work, work, don't stop!

the original miss mia diamond and the lit southern belle herself, mimi navah, join me for a discussion about overworking and hustle culture. we also share horror stories about mistreatment from employers in entry-level positions. ): in a nutshell, pay black women and treat your interns like humans! rest when you need to because you are exactly where you are supposed to be and YOUR health/wellness is priority. it's okay to choose you & say no!!!! ---------------------------------------------------- FOLLOW US & KEEP IN TOUCH, SIS! me, myself, and i.

me, myself, and i.

like many others, this last year fried, dyed, and laid my world to the side. but i am making the choice to focus on the future, believe in better, and propose a different perspective to my present because i don't know of any other option(s) tbh. in my first solo episode, it was important to me to explain the purpose and intention behind 'black girl banter', and subsequently, listen to black women, but to also give insight on my year-long hiatus from creating. i'm so excited to grow with each and every one of you (especially black girls/women) who take the time to press play, to share, and to be here with me. take care of yourself because yo beautiful ass deserves it! much love, xoxo. - kiana (ig/twitter: @rebelliouskiana)

no means no.

no means no.

with the recent emergence of expose pages, sexual violence/abuse has been heavy on the minds of students, pushing some to vocalize their trauma. social media became an outlet for survivors to call out abusers and their enablers (*i love this song*). this pertinent conversation defines sexual violence & its’ terminology, dissects Title IX in relation to HBCUs, and spreads awareness on how we can protect each other.

if you have been a victim of sexual assault, rape, sexual harassment, or any other act of sexual violence (including coercion & manipulation) in the Atlanta University Center please consider filling out the form for ‘What She Said’ in @lanigrayer’s instagram bio. there is a non-victim option in the form as well. #WhatSheSaid

Black teens outline the effects of systemic oppression, share their protest experiences, define ‘Black Lives Matter’, and reflect on their lives as young revolutionaries.

“what about your friends?”

“what about your friends?”

“friends may come and friends may go,
but you should know that,
i’ve got your back. it’s automatic.
so never hesitate to call,
‘cause i’m your sister,
and always for you.”
