Cicely McClennon talks about her daughter's sexual assault by another African American youth and other negative vices within the diaspora community in Ghana including fraud , land scams , prostitution , sexual immorality , debauchery , illegal substance trade (drug trade) etc.
She also emphasizes on the need for the diaspora to come together to build and support each other instead of working individually .
She stresses on the fact that organizations like The African American Association of Ghana and others are not serving their purpose well and they need to step up their game to put in place measures to support and protect the diaspora in Ghana.

She is admitted to practice in Georgia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and for the District of Columbia.
