Join me for the fourth and final instalment of my project. I'll be sharing my thoughts on decolonising midwifery education. What does it mean to me? How can we do it? Why do we need to do it? This topic set me on the path I am currently on. While it can be lonely at times, I know there is value in this work. For students, for midwives, for women and birthing people and for society as a whole.

When someone learned how to read or write, it became their responsibility to teach someone else. The idea is to spread knowledge for the betterment of your community.

I'm baaaaaaack! Yes, It's been a while, but I'm kicking off 2021 fashionably late. I have no resolutions, but I do have some intentions.

In this episode find out how I've been holding up during placement (postnatal ward and neonatal unit placements are now done) and just how much the theory side of things has been kicking my ass!

I'll also be having a chat with another of my birth world heroes, Jen Muir (IG: @jen_badass_muir). Jen is the founder of The Badass Birth and is also an intersectional (yaaasss) doula educator. They never fail to bring the realness, so I hope you enjoy our discussion.

I'm diving straight in with a  rundown of my first year as a student midwife and how I've navigated this here season of 'rona. 

Parenting for me has mostly consisted of being a snack bitch to my spawn, eating secret treats  while hiding  and eyeing up that bottle of wine before midday on many days.

As it's the born day of my podcast, I thought it only right to also include an awesome birth story from my lovely guest Sarah Edwards.
