The Blue Inversion Podcast

By Blue Inversion

I started as a 3D artist at age 13, when I found the software called Blender. I kept at it for years, slowly becoming a self-taught artist. At around age 16, I became obsessed with electronic music and soon experimental obscure sub-genres. I initially used LMMS and now Bitwig. Later in 2020, I got hooked on NFTs. My love for entrepreneurship, coding and math helped me glue all my passions into one singular identity - Blue Inversion. It has always been a personal struggle for me to fit into a well defined box. So I stopped trying to. The podcast is a public journal to record my evolution.

[ARCHIVED] How I got started with Blender

[ARCHIVED] How I got started with Blender

In this episode I discuss my story - how I came to know about Blender. The format goes like this: I play a time-lapse video of my latest artwork and talk through it. I picked up the topic for this episode myself, but I plan to start incorporating questions or suggestions from the community in future.

Artwork for this episode : " do not wake him up " | Personal Work

Artwork available on ArtStation.

Things we talk about in this episode:
  1. A little bit about the show,
  2. The initial spark that got me interested as a 12 year old kid,
  3. What made me stick.
  4. Thoughts on the Blender community.
  5. What's going on with Blue Inversion these days.
Notes:

I am gonna release an artwork every weekday.

Beeple (Mike Winkelmann) has been making an artwork everyday for more than a decade now. He is a big inspiration for this. Since I am starting out with the podcast now, I hope to improve in speaking more naturally as well as getting better at making art.

If you have been with me since 2015, thank you first of all. So if you are wondering what happened to the old show SAYAN CALLING - it is still up on SoundCloud and you can listen to them. But that podcast is dead. Blue Inversion Podcast, i.e. this one is the primary podcast now. Interviews, if any will be on this podcast.

Shout out Rico, Sebastian and Richard from the old podcast. I look forward to bringing them back on sometime in the future. I gotta catch up with you guys again and also get my Skype connection smooth enough to do the call-ins. Till then hope you guys take care if you happen to stumble upon this episode before I catch up on the DMs ;)

Let me know guys how you got started, what your story is. Leave a comment if the platform allows for it. I'll try my best to keep up with all podcast distributors.

-Sayan.
