I recently read a report that stated 67% of us are experiencing burnout!  While 50% of us state we can manage our burnout, 20% said it is affecting work performance.  51% of entry-level employees (Gen Z) reported mental health challenges directly tied to work and claimed they wanted more empathy.

Of course, I was in vacation mode, which allowed me to focus on my whole life and not just business, so I thought this was the perfect time to update my balance wheel and see where my life was aligned with my goals.

Sometimes the Captain needs to step back and see the bigger picture to ensure that all of the elements are working for you and not against you.

Are you feeling lost, overwhelmed, or irrelevant? I know I am; after the last few years and now getting back into life and live events, am I on the right course?

I don't have all the answers for this, but I can tell you the SOS Formula for that internal and external review. First, Stop… Oxygenate (breath) and Seek solutions or a new direction when you have had time to remove yourself (as much as you can) from what you are doing. If the definition of insanity is too accurate for you, you know, "doing things the same way and expecting different results," then listen up today to a few things that can reduce anxiety and allow yourself time to reconnect with yourself.

As I state in my business brand statement. "Connecting you to you so you can confidently connect with others."

If anything, the last two years brought us the “What’s Next” question.  We all had to do a little reinventing ourselves or taking a leap of faith and learning new skills.  My guest and friend Karen Gordon took the challenge to an all-new passion.
