Hello friends, welcome to the show. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful summer. If it was anything like mine, you were probably super busy with sports, vacations, family events and getting outside. I’m sure all of you are excited for football season, basketball is right around the corner, school is starting and fall is in the air.

I’ve been quite busy on the rehab and training side of things. I am now working with athletes remotely. If you are someone who wants to get rid of your knee pain, improve your strength numbers or get in a better routine at the gym, just send me a DM on Instagram or Twitter @tombroback and we can figure out a plan for you.

Also, next week my ebook Isometric Playbook is launching on Tuesday, September 13th! This guide will go over why you should be implementing isometrics in your rehab or training program. I cover the best exercises for the shoulder, spine, hip, knees and ankles. You will not want to miss this out. Make sure you check out my launch post on Tuesday!

As for today, my guest is Anthony Gustafson, aka Gus, along with my brother Chaz. Anthony shares his experiences as both a standout track athlete and successful football, basketball and track and field coach. We get into the nitty gritty of what it takes to be special and how you can still be a good teammate even when you need to take care of yourself individual. You will not believe the crazy technique Anthony used for his long jump mark in high school.

Enough from me, let’s get onto the convo with Gus and Chaz.

Hello friends! Thanks for checking out the Tom Broback podcast. Today I talk with my brother Charlie. He is a sports physical therapist at OrthoKansas in Lawrence, KS. We discuss the mental and communication tools therapists need to create buy-in from athletes. Charlie has a few good questions and thoughts on how to incorporate data tracking for rehab. Lastly, we talk NBA finals and why health is such a priority for professional athletes.

Thanks as always for listening to the show!

Hello friends, welcome to the show. My name is Tom Broback and I am on a mission to help coaches keep their athletes happy and healthy. I loved playing sports growing up. From backyard football to traveling basketball to high school track and field, there was nothing better than being on a team and playing to win a game. Unfortunately, I struggled with health issues and I know your athletes do too. This inspired me to become a physical therapist and sports performance coach. This podcast will help coaches like you learn how to keep your athletes off the bench and in the game.

Do you work with female athletes? Do you ever find yourself wondering how you can give more to their athletic development but don’t know where to start? Look no farther than the Strong Female Athlete Book from my guest today, Erica Suter. The Strong Female Athlete is an evidence-based and experience-based text with a fresh, novel approach for youth female athletes to improve speed, reduce injury, and increase strength. Erica combines her experience as an elite soccer player with her blossoming career as a strength and conditioning coach to help female athletes progress on and off the field. If you are someone who works with female athletes, you need to get this book (and, of course, listen to this episode) to level up your coaching game.
