Season 2 Episode 2: Trump's Protest Quickly Turns Into Domestic Terrorism
ASSAULT ON DEMOCRACY
- Pro-Trump mob storms US Capitol as armed standoff takes place outside House chamber.
- Supporters of President Donald Trump have breached the US Capitol and one woman has been shot as one of the most iconic American buildings is engulfed in chaos after Trump urged his supporters to fight against the ceremonial counting of the electoral votes that confirmed President-elect Joe Biden's win.
- Shortly after 1 p.m. ET hundreds of pro-Trump protesters pushed through barriers set up along the perimeter of the Capitol, where they tussled with officers in full riot gear, some calling the officers "traitors" for doing their jobs. About 90 minutes later, police said demonstrators got into the building and the doors to the House and Senate were being locked. Shortly after, the House floor was evacuated by police.
Georgia Senate runoff election
- Democrats are moving closer to winning control of the Senate as Jon Ossoff continues to lead GOP incumbent Sen. David Perdue. The race is still too close to call, but Ossoff's lead has continued as more votes are counted.
- If Ossoff wins his race, there will be a 50-50 split and control of the Senate, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris acting as the tie-breaker.

Bobby Stutzman and Luke Mohatt grew up in Seward, Nebraska and both graduated from Seward High School in 1996. In Episode 4, Luke provides our listeners with a small insight into his experiences growing up in a small town as a gay man. Knowing there weren't much, if any, policies in place to protect the Rights of LGBTQ students, they both wanted to follow up Episode 4 with a more indepth conversation.
