The Album Exchange
This week, Kieran and Ainsley do an album exchange- we both choose two albums for the other person to listen to and discuss. Ainsley's choices were 'We Are King' by King and 'Deacon' by Serpentwithfeet and Kieran's choices were 'Dur&' by Durand Bernarr and 'Broke With Expensive Taste' by Azaelia Banks.  Our Spotlight this week is Hidayah LGBT+, a registered charity set up to provide support and welfare for LGBTQI+ Muslims and promote social justice and education about the community to counter discrimination, prejudice and injustice. It's A Sin
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past week, you'll have heard about It's a Sin- the groundbreaking five-part drama by Russell T. Davies set in 1980s London during the height of the AIDs epidemic. Kieran and Ainsley take the time to discuss the show in-depth including a breakdown of all the major plot-points, we voice our misgivings about some of the characters and reflect on the impact AIDs and HIV has our lives as queer people today and fourty years ago.  We also have a two for one spotlight in this episode.
