The Yankees are on fire! Clint Frazier got called up, and has been just like the Yankees: on fire (1:00)! Andujar, however, probably couldn’t be colder (8:30). With the injuries going on, the Yankees’ lineup is forever changing, and we’re getting flashbacks from last season (12:00). Over the last 4 days, the Yankees BEAT DOWN on the Red Sox (25:40), 7-inning double headers and a runner on 2nd in extras, are we fans (28:30)? Fernando Tatis apparently broke some of baseball’s “unwritten rules” after hitting a grand-slam on a 3-0 count Monday night and we shared our thoughts on what the Rangers’manager said on the situation (40:00). We talked about a new app that we’re working with now (54:00). Zach Plesac and Mike Clevinger broke COVID protocols (1:05:00). Matt Harvey’s back (1:11:00)!

The first episode of the newly named Boogie Down Bombers Podcast! The guys start off talking about how on fire Aaron Judge has been lately (01:00) and move on to how the Yankees came back from their injuries last season, along with Stanton being locked in (05:00). Andujar in left field was the next topic, which is not the best, but Urshela playing third is the real deal. The boys also think Tauchman should be getting some more looks in left field (10:00). The Cardinals have had a mini-team-outbreak of COVID-19, which is not great for the NL (16:00). The Marlins and Phillies are coming back from their COVID-19 postponements (20:00). The Mets couldn’t find Cespedes, and both the Mets and Cespedes handled the situation pretty poorly (23:00). There was an Ohtani injury update mid-pod, and it wasn’t one that Tim was fond of (34:00). The guys went over the league stat leaders (39:00) and there was a recap of how the new pod name came to be (44:00)!

Baseball is back! Austin, Nick and Tim talk about the Marlins team-outbreak after Opening Weekend. Then the guys talk about how they feel without fans in the stadiums (11:00), Clint Frazier being sent down to the Yankees’ Triple A training site (17:00) as well as their least favorite broadcasters. They then bring up the stars of Opening Weekend (29:00) and the best debuts of players on new teams (36:00). Ohtani did not have a good first start and Austin and Nick did not forget about that (44:00). They boys also go on to show their feelings on the win-loss pitching stat (47:00) and the new extra inning rule (52:00). Gerrit Cole is a New York Yankee.

On the eve of Opening Day, Austin, Nick, and Tim get contentious about the Mookie Betts deal. Then they discuss their support for MLB players kneeling (12:00), talk about Domingo German's retirement (19:20), and go over the latest Yankee roster moves (24:20).  After that, the boys get excited about all the young talent in the Majors and Mike Trout being awesome (34:00), run through all the Yankee MVP awards (42:40), and round out the show looking at Vegas odds for team W-L records (50:38). Gerrit Cole is a New York Yankee.

We kinda watched “Nut Job,” we talk about the Yankees inter squad scrimmage, then debate our favorite type of pitcher. Then we discuss the scary moment when Tanaka was hit was hit by a comebacker, and other sports injuries. There is some breaking news about Patrick Mahomes’ new contract in the NFL, then we look at Yankees and other players who have coronavirus. Do players who opt out of the season or get hurt deserve criticism? (No.) Cleveland and Washington nickname changes.

One of your hosts, Tim LaDuca, recorded this special, one part episode for a history class about baseball in Mexico. Beginning with the introduction (0:00 - 3:30), Tim looks at how events such as "Fernandomania," and other aspects of baseball in Mexico helped shape Mexican identity after the Mexican Revolution. From 3:31 - 6:45, he gives an overview of Mexican national identity and then talks about what role sports served in Mexico before the Revolution began (6:46 - 11:45). The majority of the podcast is spent looking at baseball in Mexico such as the Mexican League raids on MLB players, the 1957 Little League World Series, and Negro League players suiting up to play in Mexico (11:26 - 31:41). After the conclusion (41:42 - 35:25), Tim records an interview with the Curator of History and Research at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, John Odell (35:26 - 54:09).
