Jeremee Gant is a first time business owner with his recent purchase of a Brightway Insurance Agency in Louisiana.   Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Gant moved to Louisiana his sophomore year of high school. He is married with three children and loves spending time with his family. Gant also enjoys networking, working out, reading and cooking. 

Alex holds a BBA in Marketing and a JD from Texas A&M University and Texas A&M University School of Law, respectively. She has been licensed to practice law since 2014 and has been actively practicing as an in-house counsel since then. Her practice includes sports law, employment and corporate law, along with advising small businesses on their specific needs. She has been an in-house counsel for a famous sports family, a multinational company, various startups, and most recently, a professional sports team.  

Along with being an attorney and a marketer, Alex has worked for USA TODAY Sports Media Group's NFL Wire sites since 2016 as a journalist and content producer. She provides her unique perspective on all things NFL including national anthem policies, sports betting, DE&I, and was the first female to be hired by the NFL Wire sites. Alex was recently selected to sit on the Esports Trade Association Board of Directors and chairs the Legal & Governance Committee and was also the first woman to sit on the Board.  

In her spare time she hosts a podcast, Your Potential for Everything, that delves into topics ranging from networking to entrepreneurship to negotiating. She is a multipotentialite and interviews guests that have this unique ability to shift from industry to industry and be successful in all of them. She is a published author of The Multipotentialite's Guide series currently available on Amazon.

Mr. James Matarazzo has been in the mortgage industry since 1988.  He is a sales, business development and operations executive who has delivered outstanding results for both large and small companies including Countrywide Financial Corporation, Washington Mutual Bank, BankUnited and more recently, ran sales and operations for the East / Midwest region at PRMG. In all cases he has led sales and support teams in generating double-digit revenue increases.

James has an extensive record in areas including sales, leadership, best practices, team building, and business development in B2C and B2B environments. He has produced substantial profit growth, and improved customer satisfaction with innovative sales and training programs, enabling companies to gain a competitive edge.

For example, he grew sales and market share 50% for a multi-billion dollar organization by introducing new products. These products met the needs of the foreign market previously under-represented in the company. He also upgraded customer satisfaction levels 23% in three months by training account executives on best practices.

In another example, he integrated sales and operation divisions, standardizing policies and procedures during seven mergers in a five-year period. He successfully led the change management process while building a sales and operations staff of 100 employees and generating $300M per month.

James earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Florida Atlantic University. He is a member of the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals (FAMP) and continues to help people achieve the American Dream of home ownership.

Biz Builders with Andrew Haines | Episode #2 | Kacee Smith Brightway Insurance Agency Owner  

Kacee Smith is a Calhoun, Georgia resident of 33 years. He graduated from Georgia Northwestern Tech College with a degree in marketing and owned a Farmers Insurance agency for just under five years. With Farmers, he earned all of the awards he could qualify for and learned the Property & Casualty insurance inside-out.  

Currently Kacee is an Agency Owner with Brightway Insurance.  Before insurance, Kacee worked in professional arena football as a general manager and served as president of his local league.  

Outside of work, Kacee serves on the school board, coaches little league and is involved in local volunteer projects. He is married to Belinda and has two children: Kacedon and Kacelee.
