Whose News - Youth Reporters Recycling & Rosa Park
Whose News on PodCast for Black Pearl MarketPlace is a program of Whose Magazine? A Youth Publication is a pilot program currently based in New Orleans, Louisiana works with students from 2nd grade to 9th graders, connecting real-world experiences and assignments to youth while increasing their critical thinking, writing and cultural literacy. This New Orleans based pilot project stems from the program Executive Director & Founder, Madera Rogers-Henry. When the program began in Colorado from 1998 to 2010 where students interviewed Tiger Woods, Morgan Freeman, and Miss America, among other personalities. First-ever visit to a theatrical stage show, and traveled to Ground Zero in New York to document the 9/11 tragedy through words and photographs. Partners at the time included numerous Colorado to Texas school districts and partnered with Denver Film Society and Radio Disney. Whose News on Podcast meets twice a month and is recorded via Zoom and with our Associate Producer, Engineer & Voice Talent is Linda C. Shaw (Colorado).
