: nine seasons a player, and five years as Manager.

Blues Talk returns with a look back at a week that saw Blues take five points against some tough opposition.

This week, Blues assistant manager Pep Clotet joins Dale and Callum to preview the visit of his former club Leeds United to St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium this weekend. The boys look ahead to that Leeds match and a crucial one under the lights against Sheffield United next Wednesday, as well as discussing the 9 point deduction that Blues received last week, and the ramifications for the season ahead. It’s Quickfire Questions with a twist, too, as head kitman ‘JP’ takes them on.

Dale and Callum return for a second edition of Blues Talk, taking a look back at our results against Aston Villa, Millwall and Preston. To look ahead to the trip to West Brom, they're joined by two men who know both clubs better than anyone: Paul Robinson and Kevin Phillips, while Connor Mahoney takes on the Quickfire Questions.

Dale and Callum look ahead to Sunday's tantalising Second City Derby, and are joined by Blues manager Garry Monk to celebrate his 40th birthday and a year as Blues manager. Captain Michael Morrison takes on the Quickfire Questions and Dale talks about the slightly bizarre occurrence at Hull City.
