Season 1, Episode 9: Megan Owen
After a long break, the podcast is back with a wonderful guest: Megan Owen. She is a singer-songwriter based in Wales and happens to be my course mate in university as well. We've talked about her latest EP, 11:10 (which you can find here), sad movies, One Direction, her best friend Stacy, music that we both like...you know how it is when two girls have a laugh.
Hope you'll enjoy it and thank you for listening! :)
Season 1, Episode 8: Dan Hewitt from The Rivers
I've had a lovely chat with Dan from The Rivers! He helped me open up a bit and I have told him about my most embarrassing experience on stage, while he told me about his coping mechanisms in lockdown and we've even discussed who our favourite Beatles members are.
The song that I was referring to in the episode is: Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing), and if you haven't heard it before, here's your chance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6QKqFPRZSA
The Rivers' socials are: @therivers_uk on Instagram, and The Rivers on Facebook.
Hope you'll enjoy this episode :)
Season 1, Episode 7: Yasmine&Ellie
Season 1, Episode 6: Laura Power
In this episode Laura talked about her experiences in lockdown, her hearing difficulties, and of course, her engagement's story. Our conversation was open and honest. I hope you'll enjoy listening to it!
P.S. The videoclip that she mentions can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQAthOVYF-A and her music can be found on all streaming platforms!
Season 1, Episode 5: Gina Grigio
This episode features a local drag queen, Gina Grigio. We've had a lovely chat about her pets, lockdown, doing drag and all sorts! Tune in if you're interested in her story. Check out her Instagram under @ginagrigiodrag and her Facebook for funny and entertaining live streams and great content.
Season 1, Episode 4: Otto
In this episode I have had the chance to talk to Otto about his past year, plans for the future and his favourite songs that he likes to dance to. He's a Welsh singer-songwriter, and one of the most talented and loveliest people I have ever met! No wonder, that he got signed to Dave Stewarts' record label last year (yupp, the Eurythmics one). I suggest you listen to his music that is available on all streaming platforms, you won't regret it.
Season 1, Episode 3: Tom Auton
I had a great chat with Tom Auton in this episode about his favourite bands, why he started writing music, his opinion about local venues disappearing etc. He is a Cardiff-based singer, songwriter and producer and his recent single 'Victim of the Groove' is out on all streaming platforms! Follow him on Instagram and Facebook under @tomauton if he caught your attention. :)
Season 1, Episode 2: Emma Mae
In the second episode I had the chance to talk to Emma Mae, who is a Cardiff-based singer-songwriter. We've discussed her recent releases, upcoming music as well as her favourite food and takeaway choices, her year in 2020, future plans and lots more!
Please check out her socials under @emmamaemusic on Instagram and Facebook as well. Her EP: What it’s come to and her dark and broody Christmas single Tis the season, are both available on all streaming platforms.
Season 1, Episode 1: Tom Rees from Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard
Check the band out on their socials under @buzzardbuzzardbuzzard and listen to their music that's available on all streaming platforms. (30 000 Megabucks is my personal favourite!)

Hello, you’re listening to Zsofia, the host of Blab and Jam, a podcast about creative professionals in the music industry.
Each week I will interview someone from the local scenes and in this season, I am talking to people based in or close to Cardiff. We talk about their craft, journey, inspiration, the challenges they have faced in 2020, or even their favourite food! The goal of the conversations is to highlight the importance of local music and the people who make it all happen. Just to name a few who have already been interviewed: Tom Rees from Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Otto, Emma Mae, and a lot more people! Keep your eyes open or should I say ears, and do not miss out on their interviews! We have had a lot of fun recording them.
